happened with me a few days ago a person called me Kafir because i rejected Hadith and said that Hajj was a pagan-Arab ritual, i'm also kafir according to him because im not following the Quran, because in Qur'an Allah said: "O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you." 4:59 - so i have to follow hadith otherwise i'm a non-believer and munkir (rejecter of Quran). (but he was a good guy he apologized later, may Allah guide him), one more interesting thing is that most Sunni interpret verse #3 of Surah al Rahman, (Al-lama hul-bayaan) they say that in this verse Allah is talking about how He taught Prophet Muhammad everything, and they also say "wa ma kaana wa ma yakuun" means that Allah has taught Prophet Muhammad everything that has happened and everything that will happen in the future, and that Prophet Muhammad has ilm-e-ghaib "knowledge of unseen" and Hes equally all-knowing as Allah (astaghfirullah), they believe when Prophet Muhammad went to Miraj, Allah gave all his knowledge to Prophet Muhammad and hence when ever you shout Prophet Muhammad's name, He listens you and helps you and He will come to your grave to intercede and grant you maghfirat with the help of Allah.

Salam, im so sorry for your childhood brother, May Allah give you strength and patience, I'm following Hadith because of one verse of the Qur'an, in 17:60 Allah said "- and did we not make the vision that we showed you a trial for people" and many scholars and tafaseers explained this "vision" as a event of Miraj when Prophet Muhammad visited 7 heavens and Paradise and Hell and meet with all the Prophets and got 50 obligatory prayers as a gift while being awake, and when Prophet Muhammad told people about it (the Night Journey) people denied it, and thats what Allah is confirming that "He made that vision a trial for people/disbelievers" and I can't find any explanation about that "vision" in the Quran since Quran itself claims to be fully detailed and completed, if you can help me, please do, i will be really happy to get corrected! Wassalam..

Wagwan me brudda, I personally think the Quran mainly teaches pure monotheism. Nothing I’ve read from the Quran seems to indicate it was some sorta religion. I don’t consider myself religious because it inherently divides people. I think if your a pure monotheist which is instinctually what everyone believes in but people get brainwashed into believing other garbage you’ll reap the blessings of god. Btw as a side note I wonder what your thoughts are on the Adam and Eve story in Quran. I thjnk it has to be some sort of parable or metaphor because god clearly made having intercourse and marriage with direct family unlawful but that’s what the first couple generations of humans had to do to populate the earth so it makes no sense god would make it unlawful then.
