And I hate their priorities: A group of Jedi leave and create a new order that studies other philosophies? The Jedi call them heretics and decide to prepare for war. There are other Light Side orders in the galaxy? The Jedi decide to dismantle them by any means necessary. Separatists want to leave the Republic? The Jedi become generals and lead armies to subjugate them (granted, they were being led by Dooku, but still...) But when the Mandalorians have been conquering entire systems for nearly ten years, the Jedi do nothing and even criticize Revan and Malak for fighting them.
It’s a shame that the Je’daii order had to dissolve, their philosophy of balance was fascinating to me and I felt the right approach to the force. The legions in principle should’ve been allowed to study different force techniques imo, but then the Jedi began to be dogmatic and conservative and the schism occurred. I wondered how different the galaxy could’ve been if the je’daii had never split. Great video as always!
I think this would be true if the Force was more like the One Power or Harry Potter magic. If we’re going by George Lucas' vision though the Force is the energy holding the Universe together, it has a purpose and when you surrender to its will that's the Light Side and when you try and make it do what you want instead that's the Dark. So yeah, in most fantasy magic worlds I’d agree with you the more open-minded view is better but if the original Jedai had their way I’m pretty sure that would have just prolonged the split between people who let the Force guide them and people who wanted to control the Force. In this universe I don’t think you can have it both ways.
So the "light side aligned" Jedi order armed themselves first? Did the Force direct them to this path, or did their dogmatic fear of heresy lead them to violence?
Most likely the fear one. The light side teaches to promote peace and tranquility, yet the Light Jedi feared and possibly despised the Dark Jedi to the point where the Light jedi became the first aggressors
My own Head cannon is a lot of the Early Legions of Lettow Ranks were formed from the scattered Remnants of the Je’daii who follow Daogen Lok, kinda bringing it full center
There are many details in lots of different sources, but the main story can be found in Star Wars Essential Guide to Warfare. Starts on page 15. There is also a good bit of info in The Book of the Sith, starts on p. 12. :)

@@flamesofchaos13 well i mean i agree that the philosophy of the je'daii was the best imho and i would be one of them or a member of luke's new jedi order than either the traditional jedi or sith. the sith are honest in what they stand for that's for sure, but are responsible for a lot of bloodshed violence and fear. the jedi are arrogant, dogmatic and conservative and have committed atrocities as well, but in terms of aggression and general disposition, are not so openly hostile and violent as the sith. This isn't to excuse the jedi because they definitely have ton of faults, which luke in the EU realized and tried to correct
@@aamirrazak3467 Yeah Disney fucked him up by making Luke a Traditionalist Jedi and Shitty Uncle. Like he should've completely understood Ben's emotions and thoughts to help him through his shit. We should've had a New Jedi Order that reformed it's Dogmatic and Oppressive = Evil in my eyes views and allowed for more nuanced thought and powers with the Order. But no it always has to be Dark = Evil Sith and Light = Good Jedi even though they're also literally Evil in the films. Like they know how to make morally grey protagonists and characters and stories compelling ones at that...They've done it with Mando and Boba and the Squad in Rogue One. I would even claim Cal is a bit more of an individual with emotions rather than a traditional Jedi (as he should be and makes sense).
@@flamesofchaos13 yeah the Disney sequels were awful I don’t consider them canon what they did to Luke was disrespectful as hell. Luke to me is the grandmaster of the new Jedi order, who married Mara, is a dad to Ben Skywalker and who learns from the mistakes of the past order and reforms it better than before.
I wouldn't go so far to say the Empire making Sith Lord that orders destruction of whole planets...Right. But yes the Jedi Order should've ended long ago they're a radical extremist force of evil themselves.
generalnawaki, "the closed minded Jedi could have saved the Galaxy so much bloodshed. Sidious was right to wipe them out." You tell them, man, you tell them...
Sidious also blew up planets for resisting him and started a war that killed billions to gain personal power "They could have saved the Galaxy from so much bloodshed!" Yeah, if they finished off the dark jedi after the 100 Year Darkness
This only justifies why the Jedi were doomed to fall. Open-minded beings are the only ones capable of progressing, even Darth Bane and his Sith knew that.

The best channel for the best explanation of everything from Star Trek to Star Wars to GOT.
For supposed followers of the Light the Jedi seem to have a problem with aggressive actions.

@@smonkedweed7414 This. It's one of very few things I'm glad got decanonized... That TCW Mortis arc though... it... just needs to go too....

Love the early history of the je'daii

Most likely the latter. The Jedi have always believed that their way is the only right one. It is a theme that has been pretty much a tradition...
I wish for more Grey Jedi stories.

One for the eternal empire would be interesting also hopefully we get one for that story
Awesome video make more Star Wars!
The mandalorian wars from kotor would be cool to see you narrate if you haven’t already done it
The tragic tale of the legions of lettow.
Yes!!! Even more starwars ❤️❤️❤️
More stars wars please maybe one about the High republic with the new game coming out
I want to see this film
🔥🔥🔥
How does Rajivari fit into the Je'daii schism with Daegen Lok and his followers?
Deagan Lok was before Rajivari.
Jedi and Sith are the 2 sides of the extreme ends of the force and are equally wrong in their goals. The Je’daii order was the true way.
What a badass
Could you please explain the dune universe
Where can I read about this ?
