Thanks for doing this, but I think using the verb "debate" here is a bit of a stretch. Considered getting your cohost to lay off the cannabis edibles before recording? Why not try out a kind of dialogue, Socratic method, dialectic, something along those lines? It's much harder to write, but it's the difference between 30K subscribers and 300K. At some point this approach is not novel enough and you will reach a hard cap in terms of your ability to influence the world for good.
To follow up on this, I hadn't yet gotten to the bit where the other bloke starts talking, presuming you'd talk the entire time rather than going raspy-voiced for long periods. Hmm. I'd say you just need to work them together a bit more in that case, like a conversation rather than a lecture. Good luck, and thanks!
Cosmic panpsychism and monism is the principle of Hindu Vedanta philosophical texts Upanishads and Brahma Sutra. God is not separate in Awaita Vedanta, which is ancient Hindu philosophy. Spinoza might have read the translation of these texts. Spinoza's Ethics reads almost like a Vedantic text.
Exactly thee same here, I didn't even know the meaning, all I knew is that Pantheism is a doctrine, so I did a google search and I found out myself:), I'm a Pantheist, I just found out that:), but I do have deeper and more useful purposeful explanations and just looking for someone who is a good writer as I'm not one of those:(

@@xspice1891 I do not recommend doing it without an experienced guide there in person - at least not at first. Do your research - there are a lot of people who are just in it for the money. The first time I did it, it was at New Life Ayahuasca in Costa Rica. I'm sure there are lots of good outfits out there, but that one is very good. There are analogs to true Ayahuasca. An Atheist comes into the universe, a stranger in a hostile place, and feels they are seperate from it. A Pantheist comes out of the universe, having arrived home, and feels they are a part of it.
Yes, I would further that a pantheist acknowledges the potential and wonder of the universe. And in fact a thing worthy of celebration and awe, a spiritual totality within nature . An atheist feels put upon to a large degree by a hostile universe, somewhat trapped by thoughts of division rather than connection , and often nihilistic compulsions.
It is the 'Ego' that makes you feel you are your own self and separated from the ultimate consciousness. But if you surpassed the Ego you will understand you are part of thre whole which cannot be denied even in law of nature.

Pantheism differs from atheism is that an atheist sees it self apart from the ''all'' and pantheist see him self as part off the ''all'' One big organism
Disagree. You can deny the existence of a theistic god and be a philosophical pantheist at the same time. In fact, I’d argue that many pantheists are secular people who don’t follow religious rituals, despite having an interest in spirituality.
@@typicallymoody I'm not sure I understand your point. I would think denying the existence of a theistic god, in itself is part of Pantheism. In the understanding of the word anyway. I will always, in my personal consciousness refer to a Unity, as the inherent understanding of the word God personifies something we could never comprehend. While there are no specific religious rituals relating to Pantheism, there are avenues some take to bring deeper awareness of the Universe. But that can range from the study of science, different philosophies or religions, meditation, or even drug use. Spirituality itself can simply be seen as the energy that flows through us all or as far as a conscious design that lays out the path we walk.
The atheist doesn't see himself apart from the "all". The conflict just lies in philosophy of mind. Pantheistic views which adopt physicalism or panpsychism (panpsychism accepts physical world as fundamental) are just euphemisms for atheism while Idealistic pantheism differs from atheism.
I understood pantheism faster than I tried to do these last weeks. You made my dissertation easier now that I understood the theory. Thank you so much guys !
@A Wanderer some people would call this entertainment “food for thought” or “intellectual stimulation”. Adopt a calmer approach and be one with yourself and accept things how they are. You will never change that atheism exists. Venting your frustrations like this is not an act of acceptance but rather an act of rejection. Your beliefs are valid. Stand strong in your beliefs like a flower among weeds. Do not hate the weeds for being weeds. They are simply distractions
We are literally in the universe. Our life, our energy, everything we are and everything we have and will ever do makes up the universe. The universe made us. We are all the fabric of the universe. How can that not be God?
The difference is, we don't believe in man-made, magical deities that are in most religions. We just see the universe, reality & nature as "God." We humans see *_us_* as "Gods" (as in, "We are God.")

