You are correct. This is most clear when we talk about which groups of people can be joked about and which ones can't. People talking about "punching down" a lot when it comes to comedy, but if certain people groups are the only ones who are socially acceptable to be punched, who is really "down" and who is really "up" in such a system?
And yeah, you're right that power structures differ in who they benefit based on the social context. I got bullied A LOT at a summer daycare thing I went to as a kid because I was part of a church-going family, but very few of the other kids were, which meant that all the ones that weren't (which was the majority) would relentlessly bully those of us who were. I got targeted and singled out by both my professor and many of my classmates in a Philosophy of Religion course because I was the only Christian in the class. I also very likely for graded more harshly because my views didn't align with the professor's, whereas he was constantly throwing softballs to the atheists. But when I later attended a Christian University, my beliefs much more closely aligned with the school's and with most of my fellow students. Any non-Christian who attended there wouldn't have fit in well and probably would have experienced bullying too.
Now, I am not gonna be an asshole and act like the anti-Christian prejudice I received was the same as anti-black racism, or the same as anti-Muslim prejudice, or anti-Jewish prejudice, or whatever. Just that systemic prejudice is based entirely on your specific social context.

You’re understanding of travelling around Europe is weird. If I want to go to Spain for a week flying from England in a 4star hotel it’s a minimum of £1200 pp. If i want to go slightly further to say Greece/ Cyprus, to stay in a 4star hotel you’re looking at around £1600. Italy probably about the same price maybe a bit more. You can get trains and some cheap flight tickets but staying in the hotels is not cheap. Trains aren’t that cheap either. I can fly from like Birmingham to Barcelona 3x cheaper than getting a train from Newcastle UK to London UK.

The UK is the worst example of this, and you guys left the EU which has also put-up barriers. Destiny larger point was continental Europe, where it is not at all strange, or difficult to travel to other countries.
@@grandgibbon2071 prices haven’t really gone up for tourism. The only additional fee is like a €30 tourism tax when you get to the hotel. I’m 33 and have been travelling multiple times a year since the age of 4. I know what im takking about. The prices are in line with inflation, nothing to do with Brexit.
Edit… if anything it’s better because we get the better Duty Free prices in the airport.
