Was amazing...brought me back to playing with my own GIJoes. Such nostalgia...I am 43 and wish I could play with my old toys one more time. Thanks guys
My brother, if these vids achieve nothing else, I hope they show that it's never to late to play with your Joes. I hope you get to do so again... soon!
It’s actually a GI JOE A-10 Thunderbolt from the 15th Anniversary line back in 1997! GI Joburg had that long before we had an actual Rattler so it stood in for the Cobra plane in this film.
So how is this series a million times more awesome that either (or both) live action Joe movies? I’ll tell ya, it’s because it was made with Honour, Duty, Courage and lots of fun.
I never get tired of hearing how much better we do Joe than Hollywood. But then I stop to think how bad those films were at representing our toyline and then I wonder: "if the bar is that low, how is this a compliment?" I kid! Thanks for the comment Russ!
You must be a real rock hound! The embattled Joe base in this sequence was shot in an old quarry! I love the sheer rocky sides and the pool of water at the bottom. A very dynamic environment to play with aquatic, terrestrial and airborne vehicles!
That was great thanks for bringing back the memory's I'm in the UK and I've been getting back my GI Joe collection and I've managed to get some stuff I didn't have when I was a kid go Joburg 😁👍👍👍👍
These were the best noninformational things Ive ever watched on UA-cam! Great job folks!!!! Please give us more! I could watch you play all day. Heh. You were awesome employing the details of the playsets, vehicles, and personalities! And good voiceovers too! All together....wonderfull!
This really was so frog frick'n great! The location, cinematography, dialog, character, sound effects, music... I particular enjoy the music change for Stalker's jet pack attack scene! Awesome!!! The Striker looks great with the setting sun behind it! Super Sweet!!! : )
In reality the Sky Striker locks up the Rattler from BVR and ices it...BUT IT DOESN"T MATTER!!!! THAT WAS AWESOME!!!! Takes me back to my kid days too!!!
Thank you! Would you believe the camo is an official Hasbro release from 1997?! We shot this before we had an original Rattler to hand so it had to stand in!
mine too! air tight is a close second. dun worry about that prisoner tho...shipwreck took him to see a nice romantic comedy movie and have a fancy seafood dinner..plus he promised to call on Saturday!
@Fragminion Does the Convention apply to Cobra? I mean, you have to have both an Official Uniform and a country officially recognized by the U.N. under your rulership to apply for the rules of the convention. Cobra may have a uniform, but do they have their own country at this time?
Now I gotta know what the diversion was for!!!! And whoever did Lady Jay and The Baroness’ voice, did a great job. Weasels lisp was a nice touch. Oh and last but not least Airtight’s gag with Dukes chair. Classic 😂👍🏻
They've been successfully medivacced under cover of darkness. They're gonna have the fight of their lives but they're gonna also have the best help anyone can get back on the Flagg. Hang in there guys!
Incredible. Thats remind me one comics of gi joe writting for hama on ace and lady J tested skystriker improvements and wild weasel and the baronnesse do the same. Im still have that comics. Great job guys
These shit deserves an award just on the strength of the ingenuity and the cinematography. Those sunset shots were dope as fuck. You guys are an asset and treasure to the community. YO JOE...BURG!
These are so fun to rewatch, just to pick up the nuances you missed before, especially all the homages to the characters’ voices. You REALLY do your homework on these characterizations!
Well done. I loved this whole series and I wish I could be part of it. The dog fight reminded me of the comic and great job getting the ladies involved. They both did well with their voice acting. Poor Ace. Although he got shot down, he at least got to see the sunset with Lady Jaye. Hope Flint doesn’t find out. Can’t wait to see what the diversion Lady Jaye is talking about.
Thanks Troy. I'm proud of how this little thing has developed. Very organic. It happened by accident! We wanted to shoot a Ghost Striker review but the weather wasn't playing nice so we hoved off to the beach with four choppers and a TTBP! And now we have a plot! And a voice cast! Sky's the limit now! Or is that space, rather? We might do the Defiant if the votes go that way over on our Go Fund Me.
Still my favorite episode...I can’t believe how many times I can watch this one, the Bludd and Recondo episode, and Gung Ho and Copperhead. You have such a knack for pairing characters fabulously.
Thanks Derek! I can’t really take full credit tho, the Weasel and Baroness/Ace and Lady Jaye thing was good ol issue 34; Gung Ho offers up a quote on Copperhead’s filecard... and as for Bludd and Recondo, they were two figures I had no real love for UNTIL I threw them together for Blood In The Water. I love the angle that we all start out with the purest of intentions... but we get a little older, learn some hard lessons about the world, get burned (or in the case of the Major, lose an eye!) and pretty soon your attitude is one of “to hell with the world, as long as I get my cut...”
