Sean is my best friend, I’m so glad you guys decided to do this video! I know he really enjoyed working with you guys and this video was very well made and informative!
Sean is an amazing human being and a consummate professional. So fortunate to have gotten to know him. We loved spending time with him and learning from him.
This is an amazing video. As a person who loves wine AND food this is fantastic. And my favorite part of this video was that it was clear that the two, three, of you were so genuinely enjoying the experience.
I came across Plucky wines online during the pandemic when everything was shut down and they said because of the shutdown it gave them a whole new perspective on what they could achieve with retail and online sales. It's great to see you guys found this place, and I after this great video reminder I hope to visit their restaurant as well! Thanks for the content.! Respect!
As a avid wine collector from Norway, with a 2 Yo daughter I realy appreciate your content. I hope I can share the same moments with my daughter as you guys do. Specially looking foreard to share the birthyear (2022) Richebourg, Angelus, Haut Bailly, Palmer and Latour woth her!
The inn looks great and I really like their French wine list from the online retail arm of it, too. I'm right in Boston so I'll have to give them some business soon enough. Very deep Loire Valley selection and the prices are right in line with the market, and even on the lower side in most cases. Loved the video and thanks for featuring them!
Really enjoying the content, even if the wines are often out of my reach. Also visiting that part of NJ in a few weeks for work and had no idea this place was there. Super excited to visit!!!
This place looks amazing! Thanks for sharing. One restaurant you should try is Troquet On South in Boston, amazing list and their prices are very reasonable.
Holy moly! I just went through their 55 pages of wine (formatted in "Restaurant Style Wine List" from CellarTracker - lol) and they have some amazing wines! This would be a great restaurant to try some back vintages. 1974 BV George de Latour for $450? That's gotta be worth a try. Fantastic recommendation - thank you. - Pops
One of your best videos! That was really fun and interesting to learn about the restaurant and seeing it's collection. The dinner with wine at the end was great and you should have more episodes like this. Man, Stacey is going to be mad and/or jealous that she wasn't invited. B is correct that oysters are dead once they're shucked but it's so fresh that it's really splitting hairs. And B talking with a mouth full of fries got me to lol. I played it back three times and still have no idea what she was trying to say. I guess that's what you get at the end of the night with multiple glasses of wine. We need more restaurants like this where the wines are not marked up to ridiculous prices. I love wine as much as Pops but won't order bottles if they go for 3-4 time retail. I hate restaurants that gouge on wine and either bring my own bottle, order something else, or just patron other restaurants that don't do that.
I love the fact that you appreciate the humor in B's editing. Stacey was so bummed she couldn't come along but I hope we'll have more opportunities to visit restaurants with a camera. I agree with you about restaurants that mark up wine to ridiculous prices. Takes the joy out of the dining experience.
So cool!! What treat. I have that Lopez in my cellar 🤩 along with their gran reserva blanco. I’m thinking I should look for that Selosse…..I’ll need to make a trip, I’m only 6 hours away. Great place and video.
Hi, you guys are seriously underrated! As a newbie, I’ve gotta ask-what do you do with the leftover wine? If you open 4-5 bottles and don’t get totally hammered, does the rest just go down the drain?
@@ברטופליאן Welcome to the channel! We definitely don’t let the wine go to waste- we typically invite friends over/enjoy with family after filming. In this case we shared the bottle with Sean, Jay, and some other staff at the Pluckemin Inn.
You might have to stick to screw tops with your luck when it comes to bad corks! On a different note, it is good to see there are a few places that have more reasonable markups on wine. The wine industry is worried about the long-term trend of lower consumption, and restaurants charging 200%-300% markups are not helping to reverse that trend.
Wine and restaurants may overlap but are two different industries and they have different interests. I'll support both if their interests align with mine but I refuse to visit or buy wines from restaurants that charge ridiculous markups on them.
@@kevinkelley8496 yes mu comment was not about the “grand award” but their other awards. Literally every fine dining restaurant in any larger city will have one
Its a pitty you didnt get to enjoy tondonia, its a very particular wine, not my favoutite but still very special. Let me recomend some if you dont mind: barón de chirel 2014, castillo ygay 2012, obviously vs único 2011 is already good, contino viña el olivo, and finnaly alabaster 2020, although young, you can start to enjoy it.
So nice, really loved watching this episode. And when I am in the area, will definitely put this on my list !! Incredible big wine inventory, but I would get crazy finding bottles there 😂. And loved your choices: great Riesling, great champagne, great Cheval ❤ !!
So you do read the comments and draw conclusions - now I don't even need to know what you do in life to afford such a cellar, I completely understand why you can. Keep up the good work and salute from a fellow WSET guy!
I had Vina Tondonia 2011 recently. Very very tannic still. And Pop might still work on his German pronunciation...Gewächs does not sound like "wax" in the end😃But a very interesting video. Production on the road has its challenges so kudos to you!
Your channel is criminally under rated
Love hearing that!

We all loved it!
This was such a fun video. Please bring us on more field trips!!
Praise from the legend! Thank you so much, Jeb Brooks!
This was super interesting, thanks for highlighting these great American businesses.
There are some really great wine restaurants around and this is one of them. Fair pricing makes it more fun to explore high-end wines.
I’m a foodie and a wine lover so this is easily the best video you two have made but I have loved all the cellar tours. Keep them coming!!!
Love it! Thank you.
Selosse is simply the best.. 🤩
Another fun video!!! Loved it♥️
Lopez Heredia is a legend! Even their entry level (crianza) Vina Cubillo is an absolut treat. Thanks for the video.
What a great video, enjoyed it all throughout!!! Keep these coming
Thank you!
What a great video and idea. You all put out such well thought out content.
Happy holidays 🍷
Amazing episode 😍
Loved the food; the atmosphere; the professionalism of the staff and the astronomical selection of wine. Thank you guys, cheers 🍷🎉

Love this channel so much
Great video you guys! I live in the NY area so will add Pluckemin Inn to my list!!
Well worth a visit.

Try to get a table on a Friday when they run half price on all wines under $100 and $50 off all wines over $100. Lots of good options.
Fun! Thanks for sharing this
Amazing content! Would love to see more wine cellar tours!
Cheers from Luxembourg
Cheers! Would love to visit Luxembourg sometime.

What a great video. I enjoyed the content and I think me and “Dad” would get along well. Cheers from one oenophile to another… 🍷

Welcome to the world of Selosse :)
One my favorite restaurant
This was a good time!
Indeed!
There is a norwegian guy called Rune Rake that has the term "the Selosse feeling", I think you got that feeling.
I just looked him up. Now I need to get an Instagram account and follow him.
@ it’s worth the hassle.

Wine spectator hands out those lower awards like candy
They have received a Grand Award for many, many years.
Since 2011 I believe.

Ok. So which is better that cheval blanc or the 90 haut brion.

Can you imagine working there and trying to find a certain bottle 😂
Yeah....NO!
Fantastic ! But what exactly is "White Soy Sauce" ???
Beats me but I googled it and there are a bunch of them!
this place is 34 minutes from me and never knew about it!
That's so cool! Give it a try on a Fridays (hint: you'll need a reservation because of the wine specials they run)
What state do u live in?
WOTN?
