If the game allows you to ragequit and not get any penalty, it's no surprise a lot of people will do it, but it's not a community issue, it's a problem in the game that needs to be patched. And since that patch hasn't come out yet, a lot of honest people don't want to grind the game and go up the rankings.
The devs and community need to pay attention to how Raging Blast 2 played online. The Raging Blast series was a spiritual successor to BT3 and the devs should have used RB2 as a point of reference for online balance. Spike also made the raging blast games so its weird how they took gameplay elements from those games, just not the online balancing Almost every suggestion I've seen to improve Sparking Zero online is already in Raging Blast 2. In 2009 people complained about cheese online in RB1, so theg fixed things for RB2. 1. Rage quitting was almost eliminated because they introduced an "admit defeat" button which ended the match, but you forfeit the points to the other player. There were penalities for people who rage quit back to the home screen 2. No unblockable super or ultimate attacks outside of throws. 3. No super armour 4. Afterimage and Afterimage strike didnt last for 15 seconds and it instead only lasted for a set number of hits (for example you were saved 5 times) You could also trigger Afterimage strike with basic key blasts
Back around overwatch 1's release I played rank and when someone beat me I congratulated them because I was impressed at how they killed me. At the time people friended me because they liked the positivity I added (I think) and tbh I enjoyed losing because it showed me creative ways to get around characters. A few years later before Overwatch 2 was announced I went on again and did the same. Now it was mostly the same but now there were some really grumpy ppl that told me to stop congratulating the enemy team (bare in mind I only do it when I'm dead because, whatever can I do?) and for the most it was positive. A few months later the grumpiness got worse and ppl just yelled and screamed at me for being nice; for helping others besides them and I just quit. It was strange but I could see the game getting more and more toxic over the years and I think this is whats happening in gaming in general. The bigger the fanbase the more likely toxic ppl will appear and in turn, the most toxic that franchise's games will get. I don't know why things have gotten more and more toxic over the years and granted nothing is 100% toxic free; but from 2010-2024 the toxicity went way up; in 2020 it skyrocketted fast for an obvious reason and tbh I'm done with them. It's like they are selfish kids that live in their own fantasy world where only they matter. But that doesn't work online since there are other REAL people there.
New player, big fan of the game. Before I did the story I watched dbz, super and all that good stuff. Just doing pvp, but I'll say I hope they fix some things like the connection error. I can't play with one of my friends at all unless we remote play. His older PC cause his new one was in the shop didn't have the issue either. If they fix some issues like that and maybe one day add cross play this game is really fun. Hoping they do good updates like that. Best thing we can do is keep giving feedback for these things.
i also think half of it is people with the connection bugg , me and my friends have not been able to play online since release , from the communication error bug
There are a lot of Dragon Ball gamers who think they are owed an EZW. We saw it in FighterZ and XV2. But, there is also a massive amount of cheese and broken garbo in Sparking. So it's kind of 50/50. 😕😕
@@dangerousdays2052 This is why I stick to actual fighting games now, hit master rank in sf6, and now on my way to tekken king in tekken 8. Sparking zero is fun when my mates are over, having drinks messing around with the huge character roster ect. People should accept that sparking zero was never meant to be an competitive game.
Ranked is def ruined. I'm guilty of it too, if I run into a Wheelo I just Alt F4. No one picks regular characters, only the cheese meta characters. The solution to keep my playing was to go into player match lobbies. People pick normal characters and I like that lobbies over 2+ people can spectate after loss. You can develop strategies after your last loss. It's a better pace and way less toxic than ranked. Player match ended up feeling like the intended way the game is supposed to be played.
I was aware that db community can be veeery toxic, i was sure it is worse than Naruto (correct me in case).. but i didn’t expect the player base to drop so fast. Like new game etc all good, but the steam chart curve drop is heavy ( 3:12 ).
You’re not wrong at all about it being toxic online. Less than a handful of matches were all I need to see how bad it is. And I get enough on my feed when people upload reels of their wins. Lmao I’d rather not be trending on behalf of someone’s toxic behavior.
The community didn't do it, the game did it. 90% of players don't leave because its a good game. It's because there were problems and the in-game problems weren't addressed fast enough.
Kinda. It's a combination of both; the community being toxic put ppl off the online aspect which was a big draw for many since the entire budokai series (tenkaichi and budokai) never have true online battles and the 1 wii game that did was terrible even at launch. It was so laggy ppl just didn't play it. Meanwhile as a fan of the story mode it felt very unfinished. The story mode cinematics were bare and empty; most of them with still images and rarely a clipshow with limited animation for the camera; the narrator is silent despite everyone else talking (which is very weird), the story mode had a lot of missing sagas like vegeta ending at the buu asga while goku and gohan (for some reason) going into super. What if sagas mostly end with a different cinematic and then just end while what if's as early as the saiyan saga can continue 4-5 battles ahead with their own story like they had more time and even fully animated cutscenes. *TLDR* : What I'm saying is, it was a combination of many things that ruined the game.
me and my friends have not been able to play the game online since release a lot of people quit the game because they cant play online because of a bugg....
