Hi everyone! Sorry for 100+ days without uploads. HellCastle has been keeping you all updated on his situation through videos and tweets, and I (tyler) had taken a break for my first term of University, so nothing got done. I'm back now, and will be working on some more content for you, but until then, please enjoy this 40 minute guide thats been 3 weeks in the making :)
Truly, thank you for this. I’m the type of person who just never plays games like skyblock because of how intimidating they look with all the features, skills, items, and other stuff.
Watching this at like level 16 makes me realize how much i learned on my own... and how much i would have NEVER figured out like the magic power or the portalhub or how useful buying sets would actually be instead of hardened diamond armor (which is my current main set)
@@RoctoBio 5 can actually rly help i havent done that qeust yet and because of the comment above i did and unlocked bz now my nw is 780b after flipping for a few minutes
Since mining cobblestone counts as mining ore, you can use it for ore milestones. That means that you can make a cobblestone generayor earlygame for 13mil coins from selling the milestone rock pets to george. You'll need an eff 5 gold pick, some teleport pads to be able to semi-afk the generator and haste iii pots to instamine cobble.
Heyy, it would be nice if you made a video on how to get back into the game after a year or so of not playing, sort of a recap of all the updates in a certain amount of time and anything important you really shouldn't miss. A good starting point would be back when superior armor was the best one in the game.
An even better upgrade to your redstone minion would be getting 2.500 cobblestone (for the cobblestone collection) to unlock the Compactor. (It was covered at the 30:00 minute mark of this video, but you can get them for free instead of buying them by grinding coins) The Compator, like the name suggests, will compact the redstone collected by minions into redstone BLOCKS. By the time you get 2500 cobblestone, which you will get within the first day on logging on the game, you will have also unlocked the Enchanted Redstone from the Redstone collection (to craft the compactor). Enchanted versions of blocks are esentially there to stop your minions from filling up their inventories within a day and just being able to collect for weeks or even longer, and to craft higher level stuff that you will have to worry about later. Just a quick tip so that you don't actually have to check on your minion every hour.
THANK YOU GUYS!! ive been thinking about skyblock a lot after i quit, 2 long years since i stoped playing, i always kept up with the new update, never playing always watching. Too scared to join once more, but seeing you guys upload has brought courage in me to try the skyblock once more, thank you.
It’s also worth noting that Giant Killer V is a worthwhile enchantment for the Mercenary Axe, as it does lots of extra damage to opponents with more HP than yourself, making Arachne much easier to fight. You might also consider getting Cleave V to maximize your damage in Arachne’s second phase. Another thing to note is that to make it easier on yourself to get enough coins to purchase the Mercenary set, while you are mining for gravel, you have a chance to obtain pet rocks, which aren’t that goos in general but you can go to the petkeeper and sell them for a pretty penny. The common ones go for 10,000 and the uncommon variants go for 50,000 coins. Another tip with the Grand Experience Bottles, is that if you unlock fishing, there’s a rare chance of obtaining them. So if for whatever reason you decide to pick up fishing, you can obtain a decent amount of Grand Experience Bottles for easy exp or money if you decide to sell them in the Bazaar. Once you unlock the End you can also mine glowing blocks called Ender Nodes, which have special particles surrounding them. Mining them will have a chance of rewarding you with rare rewards, including Grand Experience Bottles, and loads of other rare items you can sell in the Bazaar for inflated prices. Learning to Bazaar Flip and Event Flip is also a worthwhile investment for new players for quick cash, and there are loads of other tutorials explaining how to do exactly that. Overall great video and I would love to see a part two coming from you guys as an Intermediate Guide.
Even tho I'm concidered "mid/late" game I really love this video! I wish I'd seen this video before I started playing haha, will deffinetly send this to some friends that wanted to start, ty a lot for this great video!
Note that another valid armour set could be glacite armour. The price is very similar to mercenary armour on ah, it gives slightly better stats, but the full set bonus is worse. I personally think it’s the best though, since it’s an epic armour, meaning reforges are significantly better, meaning you deal more damage. Additionally, if you’re willing to grind a bit more, a raiders axe or aspect of the end are significantly better than a mercenary axe.
