✌️ Your comprehension is commendable, and your explanation is clear. The challenge with individuals who are born into Sunni traditions is their difficulty in letting go of ingrained beliefs. Salah is umbrella term which may mean different things throughout the Quran. One of the meanings is prayer. Call it ritual prayer or simply prayer doesn't matter. In fact everything we do reportedly can be called a ritual. Greeting people saying peace is also a ritual, or starting your day glorifying the Creator is also a ritual. We shouldn't be so scared of the word ritual... You say Salah means connection, but it doesn't. Salah is a way of connection but not connection itself. Why God is using such an umbrella term as salah in Quran? It's not logical to use this term many times in the book and intend to express just one of it's meanings. It cannot possibly mean just one thing everywhere in Quran. Sunnis say it means ritual prayer and you say it means connection, but both are wrong. You both will struggle to translate and understand the Quran if limit the meaning of salah just to one thing and you do. These are to extremities to say that there is no ritual prayer and salah means only connection and saying that salah means only ritual prayer. When God says that there is salat-ul-fajr, salat-ul-isha and salat-ul-wusta, that time for them is prescribed, explaines precisely these time intervals, says that you should read Quran and make sajda it means that there is rituals in Quran. Ritual is an activity you constantly do in certain times, call it prayer or connection or whatever you like. Now you'll say that sajda doesn't mean literal prostration, but in fact it means literal prostration besides all other meanings... Thank you for the video, but my logic and soul were not satisfied with your understanding of 4:102. Peace...
Where’d you get the confidence to write what you wrote? Where’d you get the idea that salat means prayer outside of Hadiths? Where were you commanded to engage in salat @fajr or isha? Is there a command in 24:58? 2:238 wusta has what to do with middle of something? What’s any of those verses got to do with “prayer”? The most you get with salat is reciting the book so where’d you get “prayerl” from? I need to understand where you got the audacity to think you have some sort of an argument with this.
Bro , God is connected to you through your mind. Your mind is where you do "sajada" "when Quran is recited , they do not "sajada" . You accepting the Quranic tenets is your "sajada" i.e submit to it.
On a side note , I've come to realize that "masjid" is not a specific place where you go and jump up and down. "Masjid" is your mind , every occasion of subservience to God in your life is your "masjid" it's like saying " your body is the temple of God." The temple is not a building outside. it's building mindfulness of God within you. Quran is replete with symbolism and allegories and parables and talks mostly about the inner fluctuations of our minds and tell us to build mindfulness of God within ourselves and grow (zakaat) our ego (nafs = self , ego, person)
@@hotspring503 You have a physical body and you have a mind. Reciting Quran and humbling yourself in your mind is sajda, I totally agree. Prostrating physically is also sajda. Doing both is the best way to follow the word of the God. Both types of sajda brings us closer to Him. If you claim that physical prostration to your Lord doesn't make you closer to Him it's okay, but it's your personal and subjective experience. But if I read, hear or see the verses of God and prostrate to Him both ways what is wrong with it and where it contradicts the Quran? If connection to God is only in your mind then go and recite Quran and connect to Him naked, for example. Can you do it this way?
