Hi Andrew. Yes, the transportation mode locks the bowl in place to protect the bowl, blade and lid (and arms) from moving around and being damaged in transit. It doesn't have anything to do with the scales or internal workings of the Thermomix so it is ok to move around on the bench without it on. I am so pleased you are enjoying the videos :)
@@TmxingAdventures is that a better way than UA-cam? I was looking for ginger paste but without the salt.. thought you might have a clip! I'm new to my tm6.. well 2 years but rarely use it.. and Need to start justifying the purchase.
Hi Jacq. I tend to use mine within a few weeks but make sure it has a layer of oil ontop, however I suggest that if you are worried, then do freeze it in icecream cube trays then take out what you need as you need it :)

The maximum time for fermenting or slow cooking is 8hrs. You would need to reset it after each 8hrs.

Hiya Lisa. It says in recipe that it only lasts one week in fridge. I know I won't use it up in that time. Have you frozen yours?
You can freeze it, or make sure it has a layer of oil covering it if you are leaving it in the fridge
If you turn your lid over the other way the food slides in easier.
Depends on what jar and how dirty the lid. I use it both ways 😀