I'm confused so you don't get banned for mods? I wanna mod so badly but I haven't in a long time since 2011 skyrim. I'm not trynna lose my license to play this shiii
Sparking zero is my favorite game but people are doing this is because many are cheesers literally they just play with broken characters not like they favorite i play super goku in base not like i will go blue already i just go do it in case for emergency and i dont play the game for a while BUT its not because the game its my pc and i give the game 10/10 best game I've played
This community is full of babies. Hell, people focusing on ranked have issues. Like what do you wanna accomplish? Being n1 of your character? Congrats, you got n1 at a game that is the equivalent of dice rolling. Like srsly, this game has no competitive mechanics so why even take it so seriously, if the game has 0 merit in achieving high ranks.... Sheesh. I get it, feeling like you're good at something is nice. But games like this have no mental or mechanical skills required so there's no merit in getting n1. That's just playing a lot of games until you reach the top. Go play fighterZ instead if that's what you want. At least there you might learn what a quarter circle forward is (this is for the fans of the game, not the Mr. Video man here) Also this doesn't mean no one can run tournaments. I think those can be really fun for sure. But you know, if people focus more on fun, then there's less cheap and unfun strategies, and fights actually look and feel super fun and straight out of the show. So people.... Stop optimising the fun out of a game please
Let people play the way they want to play. If you spend your own money to buy a game, nobody should tell you how to play it. People need to stop crying about not being able to play online. Do like me and play offline. Don't be mad because you can't win. Man, the anime community is toxic, so I'm not surprised that an anime game community can also be toxic. Playing online is not mandatory. Most of the time, I hear people crying because they can't win online. Get better or play offline or with your friends. People have the right to cheese the game if they want to and they are also allow to use the strongest characters. Everything is fair play as long as you are not cheating by using mods.
No no, the video man has a point. People are too focused in ranked and too preoccupied with winning. Usually, letting people play the game how they want is the correct way to leave it. But modern people are fucking idiots. No one wants fun anymore. Just win, just competition. Everyone is too brainwashed by the esports and ranked scene to even see fun. Sadly these dudes exist far too much. And it's just a casual no skill game anyway, so it's confusing... Dudes wanna be the best, at a game that is irrelevant at high level. Play fighterZ, play tekken for competition cus those games have the fundamental basic mechanics to make a game have a pro scene.
I agree 1000000% 🤝🏽 I hate this toxicity, if they cheese me, I cheese them 100x times back till they leave, learn to adapt their playstyle and destroy them, instead of crying 😤😤 every post on Reddit is about complaining about anything 🥲
@nechi_kage i agree it's not that simple. For me, my problem is the lack of content offline. The customization is not very good. And I'd like the story modes for the OVAs and Gt. I'm sure we will get them at somepoint. I played BTK3 for hundred of hours when It came out, and I didn't need to play online to have fun. I was 18, so maybe I had more free time. But tenkaichi 4 is missing a few things to be really great. I know they are planning to support the game for years to come, but I think they should've released the game 6 or 12 months from now to give a more complete and satisfying experience to players. The customization is really lackluster. All the characters should've had at least a couple of different outfits. Also, I'd love to see goku with the outfit his has on the cover of the volume 42.
@@IANDURBECK I understand but the vast majority of players don't care about e-sport. Now, you are complaining about players who are too good. Let them enjoy the game the way they want. I guess they need to find a way for casual player to be able to play online with people of their level. Because clearly that is the biggest problem based on the complaints I read.
I bought the game 2 days ago. Found a discord for the game and asked some questions. Based on how toxic the responses were, i refunded the game. It hadn't even finished downloading yet.

I can't understand rage quitting in ranked. You're there to test your own skills, rage quitting just ruins the point of ranked.
You know what it is I think quick match is needed
There is no worse feeling when you are having a fun evenly matched ranked game and then a dr wheelo comes out at the end lmao.
@@Dorazyx lol
I understand when people use exploits to get victory that are NOT EARNED. Then they get rewarded.
After decades of leaderboard and rank , it losses its appeal.
+ the odd cheater doesnt help.

What’s the craziest is there’s more rage quitters on here than storm 4 and connections combined, like why?
Having no consequences for rage quits is a huge factor