Pantheism fits well with another belief of mine, the Akashic Records. I thought I was a agnostic for a long time but deep inside myself I knew there was something, something grand, almost karma like, with positive and negative actions and thoughts. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction so to say.
I’m a pantheist because it just makes the most logical and intuitive sense to me when observing and experiencing the natural world. I don’t actually wish to be one, it’s just slightly less depressing than atheism, but I still struggle not to give into nihilism.
I feel like I'm spamming here cos I commented a similar thing to another person, but I feel it's important to pass on the suggestion to read Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramhansa Yogananda, and Be Here Now by Ram Dass. They are two books that helped me figure things out...plus other 'tools' at times! 😄
Same thoughts! It goes so well with Buddhism as the buddha nature is within all of us and the buddhahood state of mind explains as the one who exists in every single atom of the universe simultaneously! So, it tallies with the pantheistic approach also while keeping it secular too! 🥴✌🏻🧬

As a (scientific) pantheist, thank you for this respectful take. When one thinks about God as separate from the creation, it is impossible to fully appreciate the vast and completeness of the creation. If it is two separate things, than God must be far greater (which is still possible with pantheism), and the creation insignificant in comparison. If God is separate, than God is limited, smaller than what could be. But when it is realized that the creation is equal to and combined, it offers an aspect that each is great. And, as individuals, our greatest praise must be to fully appreciate and try to understand the creation as a whole. And our greatest worship, is to participate as part of the creation. Through works that improve (such as thought, exploration, art) and through caring for the creation and it's parts (such as eachother)

@@natmcd4043 Not just like that, is that. My whole basis in it stems from Einstein and his views on energy and monism, but also had my fair share of trips. Welcome to the club 🎉. Happy Journeys Nat. Be happy to talk some pantheism if you ever have the need.
I was an Atheist most of my life, then Agnostic and now a Pantheist. Although the similarities between Atheism & Pantheism are large, I'd argue that the same amount of similarities can be found when comparing Pantheism to any other religious or spiritual belief. And that switching from "God doesn't exist" to "God is everything" is a HUGE psychological leap. As an Atheist, I refused the idea of a spirit, divinity or anything "magical". It could all be explained through science & evolution eventually. Now as a Pantheist I believe there's an almost infinite amount of spirits, divinity is all around me & magical is the only word I could use to describe a conscious Universe and my small part in it. So although the word God is the only thing that separates Atheism & Pantheism linguistically, I believe that one word or belief is what puts Atheism & Pantheism at opposing ends of the spectrum. Atheism being at the bottom with no spiritual beliefs at all & Pantheism at the very top encompassing all spiritual beliefs. I'd like to add and debate that Pantheism is the only decentralized belief. Thanks for video guys! Absolutely brilliant!
@@MrsBridgette2012 Pantheism do not believe in spirit. Maybe Wicca. It is the feeling of love, devotion, and a sense of attachment. It's almost like that but towards the planet. The focus on magic is one of the biggest differences between wicca and paganism.
I've always felt or had this knowing since a very early age. Most anyone having a " psychedelic experience" will easily gain this key of awareness. Everything is connected and alive. Frequency and vibration.
I wouldn't say I adopted the belief, but rather I self-discovered it using my own feelings. I looked around for a word that suited my belief and came across Animism, but now I feel like Pantheism is much closer to my understanding of the universe than Animism.
I’m a pantheist. When you talked about the “hive mind” (11:15), you discounted the way our minds link: we talk to each other. Our thoughts are communicated between each other’s minds through our normal communications channels. A group of people acts very differently than an individual or a simple collection of non-communicating individuals. No magic necessary for this. We have free will. And that will is influenced by everything around us (including other people).
If free will is influenceable then it isn't free will. Just a cog in the machine of long time cause and effect. Every thought is preceded by prior thoughts, actions, environmental factors etc. Free will is an illusion.
We all have desires thoughts ideas...well and good. Nobody can deny that. 2. We are guided by these feelings. 3. If we are conscious and compare different course of actions rationally having due regard to the universal causal links of events , then we are more likely to sift through the competing desires/ideas in order to reach the one among them, which is self-willed. So we have free will. 4. However, if we take things as they come and show reactions to them without taking cognizance of that cause-effect chains behind it, then one could say we are just given to our desires. We have no free will then. We are no less than a madman.
I'm a pantheist. I love explaining how atheism and pantheism are different and I think your points were very accurate. The counter for the belief, claiming a lack of evidence for a greater mind, is valid. I often explain that the consciousness you experience is one way from the greater sum. Much like how a skin cell doesn't know it's you, but it is in fact a part of you.
Pantheism perfectly explains the psychedelic experiences I’ve had. After my first acid trip, I started researching pantheism and it felt like all the puzzle pieces in my brain fell into place perfectly
Yeah me too, but I’m still not entirely sure tbh. I’m definitely not a monotheist, but a lot of my personal experiences point towards pantheism. However there’s another part of me that thinks pantheism is unscientific.

