2013
Wenger took over the managerial role from George Graham in 1996. And until the class of the 2003 invincibles had been nothing but spectacular. In his first 7 years, he had won 3 doubles and FA cups.
The signings that Wenger had made in those 7 years were virtually the cream of the crop in the transfer market. An epitome would be the signing of Lens Lehmen (from Borussia Dortmund as seen in his debut for the Arsenal in this game) to take over from David Seaman.
The subsequent years (after Wenger's first 7year tenure coincided with the departure of David Dein their Ex-Chairman) were considered a failing compared to the prior. Despite the lack of resources (during the next 14 seasons) to invest in the transfer market, Wenger still managed to ensure Champions League qualications. With exception of his last year in-charge, Wenger had been spectacularly successful.
The failing years (in terms of league titles and European trophies) after Highbury was particularly the fault of their American owner, Kroenka. He fundamentally sacrificed success by restricting the funds for Wenger in transfer market. Under such extenuating circumstances, he (Wenger) had to virtually rely on investing and nurturing youth talents. It is during this period that great players like Fabregas, Walcott, Wilshere, Ramsey, Ox Chamberlain were developed through the Arsenal youth academy.
The claim that teams like Blackburn (1995) and Leicester (2015) had managed to achieve success with an inferior squad is merely a one time feat. The metaphor of being strike by lightning type of scenario.
It is to a very large extent, an injustication to judge on his (Wenger 's) later failings to deliver further Domestic and European accolades. From every spectrum of success as a manager, Arsene Wenger is certainly comparable to Sir Alex Fergurson.
Appreciate the thoughts m8, but we know. But many were hard felt towards Wenger because in the end, his ideas and leadership ran very stale, and he was at odds with the moving Transfer market , he had to go
Good summary of Wenger’s time at Arsenal

I love soccer it's an amazing game some games close some games low scoring and the first or next goal means so much what a beautiful game
If you had any respect for the sport you wouldn't call it "soccer"

Arsenal Pro Lifuckpool Con.
4-4-2 era.. I miss those days. It was more fast paced and entertaining back then.
Arsenal was more a 4-4-1-1. And United was sometimes a 4-3-3 or- 4-5-1
Yeah I love our current team but when Barca started to dominate everyone played possession football and it’s become so boring. I love fast counter attacks and aggressive long ball football it’s so much more entertaining.
