While the claim of 51% of the voting public being independent and therefore the majority of the population is inaccurate, it is true that they do make up the largest voting block in the United States. The inaccuracy is that independent voters make up only 43% of the population, a record high. Democrats and Republicans each have 27% of the population. Republicans hold the edge in total political leanings at 45% of the overall population (Democrats having 43% of the population). This information has likely changed a bit in recent weeks as all info based on Gallup survey article from January 2024.
Something I think is worth considering in respect to this corporate capture idea is how much politics and governing become the ways rich people play out their old money vs new money game and how that influences the dividing lines and it's probably why you see a lot of connections of some of the tech firms and more newer businesses backing Dems (at least the Neolibs), where the old money in fossil fuels, media, defense, etc are typically backing Republicans.

Remote schooling aside (which would work well as a hybrid model): "Shut[ting] down society", "bring[ing] in Central Bank digital currencies", and abolishing cash all sound like somewhat bad choices, but don't really sound particularly dystopian. Abolishing cash could even be a good measure, if complimented with the creation of local physical currencies to ensure a circular economy within a town or state. Yeah, esoterica has always been rich with these types.
They want to pretend that racism, idiocy and bigotry are secret knowledge somehow.
Paganism? Maybe in the U.S they're generally more chilled as I've seen time and again, but where I'm from? It's weird. Most Pagans I know are pro LGBTQ+, but they are racist as shit. As in maximum Hitler particles levels of racist. They also tend to be antivaxx, anti-therapy and are into a whole bunch of "naturalistic" medications because modern medicine is apparently designed to drain your spirit or some shit like that. Hell, I know a guy that believes modern psychology is a tool used to wear down the divine white race... Fucking insanity.
Imagine being the guy who has an RFK themed bus after Kennedy suspended his campaign & endorsed Trump XD
Looks like "corporate capture" captured RFK Jr.

a lot of people would jumps super difficult hoops just so they won't vote for a black woman.
There's quite a lot of yard signs for RFK Jr. in my city unfortunately. As I understand it most people here got pulled in from his environmental policies.
If they weren't RFK signs, they'd be Trump signs. This is a good thing for us.
And he endorses a guy who wants to abolish environmental regs.
yet RFK himself wants to repeal Biden's environmental initiatives, is opposed to clean nuclear power, has stated that he would pursue the cheapest form of generating energy, and was condemned by the environmental advocacy group that he used to work for.
RFK Jr is probably the most honest candidate I've seen. I appreciate how he doesn't hide from the past. Instead, offers logical explanation. Also, he focuses on issues most people care about like: inflation, first time home buyers, chronic disease, cost of living, national debt crisis, addiction crisis, border, and many more. These issues connect with ppl and their loved ones.

"Look at the south side of chicago"
Does my man think the north and south sides have different governments? What the hell is he talking about.
The south side of Chicago is notriously the most violent. And it also has a much more disproprotionate level of people of color, as per the other cities he mentioned. Notice he didn't mention a place like Boston, even though that's also a democrat run city.
They ran out of tin at that rally.
I really hate the overuse and incorrect use of the term, but all these RFK supporters really make me think of the Dunning-Kruger effect.
Fun fact: that Kyle Kemper guy is Justin Trudeau’s half brother
RFK Jr. doing those pushups gives me strong Greg Stillson vibes from Stephen King's "The Dead Zone".
...Are...are reporters wearing ski masks now? ...What's with the ski-mask? 😆
Man, so many perfect examples of "we can't just agree on the problem, we have to agree on the solution" here. Because no, vaccines are not a scam, they do actually help people. What is a scam is how the government funds all the research for these vaccines and then allows big pharma corporations to make mountains of profit off of them. Corporations should not be allowed to profit from health crises but the solution to that is not to just ignore health crises
I was a self described libertarian long ago because I was under the misconception that the democrats were the left and the republicans were the right with libertarians sandwiched in-between. I had no beliefs beyond that. It wasn't until I grew up a little that I learned better, but there are a lot of young guys who have no idea what they believe.

America needs more mental health support. This is absurd to the point of sad, sad parody.
My younger brother was going to vote for RFK jr mainly because of Biden's stance on the genocide in Gaza. He has changed his mind now that Harris is at the top of the ticket. FYI, he wrote in Bernie in 2016 and 2020.

I’ll be honest I’m pretty sure most of these people aren’t allowed near schools…

Vaush the dystopian science fiction you describe at 2:40 has been written by Robert Silverberg and its called "The World Inside".
"They were trying to make remote schooling permanent!"
Imagine that, your kid safe at home while they learned in a comfortable environment. So evil, you guys.
I don't get how someone could get so worked up by this.
Same people that want stay at home wives and shit too lol
Sorry but that does sound really bad, everyone needs community and to socialize but children expecially. Also home is not a safe comfortable environment for many children. No, I get bullies and whatever but the societal consequences of making all schooling remote would be frankly catastrophic.
I disagree, for me specifically i cannot focus without being present there with a teacher and i dont think i am the only one. Granted i dont have to worry about getting shot in school
@@Discojericho I do agree. In terms of absolutes: remote learning would be worse than accessing education in-person.
That said, the absolute scenario would be unlikely; it's more likely that it may have been used in rare cases such as being unable to attend school due to an illness, or as a provisional measure for an inaccessibility problem that cannot immediately be attended to by the school.
Why does the interviewer sound like he is simultaneously drunk and suffering an allergic reaction that’s closing up his throat?
