What a huge sound from three guys. I was in high school when this album was released. Such a treat to watch these three guys play as one. Thanks so much for posting this.
Never thought i would see this on video that album was unreal and this complets the whole performance of B.O.G. hopefully they will sho the whole concert .thanks U TUBE
😮You have got to be kidding me!!! I was just telling my 50 year old wife about this song that changed my guitar playing and Band Of Gypsys! Thank you so much 🙏🏾
So did I, wasn't he the coolest person? A book of photographs just came out from Fillmore East. The house photographer, so I had the Band of Gypsies shots copied hoping Buddy would sign them? Turned out he hadn't seen them before, and I gave him my extra copies. Couldn't believe how grateful he was?❤❤
Because it's possible that this was Jimi's twin {?}. They felt that enough time has passed that maybe no one will notice and get suspicious {?}. Pure speculation on my part.
@@criskatan I certainly wasn't thinking anything like that ! There's a comment below from three days ago by somebody who says he saw this clip 35 years ago, and if you check his channel you'll see he is a hardcore JH fan, so I think we can safely assume it's just amateur footage that has not been officially circulated. My original comment was just meant to say how stupid it is that there is no proper footage of the gigs, considering they were being recorded for an album, and how grateful I am to the guy who uploaded this glimpse of the way it was. I was thirteen when Hey Joe was released ( in England ) , and even though it was not a " real " Hendrix track, it made clear that he was the man - and he still is for me, and of course for millions of other people ....................
@@PIPEHEAD Yeah, well, in case you didn't know I seem to remember something about how they changed his middle name on his birth certificate. Well, same thing with Elvis. It was easy to tell that Elvis had a twin. Same thing with Layne. There was that stupid story about him changing his middle name from Rutherford to Thomas as if somehow we needed to know that. Do you see it yet? Intelligence loves twins!!
@@criskatan I had to google " Layne " to find out who you were talking about, and I've just watched a track by AIC which was good, I'll listen to some more - to me the name Layne means only one thing, Syd Barrett. When I was five Elvis was relevant, but compared to the Big Bopper he's of no interest. I bought Are You Experienced when it was the only Hendrix album in existence, and it doesn't matter who it was by, it's what it sounds like that's important. Surely if JH had a twin that implies that he's been in hiding since 1970 ?
@@PIPEHEAD Actually, IF there is a twin THEY'VE been in hiding since he had to fake his death due to an investment group associated with Capitol Records in pursuit of his $. That's why his manager owned the rights to some of his hits after that. And eventually he had to fake his own death a few years later for the same reason. It wasn't until 2006 that those same rights were privately {most likely} auctioned back to him. This would have happened because the threat had gone away by then as maybe people from the investment group had died off or something. Yeah, I know that the B.of Gypsies album was a compensation but they still thought that they were entitled to more.
This one it's the original., n it was almost destroyed by the media. Cus miles mensaje was to strong .. the media play a VERY short version on the radio.. listen to the words , my friend.. then u know why.. they use the short version..

@@itsnoneofucar8792 Actually, this is not the original. You only need to listen to the first few seconds to hear that it's another version, the drums and guitar are both slightly different. I bought the album when it came out in 1970 so I am pretty familiar with the original track. This is two minutes longer than the original, but JH edited the tracks for the album so the released version may have been longer before that. They played two consecutive nights at the Fillmore, and I believe they did two shows a night, so there could have been four versions of Changes altogether. Unfortunately, one of the biggest changes in music history was coming in Sept. of that new year. 😞
What do you mean "unfortunately"!!??
@@michaelgaskell7408 hendrix died? How is that not unfortunate?
@@erik9830 Yes, you're right,l mis-read the message.
I remember too well 😢
Greatest blues band
Tienes al mejor guitarrista del mundo y sin embargo el temazo se lo lleva el baterista y vocalista. Espectacular!!!!
Have not seen this in 35 years
Buddy Miles is rock solid, right here...
Love this, listened to it for years first time seeing it, it's Awesome 😊
Get Baggy's Rehearsal Sessions and hear them prepping for this.
Rarely and hard to find so cool 🤗👍👍👍
I wish it was louder.

Outstanding.
I dont know about Buddy Miles Singing tho . The Band of Gypsys LP and Disc are more refined.

Wow! Never seen this! Thnx for uploading!
If Hendrix had lived I think he would have gone to funk/soul...at least through the first half of the 1970's.
Totally agree. He’d have taken acid jazz boogaloo upside down
