This is the first ever speedrun of 100% being done under 11 hours! Pretty solid run overall! Lost a few minutes here and there to execution, then had pretty good card bags. Unfortunately I lost a lot to looking for Whacka haha. My goal is to push for sub 10:30 on english, and then maybe try some runs on Japanese for the extra few minutes!

1:11:25 when you said that, I remembered that I was playing SPM casually and noticed that I had *69430* points. Just 10 points off.
Ya'know, whenever I watch a speedrunner buy the same item over and over again, I think to myself "this would be so much faster if the NPC also asked 'how many do you want?'"

I had no idea the game just gives you a level's pixl if you somehow beat it without them lol. After all my years of playing this game I'm still finding new things.

Very nice. One of my three top favorite Paper Mario games. I like each of the first 3 for different reasons. The story for Super Paper Mario is just UNMATCHED, if you ask me. I legit had onions nearby the first time I learned the story.
TTYD was awesome for amount of game content, and the dialogue was entertaining.
The first one was just awesome for tying in the seven stars and being the first Paper Mario entry. The glitches add an additional layer of charm 😂
Yeah super paper mario is so good!
If anything, Super Paper Mario has the best story out of any Mario RPG in general. Count Bleck is the most well-written Mario RPG villain of them all. The only other Mario RPG villains that even come close to his level are probably the Shroobs from Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time and Cursa from Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, but even they don't have anything interesting to analyze compared to Count Bleck.

It's really funny to see the strats of the video about spm speedrun history on an actual speedrun, even being a 100% and not an any%. Congrats btw, for the video and for the sub 11.
I haven't 100% the game yet
I remember after I beat the game I went and did both pit of 100 trials with an inventory full of emergency rations just to beat the flip side while using like 3 and it took me like 2 hours. Then for the flop side I restocked them and got bombshelled with the shadoo guy telling me to do it again, so for round two I beat practically the whole thing with bowser and boomer and my mind went numb and when I got the key half the time I’d kill everything in the room before moving on. I got to the shadoo fight with basically all my emergency rations. Anyway I say this bc it’s funny watching you speed run 300 rooms and let alone 100 percent the game in 11 hours while it took me that long to do the pits😭
Edit: I also remember hating having to fight the shadow wizard guys idk their names but the guys from blecks castle that pop up and shoot magic on you (NOT magikoopas) because they did so much damage but then I got a catch card and got double damage and my life was SO much better
It's a really fun game ngl. I enjoy this game i never 100% it, but i like to play in the aftermath. In fact, not too long ago, i completed the flopside pit of 100 trials. I have alsp completed the duel of 100 as well. Congrats on beating the game 100% bro.
Working my way through this. Really great for listening while working from home! 😁 I never had the patience to beat this game, so it's nice to see what I missed.

I was thinking... the community tryed to clip through the locked doors padlocks in 3D? 'cause if that is possible and that still lets you enter the door it would make the speedruns a lot faster. Or maybe not a lot but still faster.
The doors can’t be opened until you unlock them, no matter what.

Not that it can be helped but "sub 11 hours" feels like kinda a joke. Like how far does it go? "Sub 24"? "Sub 160"?

I really like the way you periodically explain what you're doing during the run, helps me follow along.
By the way, can Fleep Ledge Cancels be used to optimize Pit of 100 Trials doors if they happen to be in unfavorable locations?
Unfortunately no because you need to be on a ledge in 3D which would only be the pipes, and unfortunately they aren't on the same level as the doors
now you only need the flipside wr for the category sweep

How come japanese wasn't used in this? Just too much dialogue to optimally play a 100% without like actually knowing the language?
Its just risky with the crashes, i probably will do my next runs on japanese, or at least some at some point later