GI Joburg Damn, I love the insight you bring; any hope for a Destro story, with....hmmm....say, haven’t seen my favorite Warrant Officer in awhile? With Destro being a relative of Lady Jaye, Flint and Destro would have some good chemistry.
My kids loved this! They can't wait for the next Blazing Sands episode.. after we watched this they had to make a war between the Transformers and our Star Wars toys. Sadly no Joes here currently.

@@gijoburg Taking the time to film and edit gives you some artistic merit and entertainment value for viewers, otherwise you'd just be adults playing with toys.
Ooooooh, I don't know, I think he did clip the Striker. And Ace is just too good at snapping some g's for those heat seekers to get him. But yeah, laughed out loud at your comment man 😂

That said I feel no true anguish for my destroyed toys, as they did their job until they met their end. Mostly the collector in me wishes I could have salvaged more of the goodies both for posterity and for those hard times when ebay cash would have been grand. I feel sad for kids these days who JUST play video games or mobile stuff. I mean I enjoy video games but I also went outside and made my own stories and worlds. I fought tooth and nail against Cobra, the Decepticons, the Foot Clan, you name it; or at times had the villains really win a helluva victory before the good guys got their second wind.

And yes, the Rattler is 🔥 alright. Expect to see the blue variety on this channel before long. Also sporting an unbroken gunner hatch... 😝
GI Joburg oh that's so unfair. It's that kind of issue that we as viewers don't get to see. You do an excellent job and put loads of effort into a video that gets busted for using a snippet of a song.
When you have a sit down with a bare-chested cobra accountant that is dressed like a giant goddamned furby with a REAL falcon perched on his shoulder on "casual friday".....u listen.
Walmern Neiva it’s technically not an A10, but yes it very much resembles one visually. But like a lot of military tech in cobras Arsenal there is a lot of sci fi fantasy. The rattler is cobras multirole fighter, this bad boy was even responsible for some fantastic dogfights in both the comic and cartoons against jets like the skystriker (modified f14s). Because we both know A10s aren’t vtols or fully competent fighters. Thanks for the comment, hope you enjoyed the vid. -Paul
I thought of breaking the 4th wall and say "Stuntstriker!", but I thought that would be naff in an otherwise pretty visual. Yeah, I don't feel much pain in ditching the Modern. Also I modded it so it could have wings out with gear up!
I can't believe you crashed that marvelous piece of art, and unique collection item on the water, what about the stickers? They don't do them anymore!!! You're awesome guys!!! I have damaged collection but I just want to play with them again, thanks to you guys, even grown up adults still a have their inner Joe 100% alive.
Only thing I like is crashing it without feeling like I’m trashing a thing of beauty. I got so annoyed at the reissue for making a whole generation of toy enthusiasts scratch their heads and wonder why the Skystriker was such a big deal. Rrrrr.
Love it! Nice easter egg re the backseat crew!! Strato Viper would have owned Ace just sayin ;) and somone needs to check what airtight us putting in the Yojoe Cola's judging by what is happening to Shipwreck... P.S. someone better make sure Flint doesn't see Lady Jaye and Ace on the beach at sunset. Looks like I am gunna have to go drop some more $$ in the joefundme.
Thanks for commenting Darren! I suppose we need to observe canon with Flint and Lady Jaye being a thing; there was a draft of the script involving a kiss at sunset. But I don't think I'm ready to make my Joes do kissy kissy.
And yeah, if this involved a Night Raven, it would have been over in seconds. I hope I can grab a Conquest at JoeCon and have it square off against my Raven some day.
Great conclusion my friends. Can I just ask who did the female speaking parts? Can't wait to see the next project. Lots of appreciation and support sent your way!!!
Soooooo lucky to have friends who will pla...uhh... work with you on this! My so-called friends, would never do this. Do you know how hard it is to do this by yourself? Good job
I am indeed very lucky. Not only do I have friends that play with me, but my wife does too! Though I do know how tough it is to shoot these series’ alone. Bad Luck Lady and the sequels were shot entirely by me on my ace. They had to be, I was working abroad in China!
