You have to understand that is average from Vision, Short Pass, Long Pass/Crossing. His vision and short pass are well above 83 but his long pass is probably below 80 (understandable, he's a striker) which is why it's 83.
P.S. he doesn't hold the record, it's tied with KDB.

94 pace is an understatement of Thierry Henry's speed
He had the record for highest recorded top speed in a football match.
Yeah, a lot of his stats should be higher, but the problem is that they got to keep him at 92-93 range overall in order to stay in line with the other greats, so that means they have to underestimate some of his stats. If they gave all these really great players their exact stats, it will break the game.

Every year they disrespect Thierry's card. Giving him low balance, mediocre composure, low passing, low physicals, not enough pace for what he was. Same every year. I dont know who makes these decisions but they obviously never watched T ball. Pure disrespect to a legend and best ever premier league player.
They should just look at his ratings in the old FIFA games from 2004 to 2006. I'm sure he was rated much higher than 92.

I remember he was an excellent passer, even for a winger. And even 94 pace is likely a bit low. It was extremely rare that his opponents could keep up with him even though he was carrying the ball. Often opponents looked knackered, and Henry barely broke a sweat. The game is certainly faster now, but this guy wasn't just athletic. He could have have been a professional track runner. Recency bias is real.

Prime Henry was 188cm/88kg (6'2/200lbs) so 90 physically. Passing isn't only about assists, dribbling and shooting are debatable.
Physicality is not only strength, so i think 80 is fair.

In his peak Highbury years I never saw Henry outpaced in any match when he was at full speed, not once, once he hit full stride no one could live with him. Even seen him outpace Dennis Rommedahl even who could have been a sprinter. Henry was recorded running a top speed of 39.2km/h, thats faster than anyone has ever recorded in the PL since they started recording sprint times every match for about the last decade. He should be top speed 98, acceleration 97.
From a physical pov, yes he wasn't on the same level as Drogba for strength but you watch some of his matches back and he was very strong, its so underrated how strong he was because everyone always talk about how fast he was. He also had a tremendous leap, just wasn't that brilliant at headering.

Henry had that mental strength as well, I know it's different to physical strength, but if you have a strong mentality in boxing for example, you get up from heavy punches more. In Henry's case, I've seen him angry and he will take freekicks repeatedly and put them FLAWLESSLY, penaltys too. And mental strength in Henry's case meant he wouldn't let you stop him, he had that strong mental confidence where he believed in himself so much, he felt he could win every challenge.

Pele, van basten, are out of the question, the defense back then sucked and they’d get torn apart in todays game.
Suarez and benzema are good but nowhere near elite or legendary like the 4 above. Romario I’d say is in the top 15 strikers list but just not elite.
Used to have dreams that Henry would play for my club one day, Sheff Wednesday (I did say it was a dream!!!). In his prime, he was the most entertaining player on earth. If he got the ball, you knew there was magic on the way. The speed, precision, finishing, the attitude. One of the all time greats.

Henry is the best striker the premier league has ever seen. From the players who scored more than 100 PL goals he has the highest scoring ratio. He also made 80 asissts in 285 games. He is the only player to both score and assist more than 20 times in a season. “92” is criminally low.
Titi's card is a clear understatement of what abilities the man truly possesed, an insult to his contribution to the game... and his reaction was just right.
On the other hand, not a lot of people were probably keeping their eyes on Micah except when he blundered and pretty often too, but his pace is definitely not 85, that man was a tank with porsche like speed and I loved that Henry felt disgusted on his behalf too despite his larger than life energy
Some of the Icons get nice upgrades so they can be useful in the game, while some of them like Henry get ratings like this so they cannot be broke in game.

I remember a goal he scored at Blackburn after a 1 2 with Fabregas. Seemingly barely touching the ball at full flight it rocketed on the net so hard from like a mile away. Mehn it was smooth

I hope one day ea will do these videos with the actual stats and what these numbers represent. Would make a much more interesting video to see players react to the actual specific stats, rather than the overall numbers. Pace for example: acceleration, sprint speed, etc. Passing:short pass, long pass, through balls, etc. Strength: physicality, jumping, heading, etc. These numbers are just averages, and not actual representation of the stats.

As a Man Utd fan, Henry was one of those strikers that put Arsenal in direct competition with a good Man Utd team. As years go by, you begin to appreciate and respect some of the legends that played football during those times. Even if from rival clubs. Henry is one of those players.

That's terrible for Thierry. He was unstoppable and tenacious with it too. As an opposing fan he would be one of the very few I'd pay money to watch. That card and score is a disgrace.
FIFA's rating system is the issue. It's not as if they rate players well and made a mistake here. Players get ratings based on their positions

The person who gave Henry his stats either never grew up watching him or they didn't want to overpower him in the game! Pace should be at least 97. Passing should be close to 90. Physical should be in the 90's

He is among my favourite players of all time. No one could catch a running Henry. It was like the ball was magnetically attached to his feet. He could dribble past anyone, and score the most ridiculous goals. What an icon.
I agree with Henry on physicality. He is way above 80. In the world cup final against Italy there's this time when Gattuso tries getting in a shoulder-to-shoulder with Henry, and Gattuso just bounced off Henry's shoulder like Superman repelling a bullet😅
