I bought Colfer's books because I was super into Glee, but he's a better writer than he's a singer, and he was my favorite too 😆

This is impressive. For so many reasons. The first being you present book series that I have never heard befor or seen befor on booktube. It is unbelivable how many series you started. I am curious if you need to reread every time you start a new sequel. Second to have HARDBACKS in such a good condition for 5 bucks is 🙀. I want such oportunity!!! The only one, as it is on my TBR is Terraformars book.

Thank you! I think the only thing I have going for me different is that I have a lot of backlist and obscure titles from all those years of bookselling. I can’t believe how many immaculate books I got for so cheap! I do wait for their semi annual 30% sales, often in June/July and then again around Black Friday. It’s collect hardcovers or go home haha!

Sequels - if the book was read within the last year, maybe even as far as two, I usually can dive in without a reread (although I’d prefer not to wait these days), any long than that and I may as well start over again. I have at least 30 series I’d have to restart before continuing at this point.

@@TheObsessiveBookseller 30 series is impressive and intimidating. I usually complite series and almost never read some other book in between. I tryed but my mind wonders back. If it is fantasy series but paused by a Regency Standalone Romance it works better 😅
I am even getting picky with SUB Boxes...if the book is maybe having a sequel but not sure duology or trilogy than I am skipping 🙈

Wow lots of books lol. I would be leery of books by actors as well, but I think it’s a good idea to give them a try. I’ve been on the fence about Matthew Ward. His covers are cool lol.

I haven’t had the best luck with actor books, but someone just commented that those Colfer ones were actually really good, so that’s hopeful. Considering how much I invested in those Ward books, they’d better be great!

First off, I apologize for carrying past topics over to new videos haha. So...Dragons of Dwarven Depths is really good. It picks up right after Autumn Twilight and it reads just innocent and lyrical. And I've already lol'd about ten times at Tasselhoff. Ok...now onto the new video :)
Glacier's Edge?! Never heard of it! I don't really keep up with release dates, so I had no idea. Yay!
My whole life, I've wanted Drizzt's journals compiled. But I can't handle the title. Dao? That's buddhist. I wish it was just Journals of Drizzt Do'Urdan. Sigh

      @TheObsessiveBookseller  5 місяців тому

Haha I’m sure someone thought they were being clever with alliteration. I haven’t looked it up but I thought that word meant “the philosophy of” or something similar. Journals would’ve definitely been more accurate.
Yeah! There are two more in that trilogy I haven’t bought yet. I need to binge read a few to try to catch up.
It’s okay, it feels more like a conversation. I didn’t realize where Dwarven Depths fell chronologically. That helps a lot! If I do a reread I’ll include those in the proper timeline. My copy of that book is signed - I met Hickman in the bookstore I worked out right as that book came out in paperback. I’ll be reading another edition.

@@TheObsessiveBookseller Wow, you met Hickman! I have a feeling he's behind the innocence and Tasslehoff's humour.
Yeah, Dao is another version of Tao, which means "the Way." I don't like how the word crosses into our world, and specifically the Doaist religion. Sort of like the Gospel of Drizzt hehehe. Also, I hope someday I can convince you to skip a whole bunch of Drizzt books haha
Yeah, you could totally read Dwarven Depths right after Autumn Twilight 👍

If you have multiple orders on the way at any given time… you might be a Book Outlet junkie.
If you can recite their best sales promos to anyone who may or may not be interested, and mentally compute their effective rates of discount… you might be a Book Outlet junkie.
If you sneak book boxes out the door before others get home… you might be a Book Outlet junkie.
And if loved ones claim to see a blank wall, where you clearly identify a new book shelf opportunity… you might really be a Book Outlet junkie.
    I dunno personally, I’ve just heard… ya know. Uhhh, who’m I kidding? I need an Intervention… 😬

Check. Check. Check. Check. Haha that was so good! I was thinking about how much time I spend meticulously adjusting the filters on their clunky search features to get just the books I’m interest in, and then how I’m willing to go through 90 pages of options to shop the books. My name is Niki, and I have a problem. I hear they hold meetings on Goodreads.

@@TheObsessiveBookseller have you seen their latest search engine redesign?! I need half a PhD in Web Design to navigate it… eg, Graphic Novels: one section contains just Marvel, while a completely other section includes non-Marvel and SOME Marvel. Huh?😵‍💫
Don’t even get me started on how often the site crashes on my iPhone 🙄
      Still… I can’t tear myself away 🙈
