    If you undo the shock bolts at the bottom, and lower the diff a bit more, the coils come out easy, then just slide them inside coils.

    Using hot water works better than heat for the tubing.

    Check out Timbren bump stops replacement , it's easy and security incase the air bag leak .

      James, thanks for watching. I am familiar with the timbren product. I prefer the ability to adjust the leveling to keep the weight more equally divided across both axles. Well, at least As much as you can.

    I would not recommend these 1000HD bags if you live in a cold climate. I have had to replace mine (under warranty) multiple times due to cracking and leaking. Airlift knows about the problem and just continues to send warranty replacements. I'm sick of changing out the in-coil bags and am going with another company. To bad airlift won't allow me to pay the difference for a different style of airbag, they have lost a customer and I will let everyone know of the issues I have had.

      We no longer have that truck or the airbags. I suggest reaching out to Airlift. Thanks for watching. The airbags worked great during the time we had them with pulling the camper and boat.

    How have these held up

      @ParadiseinaTinCan  2 роки тому +2

      Yes, I installed them on my buddies Ram. He has been using them just about every weekend to tow his boat or camper for the past two seasons with no problems.

    Bouncy rides are because of weak shocks, sagging under load is due to weak springs.

      In some circumstances, I would agree with this. The manufacturers are trying to make trucks that are comfortable but still capable of carrying heavyweight. The result is a truck that sags under heavy loads by an inch or two. The airbags allow you to reduce the sag and preserve a comfortable ride when no load is present. The airbags also help to keep the heavy load in place during turning and breaking. The airbags also help keep the trailer flat so that its axles/suspensions are working at their best. The point is most of us use our trucks as daily drivers and occasionally tow heavyweight. We would like to have comfort over the terrible roads we drive but still firm the suspension when needed.

      @@ParadiseinaTinCan exactly correct!! It's don't increase the amount you can tow, these help keep your truck level when towing instead of a truck that looks like it's going to ride down the road with the front tires barley contacting the road lol.

    Hey did you disconnect the shocks or anything prior to lowering the truck onto the jack stands

    • @ParadiseinaTinCan
      @ParadiseinaTinCan  3 роки тому +1

      Mar. Lifted the truck using a bottle jack and used the jack stands on the frame. A floor jack was used under the rear axle to control the movement.

      I did not disconnect any parts. The bags slide in with just soapy water
