Oh mate I bet that concrete floor was sucking the warmth out of you. A cut down Bundswehr folding mat will slip down the back section of your pack nicely, massive benefit for the little extra weight.
I picked up that folding cooker too, great bit of kit. I found fire dragon disappointing compared to hexy, not as potent so you end up having to carry more. I won’t bother buying it again.
I like the stripped back basic loadout, enough kit to keep you warm and dry, fed and watered. All the kit is tried and tested and simple, no noisy gas stove just a lighter and block of fuel. No time consuming shelter, just jumping in your bivvy bag and get your head down.
Thanks for the vid, I always enjoy them.

on a few occasions i have slept in pill boxes, blockhouses, and such and found them to be colder than sleeping outside, think sometimes they need a few bodies in them to warm them up.
... still kudos on you for getting out there and doing some training, (looks like you found somebodies planned bug out point)

Try a Klymit field mattress.. They roll up small enough to fit is a smock pocket (slightly larger then a beer can in size) but offer the performance of a full on inflatable field roll and then some..

Nice little vid mate, just a thought 🤔 what about a snug pac jungle blanket, don't weigh loads and come in a compression sack and I'm pretty sure they pac down to less space then a complete softie suit. Be idea to wrap up in a bivi bag, as an insulating layer. Especially as you'd be going light, and not carrying a doss bag. Plus you can always wrap it around you if you can't set up a proper basha, and can only prop up against a wall or tree to get your head down for the night. Could even just leave it in your vehicle and grab if you need to get out of dodge.
Another idea 💡 ikea are knocking out fleece blankets for about £3 each, no weight and roll up to the size of say a litre coke bottle. They do a white one, and I don't think you'd have to be a man from UNCLE to dye it either black or olive for a more tactical look. Again another item to sling in the car/ van until needed.
Obviously not going to be as warm as a woolen blanket swagman bed roll but no where as heavy.
As I say just a thought. More for winter then all year round use. And then more for a survival point of view then a glamping item. Hypothermia sucks balls big time when helps available. Be game over if on the run and E&Eing in a real life bug out shtf scenario.
Anyway great informative vid mate, and if anything shows the importance of survival caches along your route or bugout location.
    ATB Rob 👍

What about keeping a low profile while bugging out? Backpack that does not look tactical, military. Rather normal looking clothes. I live in Poland and we do not have wilderness here. It is mostly rural, suburban terrain. Guy with a huge, surplus pack will stick up like a sore thumb. Having a lot of attention on us is not the best thing during an emergency

Yes you are right in what you say. But in my location its very rural and easy to bugger off into the countryside plus in this instance I can't do this in a town or village. Don't think the locals would like it . All valid points mate atb .

@@shovelreccy Another thing is addictions. I was afraid of 2022 so I quit smoking, drinking alcohol, quit on sugar, fast food. I have been rucking and working out since 2020. People will be in deep trouble when various withdrawal effects hit them at once. Especially nicotine and coffeine

EnE is not a fashion show. When the hammer drops you go low and sneaky into places other wont go. CAMCON is and will be the order of the day. No time to worry about what others say or think about camo or the like..If you stick out like a sore thumb its not because of your "huge ruck" its because you screwed up and been made by OPFOR, and are probably getting robbed and raped by tweekers, marauders and/or commies (or all).
