I bought a Zontes ZT125-U in November 2019 and I’ve ridden it as a daily commute ever since then including each winter! I can absolutely attest to the quality of the Zontes build. Chinese bikes get a bad reputation but I love my little Zontes. I also ride a Z650 btw. The Zontes is more than enough for commuting!
I have now 12000 km with my G1 and i love it ♥
Hello to the UK.
This is by far the best comparison video of the two Zontes motorcycles that is available on UA-cam. Even though I come from Germany, everything is very understandable and can be understood by anyone who knows some school English.
My conclusion is that you actually have to decide between the designs and the appearance, it's nothing more.

Fantastic review as always from motors for the masses
Just bought the GK 125 for my missus but I've been running it in for her, now I've gone past 300 miles (still on the first tank of petrol with a couple of segments left on the gauge) the engines freeing up a lot and it's a great hoot around the twisties , it handles brilliantly and you're right those knobbley tires are no problem!
The bar end mirrors give a better view than the stick mirrors on my Vstrom!
I'm so impressed with this 125 I've asked our dealer to get a GK350 in for a test ride !

The Zontes GK125 is now going immediately on my wish list. It will join the Honda Forza-125 and the Sinnis Terrain-125 as my fav two wheel vehicles. It looks totally dope!!!

Lovely bit of good Chinese kit, had my g1 for over a year now with absolutely no faults or problems. It looks incredible rides pretty good considering its Chinese and brings a smile the whole while.
The power is just what you would expect nothing to fruity but enough to get you moving along with traffic on a duel carriage way.
I highly recommend the upgraded air filter once run in the 1000 miles and oil changed with oil filter of corse.
Overall its a brilliant bit of non ricer boy kit, perfect for a young or older person that wants looks, comfort and a cheap way to get about.

Done 36000 kms on my ZT155G1 and still loving it. Prefer the manual key in G1 over PKE key in GK. Less headache...
Loved my G1 think it looks better than the GK but for the difference in money I think most people will opt for the one with the gadgets, so in time the brilliant G1 will have to sell for less

In my country 50% Of the side is Bronze.
Sometimes I think it's looking a bit cheap.
For me as a 188 cm Person i think Its better to buy the G1 but i Like the gadgets of GK more . Its a Bit difficult for me now
That's the sooting question answered, the GK seemed to give slightly more with your arse applied than the G1, I like em.
I wish they would automatics
in these styles and in a cruiser style Id have one of each.
From the Zontes site, the height of both is 1112, the G1 seat height is 795 while the GK is 770. Curiously the GI ground Clearance is 160 while the GK is 225, not sure I believe that they look identical in the video.

Some say the g1 is better for big people but some owners say it makes no different. So idk.
I can have a g1 and GK for the same price.

I am getting my G1 125 Scrambler in BLK as well in 8-10 days!!! GK version looks great with the extras. But to be honest, the G1 is perfect. As I don't like the keyless and the tank on the GK.
Seriously can't wait to travel with it here in Spain and other places as well. After the break in period of course. I have had much bigger bikes than a 125cc but this one seems different to me, love it actually. And for the price on the 2022 (euro -5) just had to get it!!

A few days back I test-drove Zontes GK 155 & G1 155 both. In my country it's 155cc. Anyway, I have noticed the tank area around the knee is getting very hot !! So is this a common thing with these types of bikes? The dealer said the bike is new and when I emailed a service expert he said it's very common and the bike is perfectly designed. I just want to know your opinion on this and if you have noticed this too?

I’m also eying this Gk1 to buy. However, my only worry is how I’m gonna get it fixed anything gets messed up, as local mechanics wouldn’t touch it and that’s so legit
Night and day compared to my old Taiwanese Sym wolf 150 classic. The Chinese bikes have come a long way, from afar, how are they for reliability? Love these Chinese bike reviews, we don't have these brands in Canada. Cheers.
Only seen a couple with issues, seem to be one off engine stutters, auto decompression so cannot do standard compression checks on these. Out of all sold, very few issues.

No it doesn't. The U has alloy, the U1 and G1 have spoked.

my g1x 125 goes 122 km/H top speed. and im heavy. 139 kg. so pobrably 130 on g1x if u are lighter. does 600+ km on a full tank of gas
