Hey dude, first of all - the FM3 is an incredible piece of gear. It's the newer/modern version of the AX8. It has slightly more power than the AX8 and half the power of the flagship Axe-Fx III. It's half the price of the Axe-Fx III. The sound/algorithms are the same (check my videos about that). Try all those modelers by yourself. I play full time but mostly local gigs. I'm on the waiting list and not sure if I should pull the trigger or look elsewhere for my "backup" system. Anyway, I thought the video was top notch.
I have been playing my AX8 live for many years and I love it. I was sceptical at first, but after a week I can tell you that the FM3 sounds better and the "just 3 buttons thing" works great. If you get the chance try the FM3 - and of course use your own sounds! Cheers bro :)
Great demo! I just subscribed to your channel and can't wait to see your next FM3 video! I have a question for you. When you are practicing, do you send the FM3 output to those studio monitors behind you or do you use something else for the FM3 output? I am on the FM3 wait list. When it arrives, I will need something other than a guitar amp to hear it at home. FRFR speakers like the Atomic CLR and the Mission Engineering Gemini 2 are attractive options but expensive. I am wondering if a pair of powered studio monitors would give me everything that I would need for less money. Again, I only need something for at home because I would use in-ear monitors and run the FM3 into the PA system at my church when performing. Any advice that you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Awesome demo man, thanks for putting this out! I'm really considering getting an fm3 over the axe fx 3 due to the cost, do you by chance know if axe fx 2, axe fx 3 or ax8 presets will work on the fm3?
All patches will on the FM3. Depends on how much CPU power the patch requires. I use the Axe-Fx3 in my studio and the AX8 (FM3) for live. You can drag and drop presets between FM3 and Axe-Fx3.
The FM3 is a high-end multieffect unit and amp modeler. In my understanding the TC is more for solo entertainers who sing, play a little guitar and work a lot with looper. It is definitely a fantastic toy, but not a professional guitar processor.

Nice playing by the way , you have a great touch for the guitar
@@Surfandmusicequipmentreviews That sounds great to me - Inspiring unit and sounds. Awesome.
One of best players in the world. Great attention to nuance.
Thanks a lot Brian. Much appreciated :)
Frank, what is the Knaggs model you are playing? Greta playing!
Hi Jeffrey, I played 4 different Knaggs guitars:
#1 0:14 Severn HSS T2 with trem
#2 01:23 T/S (Eric Steckel) T1
#3 06:06 Severn SSS hardtail T2
#4 14:02 Knaggs Kenai T2
Didn't know that Jordan Rudes is such great guitarist as well
Awesome. He is for sure 😅🤘🔥
Thanks for the video. I'm deciding on if I want to purchase an FM3 as a replacement or backup for my AX8. I'm not sure if it would workout well with the way it is set up.
Thank you very much for the demo, just about to buy this device.
Awesome. Have fun with it :)
Holy shit...this guy rips!!!! I need lessons from this guy!!!
Thanks. I'm here ;)
Danke Frank, das war sehr schön, der Sound ist super, die Presets super presentiert ... 🎸🎸🎸
Dankeschön. Freut mich :)
a great piece of gear ....superb tones ...and playing.
Grazie mille Giancarlo. Really appreciate it 🙏
Thanks Kevin. I'm using my studio monitors. Signal path is: FM3 - Apollo audio interface - studio monitors. For me it's fine. Cheers :)
Thank you, Frank. I appreciate your help. Would you mind sharing the model numbers of the Apollo and studio monitors that you are using?
Kevin Rasch Monitors is Yamaha HS8
@@kevinrasch7815 I use a UAD Apollo x8 interface. But you can use your FM3 as audio interface as well. Cheers :)

Awesome preview of the presets... Can't wait till my FM3 gets here! :)
Thanks 🙏. Really appreciate. The FM3 is killer!!!
Danke Stefan einfach super Ich hab eine bestellt
Awesome demo man, thanks for putting this out! I'm really considering getting an fm3 over the axe fx 3 due to the cost, do you by chance know if axe fx 2, axe fx 3 or ax8 presets will work on the fm3?
All patches will on the FM3. Depends on how much CPU power the patch requires. I use the Axe-Fx3 in my studio and the AX8 (FM3) for live. You can drag and drop presets between FM3 and Axe-Fx3.
Such a cool and clear video.... Man u need new pants !!! 🍻😆
Thanks man. New pants on it's way ;)
😂
Awesome, Frank!!! 👍🏻 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻🎸🎶🎶🎶
Thanks bro )
This is one of the best demo Sir..
thanks!!!!
Thanks a lot. Really appreciate :)
Frank you sound amazing. The FM3 might have been named after you.
It is named after me :)
great sounds . could you do the same with VL3 and TC helicons' Extreme box ? How different ?
The FM3 is a high-end multieffect unit and amp modeler.
In my understanding the TC is more for solo entertainers who sing, play a little guitar and work a lot with looper. It is definitely a fantastic toy, but not a professional guitar processor.
Awesome Demo Frank 👍🤘
Thanks 🙏Really appreciate :)