I remember watching the older guide of urs which is the first video I watched for skyblock last year october. Now I've come this far to finish the entire catacombs and now in end game with 14 billion networth. Real nostalgic to watch a beginners guide.
Well I was actually just working on a beginners guide on my channel, but I'm happy that someone's made a new guide and will help tons of people! time to work on a dungeons video now lol
this video helped me SO MUCH tysm bro also a tip for people who have the bazaar and grand exp bottle recipe: get a gold shovel with eff V and smelting touch, buy 6 - 12 - 18 stacks of enchanted lapis (you can buy less its just easier with multiples of 6 and craft that glass into bottles after that craft grand exp bottles you make like 50-100k profit every time you do it.
The best way to get the 210k coins for the mercenary/ starlight set is to grind sand in the desert settlement. Get a full inventory, which only takes like 5 minutes, sell it to the bazaar, and get 21k coins. It only took me an hour or so to get the 210k. Hope that helps!
i forgot that your were a skyblock channel at this point, your non sb content is absolutely god tier anyways i love all your videos perhaps you could make some alpha/beta minecraft history videos or something similar too? im a sucker for internet history 🥺🥺🥺
Ive always wanted to get into hypixel skyblock but its always seemed really complicated and confusing but this helped with it a ton and now i can actually start a playthrough
Good guide. I would focus a bit more on the deep caverns, as it provides a lot more options. If you get mining 12 (which really doesn't take long, if you're not try harding it should take you a few hours to get there from a new profile) you unlock the dwarven mines. There you can easily get the glacite armor by killing ice walkers with your pickaxe. They do a lot of damage but oftentimes they don't attack you and you one shot them. It's a good armor for starting the mining grind to get money or to kill endermen so you can get ender armor which you will need for slaying dragons. As a weapon for endermen I would recommend the raiders axe, as it is sold for 130k by an npc. You can also try and buy another weapon of a player but on iron man this is probably your best choice.
as someone who hosts my own server for friends. I decided to jump into hypixel, understanding the basics of how things work. Still though, I was insanely confused, so this was a fantastic tutorial!
Hey, thank you very much! I played Hypixel Skyblock about 2 years ago but always missed many things. That's why I lost interest at some point because I didn't progress very much. Now I restarted from the beginning and found your video which helps me a lot!
Another additional bonus is that while mining for flint, once you hit specific milestones for ores which gives you these pet rocks, and since flint counts as an ore, I managed to mine 7500 ores in the duration of this guide, and it rewards you with two pet rocks. You can sell these pet rocks at the pet shop, the common one going for 10,000 coins, and the uncommon one going for 50,000 coins, which is an easy way to avoid hours of grinding. It also allows you to have some left over funds to optimize reforging and buying enchants. The pets themselves are rather useless, and you can unlock higher rarity versions for more ore milestones, so selling them here is a good idea. Bazaar flipping can also get you a few thousand if you’re still struggling.
Can you make a followup guide to this? on what to do after? :) Ive gotten to mid game and theres tons of videos explaining early but now im so clueless on whta to do... Im happy for the 3 min segment after the video for example...
The game is a lot more open past this point! But if you talk to the NPC in the end and then follow their instructions, you'll be decently well set up. Theres then the crimson isles when youre a higher combat level, which has its own quests too.
Not too sure about the difference in damage, but the hunter knife can just barely be gotten with a base character with a the rogue sword ability. It speed boost is amazing early game, I always go for that first.

Really good guide 9.8/10 to all new players who doesn't know how to do stuff, i started a new account and imediately went for mining level just enough for dwarven mines then just do dailies, i got money from selling the 1st new year cake i got
2 months ago, I started this game the OG way, Getting the Lapis armor. I know it sucks now, but that's literally the only beginner armor I knew at the time. My second set was glacite armor, but I soon changed it to Ender Armor to survive in The End.
