2003 was definitely one of the best years of WWE. We were now fully into Ruthless Aggression and we got a lot of big and new names who would go on to be huge legends as time went on and the shows were top notch. Man, I miss my childhood.😌
WWE in 2003 had a stacked roster. Pretty much everyone had a defined character. IMO, the biggest heel on Raw was Triple H while the biggest babyface was Stone Cold Steve Austin, even though he wasn't wrestling. On Smackdown, the biggest heel was Brock Lesnar while the biggest babyface was The Undertaker.
This was an awesome idea! You could make this a series, and do one per month, like 2004 next month, 2005 month after that, etc.
Honestly 2003 was a great year for WWE the roster, Paper Veiws, matches , Storylines ect. To where the negatives mostly are outshadowed by the positives. It wasn't great at times but the greats are well remembered compared to the negatives

@@melvynwindmon1927 Yeah he probably would have been better suited on Smackdown because Raw was so ludicrously stacked with HHH, Austin, Flair, Foley, Rock, Goldberg, HBK, Steiner, Nash, Jericho, Kane, Batista, Orton, Booker, RVD, etc.. there was just so many guys to showcase on a two hour show.. even guys like Christian were big parts of that show for comic relief. Smackdown had Taker, Angle, Show, Edge, Cena, Guerrero, Rey, Hogan, Brock but after that there was much more opportunity for Jeff, which is not to say he wasn't impactful on Raw, because he was, but his drug use was derailing his career at that time, and WWE was never gonna push a guy they didn't trust no matter what show he was on. Ultimately it ended up not mattering.
He was probably on Raw in the first place because their thinking was that if the Hardys are split up and trying to carve out singles careers as individuals, the logical and easy way to do that is to keep them on separate shows so they never have to interact. Matt flourished on Smackdown with a new gimmick, but he was basically a nobody on Raw when he moved over there to be with Lita (before all the Lita and Edge stuff happened). Jeff held his own on Raw because Jeff was obviously a much bigger star then and now.. But yeah I think Jeff being put on Raw in 2003 was probably poor booking, I agree.

yes when you post about the timeline of 2002 to 2010 ppvs or a storyline those are my favorite videos and when I started watching wrestling in 2007 my first time watching was may 11th which was my birthday and that was the night edge went to smackdown in 2007 and cashed in on the undertaker after the steel cage match it's awesome but I love your videos I have the bell on and I'm subscribed

WWE Had an amazing Roster especially their women's division Victoria Jazz Trish Stratus Lita and Molly Holly ivory they started the women's revolution smackdown and Raw Had an amazing Roster back than and Lance Storm turning Face was his downfall Kane's unmasking was great.

the greatest roster in WWE history. The storylines weren't even good in retrospect in 2003 and I didn't even care because I was such a mark for everyone on the show and didn't know any better at 9

Honestly, the most evil characters of 2003 were Brock Lesnar and Vince McMahon. Brock was booked like Gregor Clegane that year and 2003 was the darkest Vince's character ever got.

Questionable and Bad should probably be separated on these lists.
2003 was a good year for smackdown and a mid year for raw thx trips for that but the roster was good some storylines we’re just to dumb or aged like milk and some stars did end up being bury and never saw as main event potential thx to some egos and the tag division did felt a bit mid but u want a bad year 2004 the lack of main event talent odd stars being push idiotic gimmicks and smackdown suffer thx to the draft meanwhile raw did got better still had the reign of terror

To me, 'Taker wasn't /evil/, at least not.... Completely.
Yes, he did try to ritualistically marry a woman by force for reasons still unknown other than to capitalize on the satanic panic but over the years, Undertaker became an almost protector type character -- a force that was used on occasion to punish the more traditional "bad guys" while still going after people of the other alignment if he felt they went out of line.
He's an interesting character, morally speaking.

Most of the people who say Smackdown was better in 2003 weren't even watching wrestling at that time. It still felt like the attitude era because it basically still was.. Stone Cold and the Rock and even Hogan were big parts of the show, especially Austin. Raw was better to me as a kid because it was edgier, the crowd was always into it, and they did actual storylines and promos and a ton of backstage segments whether they were good or bad. It felt like an adult show that I wasn't supposed to be watching. Smackdown was great but it didn't have the same Live big feel to it, it felt more tame in some ways.. Raw was either amazing or terrible back then and Smackdown was always solid. The best Raws were better than the best Smackdowns but the worst Smackdown was better than the worst Raw by far. Smackdown was more consistent in what it was, Stone Cold and JR were on Raw thats all I cared about at 9 years old lol
