I hope Cold Steel gives us more Atlas-Lock Mega Folders; the Atlas-Lock works with Mega or XL Folders. Myself, Imwould absolutely luv to have an Atlas-Lock Folder with a 5" or 5.5" or even 6" Blade that weighs between 6 and 8 ounces... That would be a Winner, I believe, for Cold Steel. Yes, I absolutely luv my 5-Max, too... It's another awesome New Mega from GSM, Cold Steel and Andrew Demko. So, yes, for someone like us, that's the priority. I totally get you, Bro! :-) For me, I think of the 5-Max as a Survival Folder. It's in my Bug Out or Get Home Bag I carry in my Trunk, everyday, back and forth to Work. I work in a different City than I live in. So, I always have my Emergency Equipment with me, in my Car. I always hope for the Best! But, I am always prepared for the worst! I have seen the Evil People can do to each other. I refuse to be a Victim. So, I am always prepared for the worst.. But, always hoping for the best... :-) The Mayhem isn't the one I'd pick for a Survival Folder. But, it is the one I'd pick for the Art of Fighting, Without Fighting! :-) Why? It's one Sinister and Intimidating looking Folder. It looks like a Folder that could chop off your limbs like a Meat Cleaver through Beef... And, it's a lot of fun to use and Handle and manipulate in hand. :-) I think you'd absolutely luv it, Bro! I know you absolutely luv the Combat Blades... And, the Mayhem definitely belongs with the Combat Folders! Every Cold Steel Fan should have at least one in their Cold Steel Mega Folder Collection!!! Right on! :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)
I wouldn't be surprised if Cold Steel brings back a Premium, Regular Production, Version of the Mayhem in the future. It will probably depend on how well the Mayhem does. I would like to see other, New, Mega Folder Models with the Atlas-Lock, too... I would like to see an Atlas-Lock Mega that weighs around 6 to 8 ounces... HAPPY MAYHEM DAY!!!! I'm so disappointed, I scored one on 4m4zon for 110 bucks and it was clearly used. They put a sticker over the cut sticker to hide it, but it was obvious by the scales and scratches on the blade that someone played with it, looked like it was in a torture test review video. The flash deal went away, but I bought a second one at 135 on 4m4zon with plans to send the used one back in the higher priced one's box, but that one was used too, with a sticker over the cut sticker to hide it, so unfortunately I sent both back and got nothin'. I can't get any knives off 4m4zon that aren't used, and it sux. When midway has them on sale again, I'll get one, hopefully it'll be at the closer to one hundie mark when they do.
