@@A_Class216 Dude Slicer may be old but it is quite capable. The "Play full sample" option is one of the features that really sets it apart. And it looks like Serato has that. Not even Slicex has this natively.

Excellent vid. Love that Maschine MK3 skin, too! And it looks like your MIDI Mode Template is all white with white colors on the Group Pads to keep a consistency. Classy as hell, with the dark screens. I should totally get that skin for my MK3!

Can somebody please help me. For some reason when I use this program the song keeps playing all the way through even if it hits the next chop. The audio won't cut once the chop is complete. How do I set that up?
There is a button on the top left that looks like a play button. Click that to change the mode
@@ohgoshleotus6584the button on my top left only makes it so the sample will play while I hold down and stop when I let go. I’m trying to figure out how whenever I press a key on my midi I want just that chop to play. Not for it to continue into the next chop. I’m tryna figure out how the chops sound on their own without overlap. And I know about mono/poly I have it set to mono. Any other ideas you got?
Hmmm that’s odd.
Usually if I WANT the chip to continue then I would press that button.
Maybe check to make sure that your sustain and pedal isn’t trippin.
Other than that, that button that I’m talking about usually controls, how do you want the sample to be played as far as the sample continuing when you trigger it or stopping when you let go of the key

i love Serato, but i toggle the "play" so that i hit the first pad and the sample will play out, allowing me to do MPC style chops on the fly. Try it out.

I love serato sample but my main daw is mpc 2.9 and I could not figure out for the life of me how to get my sample recorded into my daw. So I'm just going to switch to FL studio. It just seems like a better idea overall

What software are you using to capture your vid and audio?
If I load a sample in Serato, almost every time it indicates a totally different key (and BPM) than is indicated in the original sample. Say, the Logic X Pro sample library, Tracklib or Splice label their samples with different keys and BPMs. It's really hard to know where to rely on and it makes it even harder to combine different samples.
Does time warp help?

i have my chops but i need to record them onto the playlist so that i can put drums onto the sample. how do i record my chops? the mixer screen keeps coming up when I choose to record audio into the playlist as an audioclip and fl asks me to select an audio output first, + my microphone starts picking up my surroundings and playing it to me live lmao. I'm new to producing.

I think you might wanna read up on how to use your preamp/audio interface because it sounds like you have what on my preamp would be the monitor button which lets you hear the signal before it goes into a daw.
Either that or your room treatment needs to be made better for less reflections and diffusion.
