- Another lone tree in the lake of Rydal Water, in the heart of the Lake District in Cumbria, Starting early for some Sunrise landscape photography
So we went off looking for another lone tree, we did not stop there long as the photography conditions were low, so we ended up hiking up to the top of Loughrigg fell where the views and landscape photography was in a 360 degree view. There were more adventures to have up on the top, so ill be returning soon.

Hello Paul. Thank you again for your sharing with us your thoughts and the photos. Love your videos. Amnon.
Glad you like them!
Great images! I liked the third swan shot with both birds!
its defo a mixed choice
Great shots Paul love the cave shots
Thank you 😊
Beautiful part of the world!
have you been
No but it’s on our bucket list!
then make it happen lol... or join me on a photo walk
Cracking stuff, especially the no 4 shot with the swan.. 👍
bloody swans haha
@@paulcomptonpdphotography was in the same situation a while back..lone tree with ducks..and all the shots were shite due to slow shutter speed 🙈
slow it down
I am lucky to live 2 miles from there so visit regularly. The most important kit I take is my wellies. It allows you to choose the best place to stand and helps you avoid getting the unsightly mud in the foreground. Wellies could be one of your items for your new channel. 🙂
Lol you defo need wellies
Good as usual Paul.
Many thanks!
Great video Paul 👌
Legend!
Great images my favourite was the first Swan one . I think the swans wanted there photos taken
Glad you enjoyed it
Well those wellies would have been useful. I liked Swan 4 because they are swimming into the frame rather than out of it. The tree probably 1 or 4 because it deserves all the attention. I admire your early starts, thanks for the insight once again Paul
Good call! glad you took the time to look
Hi mate. Awesome shots. #4 Swan and #4 Tree and rocks and your 14 shot Pano. Great vlog

@@paulcomptonpdphotography I just love the positioning of the swans, it just makes it all work for me.

its a good walk and worth it
I can’t believe you have never photographed that tree, even I’ve been there. Love the swan shots 👏
i know its just not one i head to... haha
Some great images Paul the slight colour in the clouds definitely made it. Swan image 3 was my favourite. The shots in Rydal cave looked great 👍 Enjoyed watching mate
Absolutely it was so small but there
swan photo number 1
swan one thank you
A great watch Paul. I had already seen Howdy Doody's vlog so knew what to expect and I wasn't disappointed. Swan 4 and tree 2 for me mate with the top image being at around 20:10 looking out of the cave. Awesome 📷👏🥇
i know its hard when your out with another vlogger haha
Nice one Mr C, seems ages since we were there, it was a great Morning and great images Mr 👍🏻

Wow. Beautiful scenery! Well made video. Thanks for sharing. New subscriber here:)
Thanks and welcome hope you stick around and check out some of the older stuff..
I liked number 3 picture with the swans. Did you use a filter to get the smooth water Paul?
i tghink it was alonger exposure then blend the swan.. i think??
33:33 WooooooooooooW what a photo/composition, my last time in the Lake Distric,t the weather was absolut terrible, it was rain cats and dogs and the land was over floating. Great video and photos, despite the gray weather. Well done !!!
just keep going back haha
...yes I will be back in autumn, cottage in Wales and the ferry is already booked...haha 🤗😉
just clearing some old replies i have missed sorry i did not respond
What all the sheep sheit that you find in that little field, you’re worried about the mud… hahaha

Very nice pictures. I prefer the swan picture 2 and tree 4 🙂

Number 2
why thank you
Got to be photo 2 for me Paul.
ha got to be why is that
@@paulcomptonpdphotography it just looks.like it has everything in it, photo 1 has the lake in but not fully. Thats only what i think and im just a real beginner. Love you videos Paul plus you go to so much trouble to put them out. Credit to you mate.
begginer or not you have your own eyes and its nice to hear why.. thank you
I enjoyed your video, can I ask what tripod head are you using?
it is the GH PRo2 its the best haha
Sunwayfoto GHPro2 geared head amzn.to/3aQRnmd
Thanks Paul
your welcome
great video as usual bud well done not be out foor a while as bruised my foot but wanted to ask opinion on benro tripods as looking into carbon fibre and been looking at the benro tortoise or the benro rhino tripod kits but swapping ball head for rither gimball head or swapping ball head for an acratech ball head the mach3 series looks nice but a bit too over priced for my budget and also ow r u getting on with the shimoda bag as looking into a new bag but has to carry a nikon mirrorless kit with small lens and another sony mirrorless kit with battery grip and a larger lens too as well and also have to try and arrange a meet up too some point this year either in lakes yorkshire dales way or northumberland area
thats a lot of thinking, i love my Sunwayfot but hard to get your hands on them, i would say the benro i have and the geared head or ball head B2 is very good..
Benro Mach3 amzn.to/3l6cJQZ
Benro Tripod TMA48CXL amzn.to/2WPRENJ
Benro Ball Head B2 amzn.to/2P1AHwL
@@paulcomptonpdphotography cheers appreciate thanks for info as say checked that out but a bit too pricey for me it is but thanks as say not sure whether to use ball head or get gimbal head if u had to choose between sunwayfoto and beno tripod which would u choose and how u getting on with new shimoda bag im thinking of getting the shimoda 40 starter pack
The Shimoda bag is very good not sure its worth the price tag.. as for the tripod the Benro is total amazing but big to carry, the Sunwayfoto is so good i love it, i use it every day and cant fault it at all, i am going to do a follow video on it.. check out my new channel Vanlife Photography Gear i have just re posted the videos on the tripod.

@@paulcomptonpdphotography hiya bud all good will check it out thanks ive actually contacted the guys at benro and for the models ive shown interest in they have sai can do me a very special offer on either one of the triods been looking at the benro rhino tripod which can use the cnetre column with one of the legs and turn it into a monopod or the benro totrotise the mach3 too pricey for me the sunwayfoto ones do u look impressive but think going to go with the benro ones but if i change mind may look at the sunwayfoto tripods
Well you will love the qualiity let me know how you get on
Swan 3, tree 3,
and why is that
Swan 4
thanks
For me you had to get the limbs of the tree out from the hill behind (I know you'd maybe lose the patch of frost) shooting wider and cropping in post may have kept all the elements; swans improved it though. Cave shots are great (you know I like my geology). Pity you didn't get the light for the hills. The important bit is you had a good day out in good company.
Carry less gear ...... On a hiking vlog I watched recently the simplest idea was just force yourself to list everything you didn't use when you get back. Un-pack it and see if you miss it the following time. You don't get fitter by irregular exercise with a too heavy pack. Think about all the shots you could have taken if you weren't too knackered 😓
it was a good day out and ill be going back time and time again
☺
20kg of kit wow what are you carrying lol
the bath and the sink are heavy
Swan 4
lol ta
