I am glad you're getting success from this cause i have yet to see one a planet, watching all these UA-cam videos for finding ships and not one has pan out.
At this point, I'd wait until the patch drop and try them. Otherwise, you'd have to give me all your details (level, moons, NG+, and so on). Even then I can only tell you if you're doing something that sounds different than what I do (that's entirely dependent on you sharing details). I can recreate this outcome from scratch and have 20GB of video and many hours of it working. It's repeatable so that leaves us with a difference between what I think I'm showing you in videos and how you're interpreting it. It's always possible I'm doing something that I've not explicitly stated as necessary and you're not in the habit of doing it. One of those, "Oh yeah, make sure you always do ABC" that I assume everyone does. Other people might even pick up on it and it works for them, but it's just not in your normal practices. The rest are Bethesda issues or with your machine and installation.
Ive been ship hunting for cheapest 'A' class ships then registering them in my menu so it costs less, then duplicating my Main ship over top the Class As and selling them for around 100k each with a 1000% Profit :) if U try this you must say often cuz ur game will crash. This is the way to get rid of the Frontier and the Starborn Guardian clearing 2 needed spaces in your Inventory 😅 You are welcome to use this if you want. Thank YOU for the tips!!
I'm now grabbing screenshots of those red 3D models and then labeling them afterwards.... I def don't want to run a bunch only to discover it's a UC Vanguard... anything :)
That could pay off just on general use of the maps too. Anywhere you land, if you can recognize the ship you could find nice ones already landed or at POIs.
I do this to get all my Va'ruun ships at level one when I reach kreet. I save befor landing and reload it untill I get a Va'ruun ship to land. Yet I tend to only get Va'ruun Hymn's and Litany's landing.
Glad to hear it. I've had good luck with the ship hunting approach with low level character too. It does appear that the 'ship pool' is dependent on the system level and perhaps even character level. I can get some great Class C ships even in the low teens (levels). They won't be version III of a ship, but I can easily find Wights and Hyenas (version I; which isn't listed).
Older videos, but this was the one where I did the ship module swaps: Mitar IV (Clay-No-More III) - Retrofit ua-cam.com/video/jr1gb6C858I/v-deo.htmlsi=-fQjuw1odgEoc-Lj Interior changes (minor) - Decorating a Claymore III (May Update) ua-cam.com/video/Z3O4R5hgcPY/v-deo.htmlsi=X6gKtGG1FThhuedf These days I use the Deimos 2x2 Battle Station.
It's always possible they tweaked the 'ship loot tables' in the last update, but I've not circled back an done any long tests (counting ships). I know they nerfed stash notes (perhaps out of existence while they fix the broken Legendary traits).
Interesting. I went to Porrima II-b and saw a Pik Up landing. Never actually seen one land before. Maybe I'm spending too much time in the high-level systems or have the ship types that land become more diverse?
I don't know if they set a 'loot/ship table' for each system at game start, first entry to the system, landing on a specific planet, or other. They do seem to lean into enemy ships first but include friendly ships and what I generally call 'encounter ships.' The vendor that landed was the one with the sales robot. I've also seen Paisely and Grumble again (the lizard that seems to breath fine on planets with no atmosphere). :) 90% Enemy Ships 10% Friendly Ships (2% were 'encounter' ships) Will that hold up for 100s of landings? I don't know but 50+ feels like a good sample. I actually spawned in 70+, but only logged 50. I will also note that all the Wights on Porrima I-a flew away. On Porrima I-b, they did not. For all we can tell looking at the 'black box' of ship landings, that's a planet specific setting when you first land. ua-cam.com/users/shortsDT5gsUoH6Cw?feature=share
@@kineer Bohr II has animals that look just like Grumble. Pity you can't adopt one for an outpost. I had Grumble hanging around my outpost for a while, looked like he got separated from Paisley. I've picked up 2 Wights that were sitting on the ground since the beta dropped but they were in level 75 systems. I never do the load/save thing to see what spawns and just go with whatever I find. I have a theory that you have to go and "clean up" planets from random landed ships including the small ones that you wouldn't normally bother with to get new spawns. Have you encountered the smuggler Vista? It lands but the crew doesn't exit. The landing bay is not locked and if you go up to speak to the captain she'll give you some goodies.
I've had Class C ships spawn on moons in Porrima system using a level 14 character. They were not "level III' versions of ships, those were only popping for higher level characters. For example, my 'survival mode' starter character flies an Ecliptic Claymore (I) that he picked up after leveling Pilot skill to 4/4. Otherwise the ship spawning, ship landing sites, and (returned) sonic boom landings should work the same. I don't recall how often I repeat it, but I find the highest landing rates on cratered moons, no atmosphere and He-3. You can find ships landing in a lot of other places, I just seem to find those types of moons to be the most productive/frequent.
I tested something like that. Immediately after space combat, throwing a point into something like Shield Systems (or other ship releated skill) would trigger the bug. I have not gone back to test that one since the last patch. What I tested was loading up the Frontier with several of the "offending companions" that used to trigger the bug. Like this: ua-cam.com/users/shorts9PclTnM39ck The shield values stayed stable. That said, we collectively knew of 2-4 ways to trigger it. That does not mean those were the only ways for that issue to happen nor does it guarantee us that Bethesda found the root cause(s) and they are resolved. :(

Hopefully when shattered space comes out the land vehicles and new points of interest will make the game feel a little more complete.
I'm enjoy it quite a bit.
I been going thru the mission boards and go after the class c ships.
Good results?

I just hope they add one or two more C class reactors with more than 40 power since the highest B reactor is 39
It does seem like a strange cluster at the top. That B is so light too.
so is there a technique for class C ships? because even when i do this on high level planets they’re all the same spawns

I find capered ships useless since because of a bug they won't add points to your Tech talent tree. Only "legally" obtained or quest reward ships do..
I am not familiar with this issue. Intriguing though. I rely entirely on stolen ships on several saves.
