Thats what I really like about you guys, you tell it straight, even though I dont agree with Judson's opinion on Ronny James Dio, Im glad he is straight with us, so many reactors are so amazed with everyone, those aren't real reactions. Keep up the great work!
This was essentially a continuation of Ronnie's previous band, "Elf" with Ritchie on guitar. It was on the subsequent Rainbow album, "Rainbow Rising" where there was a massive lineup change. Elf had been around in various incarnations since the late 1950's. Elf opened up for Deep Purple in the early 1970's and Ritchie was so impressed by Ronnie's voice and stage presence that he had to recruit him, but Ronnie's only request was to keep his backing band. That changed after album #1! Ironically, Ronnie left the band after album #3, "Long Live Rock N Roll" to join Black Sabbath as their singer after Ozzy was fired.
I knew that was Sting. Some of his solo stuff is pretty interesting. (Edit; dig the impromptu rendition of this one Judson, the added drama and tension serves that riff well. Never vared much for Dio's voice. Thought he sounded corny, but this song is palatable. Anyways, thanks for the content. Keep yer finger in it.
Ritchie is playing inverted power chords - he's not playing the low root note and is playing the 5th and octave root, like Smoke on the Water. He does it all the time.
Review this song LIVE in Munich 1977, the 14:45 minute ling version, Ronnies acapello, UNREAL. And 'Mistreated' Live from the same concert Munich 1977. If RJD's GOAT voce still doesn't hit you, you re dead.
Judson may need to fall in love with a new female singer.....which is why Jinjer's song Sit Stay Roll Over may need to make an appearance soon. I hear Vola's song Cannibal is pretty good too...
yeah, that's a great pick....sometimes you need to get old school to know where shit's comin' from....This is a great tune too ua-cam.com/video/RQ38PnsU1Fs/v-deo.htmlsi=EzcTne01MdH0B7aT

Thank you for hanging out with us!
Yeah, people from reaction videos channels being amazed by every shit they listen to is so annoying. It's different here.

Blackmore and Dio.
Just wow.
Nice choice, Richard
You simply cannot go wrong with Ronnie James Dio singing.

Please check Riverside - Left Out.
As a young dumb kid I always thought this was DIO🤘🏻💥🔥🙏🏻💯 It, unfortunately, was years before I knew Rainbow was the group and RJD was the singer.

Judson reminds me of Townes Van Zandt for some reason
I take that as an extremely high compliment! Townes is one the greats to me~j
I doubt you listen to grind but I would love to see your reaction to bands like Brutal Truth or Insect Warfare. That would hilarious.
