Thanks for the video, but the music you added is SUPER distracting, especially since it's so loud. Very difficult to focus on the info and hard to hear you sometimes.

The flex cable is prone to breakage as you slide the USB port in and out. Better copy or remove your recordings rightaway after recordings.
is it possible to go backwards as desired. fastforward and fastbackward does not serve the purpose
No memory card slot on this Sony UX533 just the 4gb flash memory ? Looks like the Sony PX440 is better value as it has a memory card slot

i need help.
I am using sony ux533 using aux in line recording but when i play only one side ie the right side is producing the output.
the input came from a mixer with left and right cable merged into 3.5 mm jack .
the 3.5 mm jack is inserted into the red color coded Mic at the UX533
anyone can help me?

hi very good video thank i have questions i wander if this sony voice recorder have options re recording or editing a recording i mean like old cassette player when you lessen to recording if you dont like something in middle you can erase it and star over again from there ?
+pishi me : No you cant do it with stock features. But you can download softwares which can help u edit the clip, crop trim etc ..
i really dislike the un boxing, if I needed you to show me how to take stuff out of a box I need more help than youtube. Your review didn't explain any of the settings other than not picking a mp3, but you don't explain why. Where did you get the 1,000 hours record time off from less than a 2 gig memory.... how long does the recharge battery last since there is just one? Did you mention a 64 gig sd card is not supported, it has to be as far as my small research goes 32 or less. Currently trying a 8 gig to see how long it goes with that one battery. Give us real info please.....

Every video Cam will have inbuilt mic. If you want you can connect external mic as well.
i recorded music at music festival with this recorder sony ux533. its crap. My wife recorded with mid range smatphone. much sharper. i did this with my pocket video cam last year. that was amazing. Ordinary camera have far better performance than expensive smartphone cam. I do expect same. My audio recorder should outperform expensive smartphone. I have to check. your advice is needed.
of course it is better than the smartphones. but u have to adjust the settings based on the circumstances.
How can I add a recording to a previously recorded message?
+mem04m I don't think you can't on the device it self. Maybe you can do it with the software that comes with it?

I have the same issue too. My 32 GB MicroSD is recognised by my PC but when i unplug it the microsd card is stoped and not recongnised. The solution is Power Off the icd ux533 and restart.
Tengo el mismo problema, cuando conecto el icd ux533 a mi Pc, mi micro sd de 32gb es reconocida y leída por ella. Pero al desconectar el grabador la microsd se tilda, se traba. Entonces tengo que apagar y volver a encender el grabador para que vuelva a funcionar bien. Saludos

for the love of god, delete that music in the background .... there's no need for it and it is so annoying. you didn't really do a review of the product or show how you take the recordings off the device onto your computer ... a pretty key part of the usage. disappointing
I understand. I was bit new to reviews. I did cover that part while explaining the features. Anyway, you can just plug in the device itself to your laptop with its inbuilt USB connector. Then use it as an external mass storage and import your audio files.