I really enjoyed this series. I saw all the Atlantis episodes and I must say that you brought back my entire eighties childhood. Thank you so much. I love how you use the actual music from the Sunbow Cartoon. Where did you get the cargo plane used in the beginning of this video? Awesome show. YOOOO JOE!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks so much Aaron! Means a lot to know it took you back to those good times. We had a blast making them and showing the world. The plane is called a Shark by a company called Chap Mei for their Sentinel 1 toyline. It was sold primarily at Toys R Us.
Oh the shame of being shot down from that wimpy little gun turret on top of the rattler. No wonder Ace's nerves are shot, the other pilots are going to make fun of him so hard back on the Flagg.
Only due to Wild Weasel's flying I'm betting could she even hope to get a good shot or maybe it was the last head on pass by that got Ace. Those two go way back, having much history, despise and respect for each other told in the comics, #34 I believe is a good reference.
Absolutely. Hama/Wigham are two of the brightest lights in GI Joe and definitely our chief inspiration for this ep. Toss in a Cape Town beach at sunset and I'm pretty happy how things turned out. Thanks for the comment!
I used two! My sister is an actor and lent her voice for Lady Jaye; and another actor friend of mine was the Baroness. And I couldn't be happier and more grateful to have had their help!

Keep playing Marco! If these vids serve no other purpose, may that be the one!
@@gijoburg thanks I will, young spirit forever, and keep on with this awesome movies, that are better than the cartoons and Hollywood movies.
Good job!
Hey! Thanks Marcos. And thanks for commenting. It means a lot to us.
I fucking love this!
Why thank you very much!
I'll custom paint mine as Yukikaze😁
Next episode should have the BATS ( battle Android troopers)
You betcha!
Man I could do some editing to make them look like there really flying this is awesome
You guys should do the next gijoe movie . The action and story and details are top notch . Yo joe .
...a toy fan can always dream, right?
Love how you crashed the re issue skystriker not the vintage
Hahaha! The “Stuntstriker”. At least it’s good for something.
@@gijoburg ya. Its plastic is cheap. Only thing i like about it is the black tail fins. True to the cartoon
Only thing I like is crashing it without feeling like I’m trashing a thing of beauty. I got so annoyed at the reissue for making a whole generation of toy enthusiasts scratch their heads and wonder why the Skystriker was such a big deal. Rrrrr.
@@gijoburg well said. It was the cheapest way to fill my Flagg tho. The original was an indestructible beast
if I ever rebuilt my GI JOE collection, this is exactly what I'd be doing with it. XD
NIIIIIICE! Get started man, is life getting in the way? Not even a bit of hanging space for one teeny SKYSTRIKER!?
Dude that was awesome 🤘
Thanks Allan! And thanks for commenting! UA-cam algorithms are loving us!
I loved the brrrrt of the rattler
Lady Jaye and Ace got them moves man :D :D awesome episode brothers :D please don't stop making these :D Viva la Gi joeburg :D
Thanks bro! Tho I reckon it was a tie, heck maybe even a win for Cobra! They limped home...
GI Joburg "don't worry flyboy, it was worth it :D :D "
[camera tilt up to take in the sunset] [fade to black]
... maybe in this plot line Flint and LJ aren't a thing?! Hmmmm...
@3:04 😁😂🤣 Fuck is Shipwreck doing to that guy while he's signing, "In The Navy,"?😂😅🤣
Uh… frisking him?! 😝
@@gijoburg 👌.
Oh the shame of being shot down from that wimpy little gun turret on top of the rattler. No wonder Ace's nerves are shot, the other pilots are going to make fun of him so hard back on the Flagg.
😂
Only due to Wild Weasel's flying I'm betting could she even hope to get a good shot or maybe it was the last head on pass by that got Ace. Those two go way back, having much history, despise and respect for each other told in the comics, #34 I believe is a good reference.
That was a Cool!
Thanks! Given your UA-cam handle, I take it you're an aircraft enthusiast, just like me!
Love it!
Oh my great goodness
I....i.....actually love this
And we love that you love this stuff! YO JOE!!!
Instant classic!
Awwwww! Thanks S!
Was this whole episode an homage to issue #34 of the original comic? Great work.
Absolutely. Hama/Wigham are two of the brightest lights in GI Joe and definitely our chief inspiration for this ep. Toss in a Cape Town beach at sunset and I'm pretty happy how things turned out. Thanks for the comment!
Question time! Who is our female voice over artist ? 1st time we are getting it !
I used two! My sister is an actor and lent her voice for Lady Jaye; and another actor friend of mine was the Baroness. And I couldn't be happier and more grateful to have had their help!
awesome!
