How sad is the state of music when King's X can't make a living with what they do?! One of the most, if not the most, underrated bands of all-time! Everything dUg does is gold!

Chris Branco Thank, in part, the fuckers who rob them -and all bands- by posting their albums here on the world's biggest illegal music streaming site.

Nothing but love, respect, and admiration for this guy. Let's all buy his solo record and get two people we know to buy it. It's a downright crime that he's not set for life off of kings x.

Sometimes in life you look back and realise how lucky you were to be in the right place at the right time - in 1991 I saw King's X support AC/DC in Glasgow, Scotland. I instantly knew watching Kings X that I was seeing the kind of band you only get every now and then. Great songs, amazing players and what really blew me away was that all 3 of them sang in harmony perfectly in all the songs. It sounded like 5 guys on stage but it was only the 3 of them creating this amazing sound on amazing songs. I immediately bought 'Out of the Silent Planet' and 'Gretchen..' and I was blown away. I played my 'Gretchen' cassette constantly until I had to buy the CD!
Every single King's X fan cannot understand why they never got far, far bigger selling millions of albums but sometimes I like that they are not too popular - it still feels like they are a 'secret' band that only few people know about and I don't want them to turn into something like U2 or Metallica in terms of numbers, I love that I really dig this band that still so many music lovers are unaware of. I do want them to be financially ok because compared to some high-selling crap music out there, these guys are just legendary to me. I hope I get to see them again some day but if it does not happen, at least I'll always know that 'I WAS there....' Peace.

Dug Pinnick - 63 in 2014. Man I can't believe it - he looks so youthful and he hasnt changed much. It'sUnbelievable that this band can't make a living at what they do. They should be huge - incredible band. Great, great musicians. I am so looking forward to seeing them at the Sage, Gateshead later this year.

For the longest time Ty Tabor's sound/tone was so incredibly awesome and he kept his amp's a complete secret... Finally he let it out that he had some old Lab Series Amp's and I realized that I used to have one of those solid state rigs. Great sound.

well, KXM charting as respectfully high as it has been could shake things up a bit for the king's x world..i kind of had a feeling that X wasnt making a living because they tour so sparingly..but its true, the industry is like that. ive loved king's x since 1990, they are so versatile, truly talented. really good to see dug livin' the dream. love to dug always!

For those of you that download music illegally and share files: You are screwing over the man in this interview and his bandmates. If you like what he does, buy his music, go to his concerts, and buy a T-shirt every now and then. If you don’t, all that amazing music will go away.

I love Kings X but Dug simply gets on my nerves. Lives in LA, owns at least one house elsewhere and yet he claims to be broke and was e-begging for money for medical treatment. He's pissed his money up a wall and then has the nerve to ask fans for money like that. At 63 years old he should be ashamed of himself.

You don't seem to realise a. How much medical care costs in the u.s.a. and b. How very little any band outside of top 40 radio makes.

sourcescience Fuck you! Do you think he's a multi millionaire? KING'S X has never had a gold record, a hit single, never sold out an arena, apparently you didn't hear him say "we can't make a living bieng KING'S X!" The number one cause of bankruptcy in America is medical emergencies. Why don't you just start barking out loud, you would make more sense.
