FFS, WHERE ARE YOUR RESPIRATORS?? WHY do you _think_ these videos are worth dying over? If _everything_ has been left abandoned, it's about a 99.9% chance that the house & contents are sick af with mould & mould spores!! These spores are infectious, transmitable & deadly. Why not eliminate any & all risks by wearing proper suits & respiratory gear?
If in 5 years you make your own family sick with brain damage & lung issues you could be too dead to care! 🤬🤯🤞

You should check out Dark Exploration Films. He’s always respectful and does an amazing job of giving a nice history of the place he’s exploring in every video. This is his latest video but I don’t think it’s one of his better ones but that’s due to my not caring for sports/NASCAR. He has way better videos.

Toilet water was an old name for women's cologne.

    • @fudzzz

The term is still in use today and can be found on many perfume bottles, but written in french: "eau de toilette". It's usually lighter than regular perfume (contains less essential oils).

Hi Brennen!! Laughing at the toilet water~ it’s perfume silly boys 😁 Also known as eau de toilette, its a less expensive formula than full perfume. As far as the Latin, it was a subject common in high school amongst higher level students even back when I was in school. So educated families would have had Latin books etc. also the series of books was very common to have fancy bound books of classical literature. I have some myself. Very interesting contents!! Thought it was very strange the way the place was sort of deconstructed yet it had China and books. Wish we knew the history of the place. So happy to see a new video!

There is a lot of very interesting things in this house . My mother was in high school in the forties and Latin was a required course . Much of the English language is derived from Latin . Photography was expensive back then . People didn't take pictures like they do today . So when a family had a photograph taken it was a big deal and they dressed in their Sunday best . The reason they didn't smile in the picture is that they had to sit very still for quite some time . It took awhile to expose the picture . it wasn't like today where we just snap TBE picture and your done . I hope that make sense . For the painted ducks . They can be valuable depending on when and who painted them . There were other things in that house that had value like that potatoes chip can and that other canvas picture in the frame . It's a shame to just leave all that history there to just get ruined and lost for ever . I hope my information has been helpful . I would love to go in that house just to look at all that stuff . I love old things . Great viedo .

The extra sinks were probably put in for defeathering and cleaning the birds and stuff they hunted. That process can be messy. That brown 1991 is a reasonable date based on the age of the stuff. telephone, if it is the model I think it is, it is worth money and people in the USA collect them. The stuff in the house is from the 80s and back. Nice find.
The snow is so pretty. We don’t get much snow here. I was surprised as hell when I discovered snow doesn’t make any noise when it falls. lol

There were some holiday stemware glasses that I recognize as something like Hardee's or Arby's or somewhere gave out as a promotion in the late 80's/early 90's. I have a couple. So yeah that timing is about right.

So the horse tack you found was a bridle with blinders, which would be used for a horse that was pulling something. Plow, wagon, cart etc.
The “toilet water” was very old perfume. I giggled lol.

I have to say..& I’m sure I’ll get shot down for this as I know it’s not the proper etiquette when visiting abandoned places, but I’d find it *so* difficult leaving some of those beautiful books behind, knowing the likelihood they’ll one day perish alongside the building is highly probable. It would kill me! Just knowing I could read & enjoy them, & bring them back to life by sharing them all over again.. ah, I know I’m a soppy bugger, but books are precious. They’ve passed through people’s hands that are now long gone, they’re a moment in history we won’t ever get back. I just feel it’s such a waste to leave them rotting (I certainly don’t mean you personally, just a generalised statement!)
I’m always intrigued too, to know why places like this became so abandoned in the first place. Was it just not financially viable? Did the person fall ill or pass away, & have no one to pass the property onto? Who knows - I wish I did though lol! Peaks my interest.
And I’d also say the carpet on the ceiling was for insulation.
Thanks for a fantastic find & upload as always x
