If its Batman and it looks cool, McFarlane is bound to make a figure out of it. However, with many commitments ahead of them, some projects are likely shelved for some time, and there's enough clues to hint at that being the case with the antiquated Dark Knights of Steel Batman.

Great review. This Batman figure reminds me of the McFarlane designed Wonder Woman figure with all the unique features.
I got this figure from the preorder but then they goofed n sent me a free one a month after the preorder as well so I bought one n got one free just a month apart... I absolutely love this figure... I mainly got him to stand next to my Medievil SPAWN but next to each other they don't really look together... So I just kept my Gladiator Batman with Medievil SPAWN
shelved? the source material was released over a year ago.
I actually liked this Batman release. My personal nitpick would be the chainmail wasn't in black and the usual flimsy weapon/sword. Thanks for pointing out the other things McFarlane could have made better.
McFarlane is also good with the sculpt, but articulation is their weakness.
I don't know, I actually think they have a good articulation. Some times great, sometimes mediocre
I prefer the gladiator BM. If this were a true medieval knight BM, he'd have a Bat Shield to go with it. The Golden BM or Azrael looks more like a knight.
The only thing I don't like about this figure is the sword is too flimsy. Looking forward to painting it when I find the time.
I did switch the feet around as I felt they were the wrong way round
sculpt is nice, for 20$ not bad at all, will throw some paint and wash on mine.

I LOVED this run and was so happy to hear that we are getting a 2nd chapter and also a book end story that is the start of the return of Elseworlds!!!
was Dark Knights of Steel an Elseworlds story ? I love them SO MUCH !
I was really excited to hear we were getting this figure but so BUMMED when i realized it's not even the suit he wears in the entire story but it's a variant cover that made the most out of the variants available . I do like the artist Kael Ngu though so at least if you dig that variant than you get a treat . I also think that I might just be dissapointed because I really hoped for the suit featured in the run and not a variant of it . something like Dan Mora's cover on #5 . It's my absolute FAV cover in the entire series . I'd in full honesty like an entire wave w/ baf figure and maybe even a big (wink) Dragon ...Beast . you could do a few waves if they wanted to because its actually like Dc Game of Thrones .
They could even reuse the head sculpt of Superboy Prime and buck of Inigio Montoya for Prince Kent and endless winter and Last Knight on Earth Wonder woman for W.W. and maybe even the head sculpt of Dark detective and chest for Batman as well as some stuff on the Kael Ngu figure we got.
It would be a great wave and obvious welcome to the 2nd chapter

Simple color ，I have no desire for this figure right now,it makes me disappointed.
