This short video shows a practitioner in full armor doing various sword drawing kata. They finish the set showing how to find someone in the darkness and finish them with your sword. The final part is done as tameshigiri (test cutting) on rolled up tatami mats.
The school is called SHOJITSU KENRI KATAICHI RYU and was founded in the late 1600's. The system contains various components of combat and is still practiced in Japan today. The are well known for their demonstrations in full armor.
