Not in standard and Not even the main commander. It's a backup. What a fail.

@@lidali6421 Yea same here, it is kind of strange for sure, how they promoted this. But, if you were waiting for a busted card to be spoiled, this is most certainly it! If enchantments is your cup of tea of course.
I always watch the previews from the goldfish crew. I feel like I actually go away with good knowledge plus gets my brewing brain going when they go into the cards 😮

I think you're going the wrong direction with perch protection. Ideally, you use this to give another player(s) a fighting chance against the leader while you safely dodge something scary. Basically let a behind or a mid player find an answer to first place and then attempt to take the lead whenever you phase in.
I fell that if you give the strongest mf an extra turn he will be prepared when you phase in.
My thought was to use it when someone’s about to win, and give the extra turn to someone who’ll definitely lose before they get to use it
I hope tomer keeps making content with goldfish. Seth is a great creator but I think the variety of creators goldfish offers is what makes it so special. I enjoy the spectrum from crim’s maniacal trolling, to Seth’s chill and inviting communication, to tomers cynical and blunt takes and phil’s genuine love for the game as he’s doing some crazy combo. And don’t forget Richard being an old man yelling at the clouds 😂 Never change guys 👍

Seriously though, everyone working together really makes MTGGoldfish what it is - and I'm sure that I, among so many others, love and appreciate how well everyone synergizes despite having such uniquely different backgrounds and personalities. Nothing but being passionate and supportive.

For Perch Protection, if someone, say, Craterhoofs the table and is about to win the game, you could cast it, gift the extra turn to someone who is currently dying, and basically get a teferis protection plus four 2/2 birds to try and use on the clapback

Perch Protection looks dope as heck!
I like Perch Protection for giving someone else two turns to deal with the archenemy for you without much fear of it backfiring on you, I'm definitely putting it in my Mardu Goad/Politics deck.
People will cry about perch protection not realizing that this is just exactly how commander is played and won.
I love the card. I will put it right alongside my Tpro and watch the infinite combo player kill the others and not be able to kill me.
Called it, the only way to balance out gift a turn is to be protected for its duration.🎉

The 6 mana cost on Perch Protection means you will have a lot of pressure to play it at sorcery speed unless you put it in a draw-go style deck. So it's not as reactive as Teferi's Protection. Also, there are some extra turn denying cards and cards that hurt opponents each upkeep that might work nicely with giving an extra turn. Another weakness is if the opponent with the strongest board thinks they may lose to your your flyers when you get your next turn the may play defensively and not hurt the other opponents as bad as you hoped.
Also Evercoat Ursine compared to most other Hideaway cards, even the other hideaway Creature, doesn't enter tapped. So, if you have a haste enabler you could potentially get one of te exiled cards immideatley.
That badger is very interesting to me as someone who has a Slimefoot deck
I’ve been waiting for the wolf this whole time! Was hoping for more tribal wolf support but still seems decently strong to make a fun deck with.
I’m bummed about no major wolf tribal in this set😢
Definitely excited for this deck. Ramp up to some big flashy enchantments and artifacts and then smash in for big hits and refill the hand after ramping.
Perch Protection would be interesting in a Goad deck. Force your opponents to attack one another and then phase back in to hopefully a cleared out board state, or at least one that you can run over on your turn.

21:55 What if you copy Perch Protection enough times where you can deck someone with infinite turns and trust they kill the other two players or just bring them low enough so that they are on deaths door when you get to your turn! That’s kinda funny ngl
Honestly I think Brightcap Badger is good in almost any X/G deck. It basically gives you a free llanowar elf every turn.
Gonna need a rocket raccoon secret lair version of this commander
15:31 add amulet of vigor and this card becomes amazing in any Boros equipment deck

Alchemists Talent, if able to get to level 3, is similarly busted to terror of the peaks. But at that mid to late game in a green red, but creatures are dropping and smacking for big numbers to “EACH opponent.”
Can we talk about how the wolf only cares about enchantments, even though the deck is all about both artifacts and enchantments?
I have a Klothys Gruul Enchantment deck that I am switching to Wildsear. It’s chaos. It’s great. I love it.
8:12 Bad mana dorks cost 3 and add 1, or only add mana for specific things. Trailtracker Scout is a fine card. It's just a rampant growth/signet with upside.
First precon I'm gonna get as I'm still looking for a Gruul commander that fits my playstyle! Bello is gonna be a challenge, but probably worth it! I already have some cards set aside for him! Mainly better 4 drop enchantments since thats the way I'm gonna go with him. Stuff like the Leylines, and I might throw in some hate enchantments like Stranglehold and Burning Earth. Only gonna be running a few artifacts in my build, so going full enchantress style.
I feel like you just read each of the cards and thought about what other decks it could go in, and didn't necessarily consider them for the precon itself, with Bello. Take the Hamsphere. Yes, it could go well in vehicle decks... and it goes well with Bello, who essentially animates it for free. And sure, you could include a small vehicle package in a Bello deck, but I don't think it would be enough to do that as the whole theme, so it's worth talking about in the context of the precon, too.
Rolling hamsphere is a great finisher in a mishra, eminent one deck

I really wish Bello was Naya. Also, this is probably not optimal, but I wanna run Zendikar's Roil and Descendants fury to do an elemental tribalish theme with some landfall triggers. Playing Mana Echoes and Panharmonicon to play off ETBs 🤔

Wildsear is actually pretty grull. Sure you do see many enchantress deck but I think they want to reinforce cascade as a grull thing.
I'm sure I'll eventually get used to his voice, but I feel like he is straight from a Pixar movie.
Rolling Hamsphere should work with boars, too.

I'm definitely building Bello! He looks like a tone of fun and unique. Although the precon itself is very underwhelming. There are less than 20 artifacts/enchantments in the deck with CMC 4 or greater. Why is WOTC putting Burnished Hart in a precon in 2024?! Especially a green deck! Also there are so many random creatures in the deck that have NOTHING to do with the theme. Ghalta? Grothama? Etali? Goreclaw? Grumgully? Slots that should have been used for artifacts/enchantments. Wildsear and Bello are great, but out of the box, the precon is bad. 🤷
I absolutely agree. Burnished Hart is such a head scratcher.

Id give the weakest board state an extra turn so it’s less impactful. But tbh idk if it that good holding up 6 mana is a lot

It bothers me that Wildsear, the fire wolf we see on like a fourth of Bloomburrow art wasn’t even in the main set.
I'd say temur gets more enchantress support than dimir, or izzet, I wouldn't say temur is least supported

A 6 mana instant that doesn't even win you the game and the fact that the person you gift it doesn't have to attack the other players and just wait to kill you when you phase back in means that it's not salty. Holding up 6 is gonna be a stretch.

Give the extra turn to the someone who is behind instead of archenemy, to bring them back into the game to fight against an archenemy.
White is the first color in magic to get a card that gives someone else an extra turn, while being the only color without a monocolor extra turn spell. I guess WOTC is continuing their tradition of printing bad white cards.

Give the turn to the player who’s behind but won’t die. It’s a great bargaining piece, “Hey I’ll give you an extra turn but don’t use either turn against me”
