- Lilly had a non-fatal drowning incident as a 2 year old, where her uncle had to pull her out of a pool and resuscitate. Ever since then she was afraid of water. As an adult she decided to confront this and began swimming every day, then joining a scuba course, and then a freediving course. She trained hard and quickly progressed in freediving to the point where she can now dive under ice without a wetsuit.

Very cold! It's a short intense cold as opposed to the long slow clod we get when we dive in our wetsuits 🙂
@androopr how long can u stay in cold water in a wet suite?
The fact that she’ll drown from forgetting where the hole is as everything upon top looks the same as everywhere else instead of the cold water doesnt cross anybodys mind surprises me
At 41secs she had lost her breath and breathed in the water.
already being at least 35secs underwater. Panicked and rapid muscle movement deprived her of oxygen. She was passed out by 1min into this video.

🧊 you are not wrong! Icy lakes certainly have their risks but with training and planning they can be enjoyed 🥶
It’s a danger .making a reckless video with a titanic and romantic back ground music doesn’t make it any less .this social media brought up this type of sickness seeking likes and comments
Stay cooped up in your home be terrified on others’ behalf.

Yeah, I have done this almost killed me, one single thing that goes wrong...is enough.
I've seen a few people do that But they always have a rope tied around their waist and a friend who will pull them out if something goes Wrong
exactly it is very dangerous without a rope, because under the ice there where many cases of divers the lost orientation and did not find the hole anymore and died.

Wouldn't the cold sieze up your muscles really quickly to where you wouldnt be able to swim? 🤔 I'd think that's what would happen, like when your hand gets cold for long enough you can't move your fingers nearly as well.
Yes, for sure! Limbs start to feel very restricted and “heavy” after about 5 mins in the water, so we only have a short window with no wetsuit to do this with unimpeded mobility

Regardless of fears just because you can shouldn’t mean you should. Lady your playing a devils game. No doubt your fearless but one false move one misdirection & it’s game over stay safe

How to commit third degree freezing
most dangerous is underwater stream it can swipe you away from exit in seconds and focused mind will not help 😪 cold is not the biggest issue, but you should always check the place first, if there is a stream
Actually underwater currents are the least dangerous where we dive because they are non-existent. We would never dive with currents under ice
Its all good till you forget the way out
I would love to do this ice baths and cold showers aren’t enough for me

Yes there are, which is why is important to have a safety team who are also trained cold water freedivers
