I love how he describes God because that's exactly how I feel when I pray but I always felt a sense of guilt or wrongdoing for not believing in what others say God is. By far one of favorite videos of Dan, He has grown so much. And Rupaul is defintely an inspiration. One of the worst things in the world is spiritual poverty. These guys get it.
Dan Harris is one of The last GREAT 🇺🇸 American News Anchors. His voice is commanding and instills trust in the listener. Idk about you, but there are NOT MANY people associated with ANY of (the ruthlessly backstabbing betraying and traitorous) media, that I would describe as honest, respectable, or beneficial to society but Dan Harris is one. He has my respect for being straightforward and honest, transparent and willing to humble himself for the greater good.
Prayer is talking to Universe, meditation is listening to Universe. Not dogmatic, of course, there are several layers and such, but as a starting point, I've found it helpful

A gem of an interview. GuRuPaul IS an ascended master. Shapeshifting Seeker. Ardhanarishvara. But poor Dan... years of "formal training in meditation" & still doesn't get the basics... It's like he keeps reading recipes of how to bake a cake, took expensive classes with pastry chefs & witnessed them bake a cake, or helped with the prep work & yet had NEVER actually gone into his own kitchen, just LET IT GO & just BAKE THE DAMN CAKE.
Ru had, what I always have referred to as, "A Knowing". This is a sense that I believe we are born with. I also remembered certain comments my Mother made that always stuck with me and got me through my rough times. I wish that everyone could, or would tap into this KNOWING. But we're all here for different lessons aren't we? Thanks Ru for sharing.
Why Repaul is not expecting that he is using a Buddhist way of meditating to clam his mind. Cuz I can clearly see that the method of soothing his mind is practicing Buddhism way “sort of speak” for sure but he is not admitting it. That is very peculiar! 🤔🤕🤥❤️💝🌸🌺🌹✌🏼🌍

Rupaul was going through they’re Saturn return. A Saturn return is an astrological transition that occurs when the planet Saturn returns to the same ecliptic longitude that it occupied at the moment of a person's birth. Which is essentially just our mind and body starting over as if you are child and it allows you to see the world new. Also prayer doesn’t have to be religious, all it is is setting intention and sending it to the universe. It feels as if Rupaul was allowing themself to free them from their problems. They aren’t allowing the world to influence their thoughts as much as they should. I recommend listening to what they are saying and meditate and pray, or setting intentions.
Every season on Drag Race there is a makeover challenge. The contestants have to put a civilian in drag. Not one ot those people, no matter gender or LGBTQ+ or straight as the day is long, comes out of it without a deeper understanding of who they are. More in touch of all facets of their personalities and more comfortable in their own skin and secure within themselves. It's really beautiful to see.
I've seen every episode of Drag Race including franchises that weren't even thought of at the time this was recorded. Hearing the stories, getting to know these creative souls all these years has made me a better person. More open. A proud ally of my LGBTQ friends. I started watching because of the amazing creativity used to meet the challenges given. I thought I was a creative genius with a sewing machine until Drag Race came along! I've kept watching because of the lovely and talented entertainers we get to meet every season. All Stars seasons let us revisit our favorites and we love them! Their heart, their humor, their humanity or lack thereof and their awesome talents. Open minds, open hearts, open arms. Love is the answer.
