That head-sculpt is awesome, gives him some,no pun intended, character. A shield woulda been a huge bonus. He is going up on gunslingers horse!
I slapped a wired, cloth cape on this figure and damn it's my favorite McFarlane figure in a WHILE. It's so fun

For the QOTD, I would like Mcfarlane to make the armored batman in Batman Beyond (the one Bruce Wayne wore to fight Inque).
I was surprised on how well Mcfarlane implemented the articulation on the figure but I agree that the headsculpt is the glaring issue
I really want a Telltale series Batman figure. I love the suit design.

I definitely prefer wind-swept / dynamic capes because they can look decent in both static and dynamic poses. Even in a neutral standing pose, its conceivable that the wind is blowing the cape, but a neutral cape looks awkward in literally any pose other than standing straight up. However, it definitely depends on the strength of the cape sculpt - a badly sculpted 'dynamic' cape can ruin every pose, whereas its hard to mess up a cape laying flat.
I want a Gotham By Gaslight Batman ,because its one of my all time favorite alternate versions of Batman also a proper Vampire Bats from the old Elseworlds story would be nice .
I would like if they made it to where you can remove the cape ❤️
Oh man Anthony 😂 I really appreciate you braving through some of the McFarlane figures. There are some very good figures released this year that you'll eventually get around to. The new Keaton and Jay Garrick are objectively some of their best work.
jay garrick may be my favourite figure from them, its genuinely really great and a lot of fun. hoping the new knightfall batman and flashpoint flash are just as good if not better
Certainly a strong release from McFarlane Toys. I like it quite a bit. The Gladiator look, as barbarically primitive and pugilistic as it may be, fits Batman surprisingly well! The Dark Knight looks even more badass with this armour!
Anthony’s question of the day #1.) As far as obscure Batman suits are concerned, I’m afraid I must go with his Detective Comics no. 27 1st appearance suit. You know, the one with the latex purple gloves. Yes, that one.
Anthony’s question of the day #2.) In this old doctor’s opinion, neutral capes always look better than windswept.

For the cape question it honestly depends how windswept it is, but i guess id rather take a slightly windswept cape than a completely solid flat one, because you can still do standing and action poses with a flowing cape, as long as it doesnt look like its caught in a windstorm
Question of the day: I think I’m a little tapped out on Batman suits and obscure versions. Until they release one I really want, lol. Wish they’d give more obscure characters or DC titles some figures.
Question 2: I’m torn on the capes, with as little accessories they give us I would also love for swappable capes between neutral or action-y posed.
Since fabric capes aren’t an option in this case, I’d pick the action cape over neutral. This figure specifically I’d want to pose him in a battle, not just standing there menacingly.
Damn! Been on the fence about l this figure. I wanted one just to pair him up with the Medieval Spawn. Now I probably will pick him up, I’m not too big a fan of the head or the hanging parts of his helmet.
I perfer dynamic sculpted cape. They are both limiting, but even with a dynamic cape it could look like wind is blowing if the figure is just standing there. Wheras a neutral cape you just can't do anything with besides a museum pose.
we need other versions like a pirate, an adventurer/ jungle hunter, viking, or suits to fight a certain villain/s, each member of the Batman Inc. and the Jim Gordon batman suit!

Woah thigh swivel and better ab crunch than most figures. I seriously hope they keep continuing on this path and improve the ankles too.
I would like to have a Rock of Ages future Batman. All black suit with a big golden bat symbol (resembling the yellow oval bat symbol's bat design). Or a proper Telltale Batman figure

The stands are great. They help the figures stand so they do there job.

This is a longshot but I would like to see Todd taclke some of the lego batman 2008 video-game suit like the heat resistance or the sonar suits
I've wanted them to make a Arkham knight batman beyond since when they first got the license!
The Cape could be better! But it will make a do. I like the sculpture and design for this version of Batman! It better than some of the previous Batmans😮

Not really obscure but id love a Gotham by gaslight wave..Batman, Gordon, Selina and the 4th figure could be either Alfred or out of costume Bruce Wayne and then maybe a 2nd wave for the villains

i like stylize dynamic cape its awesome.
I kinda like neutral capes but these are good to especially if your putting your figure in a action pose cause sometimes they won't stay posed and the cape helps it worked for me lots cool figure

It's not exactly obscure, but I'd like McFarlane to do the Jim Gordon Batman suits, and I don't even like that story. The big Bat-bunny robot and the minimalist Batman suit itself. The Bat-bunny is goofy but I've grown kinda fond of it. The Batman suit itself doesn't fit Jim at all, but to me it's always seemed like the perfect Dick Grayson Batman suit with the lack of cape and sleek aesthetic, so I'd use it for that.
I wish(and I'm sure this'll happen soon), would love Kilmer's Batman from McFarlane Toys, just love Kilmer's suit
In the 90s there was a Samurai Batman from I think Kenner that I remember liking as a kid. I think McFarlane could do something interesting with that

What I find funny about this is in the comic those armors are supposed to strip the Justice League of their powers. What exactly is it strippings Batman of is it making him stupid. I don't know I can understand what it's doing to Superman and Wonder woman. But Batman's basically a person with money... He's DC's iron Man

Mcfarlane and hasbro should do a collaboration with a brand of model paint like games workshop,vallejo or tamiya to hide the fact they dont want to spend money on paint
I think the mcfarlane designed batman was an assurance/ warning that if they ever ran out of batman suits they'd just design new ones.

2:15 Couldn't agree more. I detest "action" capes. Limited...limited and again, well you get the point. I have passed on figures just for that reason. Not this one. I thought there was enough good to overlook that faux pa. I plan to remove it but can't wrap my brain around it just yet. Any ideas? Would love the input of a great customizer. Cheers. Congac.
i would just look through mcf's other releases and find a cape you like. itll be in scale and should be cheap enough to get for just the cape.

i love this fig! little flaws but great overall.
I prefer the directional cape as I'm more likely to have an action pose on the shelf than vanilla. But yeah plastic capes are almost all junk.

Im not a fan of the really dynamic capes ,biggest offenders that come to mind is the Page puncher Superman and Eradicator . Im fine with a touch of dynamic action but id take a more neutral cape the majority of the time.
Not obscure, but I’d love to see McFarlane make a 1950s era Batman with the cheesy grin.
Might be a good figure overall but a really meh design IMO. So a 7/10 in my book. I would rather go to Blue Hush or Earth 2 Batman.

Most of these Batman Multiverse variants were in the comics within the last decade 😂. Imagine if McFarlane went deep into the characters history.

I like they vary on the capes not always being neutral but sometimes they're a bit overdone in the posing
The batman I want to see is another character... maby like og wonderwoman, an actual good superman, sinestro, og Harley quin not that cartoony crap, arkham asrael, a good nightwing that doesn't have a wonky body same with Robin and Batgirl and joker know what just make these figures better.
