Hi Jessica! I also have a Bernina 770 QE. I asked my local quilt shop - where I purchased my Bernina - for the 57D foot. They told me it would not work on my machine- just to use the screw in guide that came with my machine. I have been using the guide - but have to remove it often and line it up again and again. Glad I watched your video - I will be purchasing the 57D and the 34D. Thank you!
Hi i finally got the time to move on with this. I've never done a star with a square in the middle but it looks cute. I made HST from the cut offs from the flying geese, yes there just 1" but hey 8 bonus hst are 2 cute pinwheels
Hi Jessica, I’ve completed the first 4 blocks. I wish I could show you them. They are so cute! I’m glad to be using up my scraps. Btw your directions on the blog are very good. Thank you!
I am so happy that you are enjoying using your scraps in this quilt along! If you are on Instagram, you can use the hashtag #2024scrappysampler and I will be able to see your blocks (as long as your profile isn't private). Thanks!
Hi Jessica - I’ve not yet started yet (this week has me under the weather) but plan to after the first. I don’t have that much scrappy stash yet as just getting back to sewing/quilting so I will break out one of my fat quarter bundles. My questions are: how do you prep your fabric? I hear some starch before sewing. And do you use steam or dry iron when pressing? Happy New Year! Doreen 💜🦋
I hope you are well soon! I doubt prep my fabric in any way. I don't prewash or starch. Just use it right as it is. When I do press after my block or top is assembled, I use dry heat. Happy New Year to you!
Hi Jessica! I love all your videos and tutorials!! I see we live in the same general area of PA (I live in Bethlehem). I have a question - what Bernina machine do you use for your piecing and what kind of machine do you use for quilting? I am ready to level up my machines. Also in our area where should I purchase these machines? I appreciate any advice you can give me! God bless!
Thanks! I use a BERNINA 770 QE PLUS for piecing. It is also a great machine for quilting on a domestic. It comes with a BSR (BERNINA Stitch Regulator) and you can do amazing free motion quilting with that. You can also buy a walking foot with guide to go with it if you prefer straight stitch quilting or want to do that as well as free motion. Last year, I got a BERNINA Q24 with Q-matic long arm and I do all my quilting on that now. A really outstanding BERNINA dealer is Hinkletown Sewing Machine Shop- 232 Wanner Rd, Ephrata, PA 17522.
I found the blocks. Thank you so much,

That's strange! Maybe they were just trying to save you money without buying another foot. I definitely recommend buying it. It is my favorite.

Your accuracy is inspiring!
thank you
You're welcome
That was so stinking easy to see it together like you did. Totally awesome. Going to have to try this
Enjoy!
I can seem to print off the instructions. I usually print off stuff then put it in a 3 ring notebook to make at a later date when I have more time
You might have to download them to your computer before printing but it should definitely work one way or another.

@@jessica_dayon thank you for helping me. I love your tutorials they are always very easy to follow. Thank you for putting them out there for us
Why don’t you press your seams?
I prefer not to press until the block or quilt top is assembled, depending on what I'm making.
I'm not stitching because I have too many projects going right now, but I'm watching every day. Awesome work!❤