Bro, thx for the tutorial, no cap, i was about to leave cause there was so much to do but 0 explanation and they ur video popped on my feed, so glad it did, thx.
I have been playing skyblock for about a year, not often at all like around once a month. my cousin originally got me into it and I have a decent amount of stuff, this whole time I have had no idea there was a chest underneath the island until I saw this video.
When I did a new playthrough recently I just farmed the deep caverns for every minion, made a slime farm, add extra minions and farm wheat in the hub for quick money, I also tried getting full lapis armor and now I'm saving for 3/4 mercenary + slime hat
"Or buying a rank, basically granting basic human rights" got me rolling on the floor. Still, this was a great video, as it helped me learn that Hypixel Skyblock is much, much more than traditional skyblock.
in case anyone is wondering, here are the mining materials in stacks: Redstone: 6 stacks Coal,Iron,Gold,Emerald and Diamond 1 (.25) stack(s) Lapis: 3 (.905) stacks
Haven’t played skyblock in so freaking long. Seeing this video pop up in my recommended kinda wants to make me come back. Although I quit because the game got way too boring before.
been following this guide. by using the farms at the barn and at the main hub i was able to quickly get tens of thousands of coins to buy the armor and reforge it.
Mining mushroom blocks in the last farming island is also profitable. You just need a silk touch axe to mine it. At this time, each block I believe is about 150 coins.
Hi! I spend the whole day playing following this guide sadly right now i got tired and leaved at 31:00 (aka enchanting) Im not sure if i was having fun or not, since all i technically did was farm, sell, buy. Not even combat was interesting since when i could fight either the enemies one hit me or i one hit them. Anyway, i watched the rest of the video without completing and seems like im close to the end of the guide, the last clips of "what's coming next in your journey?" make me want to keep going, because that was what i expected from the start (The gamemode not your video) This video is great, easy to understand, simple and not giving too much information either which sometimes can be very frustrating I would add something i discover: You can craft Compactor which is more easy than farming money to buy them and you can get a free compactor if you complete a quest in the Lapis Mines
This is a great tutorial and got me started on this game, I made a stupid mistake and my account was hacked, but I’ll use it again once i get another account

been following this guide. by using the farms at the barn and at the main hub i was able to quickly get tens of thousands of coins to buy the armor and reforge it.
Yoo bro this was very very helpful please upload the next guide for midgame players
Mining mushroom blocks in the last farming island is also profitable. You just need a silk touch axe to mine it. At this time, each block I believe is about 150 coins.
Noted
Yeah you can make 2m an hour
Thank you for this guide, it really helped me begin, i think buying glacite armor from the AH is a better idea than buying the mercenary armor though
Good to see your stuff again!
the wait doesnt matter all that matters is that ur doing well!
Hi!
I spend the whole day playing following this guide
sadly right now i got tired and leaved at 31:00 (aka enchanting)
Im not sure if i was having fun or not, since all i technically did was farm, sell, buy. Not even combat was interesting since when i could fight either the enemies one hit me or i one hit them. Anyway, i watched the rest of the video without completing and seems like im close to the end of the guide, the last clips of "what's coming next in your journey?" make me want to keep going, because that was what i expected from the start (The gamemode not your video)
This video is great, easy to understand, simple and not giving too much information either which sometimes can be very frustrating
I would add something i discover: You can craft Compactor which is more easy than farming money to buy them and you can get a free compactor if you complete a quest in the Lapis Mines
I played today for 3 hours and finished this guide
Arachne is hard even with the armor maxed out
This is a great tutorial and got me started on this game, I made a stupid mistake and my account was hacked, but I’ll use it again once i get another account
Love your content man! Appreciate the grind!
Gah dayum, this is one hell of a video! Thank you, Hellcastle.
Through your use of the wikithis command, I learned that you can dungeonize the rogue sword! Truly the most powerful weapon, second only to the AotJ
I saw this on my recommendations and it caught my attention, but on 16:34 how did he know i was watching this 6 months later what