9:00 I saw this during an acid trip where I connected to what I call ‘source energy’. I was looking at a tree and I ‘saw’ a gold filament connected in an infinite web connecting to everything around me. The intensity and thickness of the gold thread that connected each object varies depending on the object. Animals and birds had thicker threads than trees. Tree threads were thicker than those connected to rocks. And all man made objects - a plastic bin/cup etc has an even fainter thread. But absolutely everything was connected. Nothing was separate. My mind was using this image to convey to me the concept that I at the very least sub consciously believe. Everything was one, the universe was all connected and it all connected to me. During that trip I experienced the universe and everything and nothing all at the same time. It was an experience outside of time and space, that my mind could access - i visualised an accordion file containing universes that conveyed to me the idea that there are multiple realities stacked against each other, in a very organised manner. And that there was a thin layer or membrane separating them all. The folder was immensely thick and conveyed to me that the universe files away every single permutation and combination of options for every event. Each of these universes or timelines exists and doesn’t in a way - I suppose like Schrödinger’s cat. There was the everything and the nothing. And we in our file can only see and access what is here and accessible to us in these three dimensional physical bodies. We have a physical limit that prevents us from crossing over and knowing the other universes but our minds can traverse this ‘place’. that brings me to why I consider what I saw a belief and not truth. None of us will ever truly know the answer to if there is a god or not. And that seems to be the point. The visual of the accordion indicated to me the idea that the greater consciousness or source code is taking backups of everything, because it itself isn’t sure which is the best way to ‘evolve’ like this is some program running out every probability and once we play out the entire sequence, the system reboots and the entire process begins again. I sensed that I, we all, have done this infinite times. I felt a sense of ‘here we go again’ and familiarity with everything around me. I saw time as currents, not as a line like we experience it in our physical form or even as a simple cycle. It was wavy, curved, like how the water cycle is a cycle but there are so many ways that water moves through the process. I sensed that what my mind was experiencing- what I called the everywhen and the nowhere - that this was something replicated inside black holes. I experienced synesthesia where sound light and colour were intermingled. I could hear the music of sunlight as it filtered through the leaves. I could ‘see’ the light and colour from the speaker playing music as it came to my ears. I say ‘see’ because I was not seeing these things with my eyes, but with in my mind. I experienced ‘tessellation’ where I saw the membrane between ours and another universe blur and shimmer like a mirage. There was so much more, it’s so hard to explain everything I experienced at that time in a UA-cam comment, but truly it was a divine, spiritual experience that touched my heart deeply. All of these things were all random passing thoughts and ideas I had had prior in life, but the effect of the lsd was to help me clearly visualise what was deep in my mind and heart - and enabled me to understand how I view myself in the grand scale of the universe and understand my place in it. I came out of this experience feeling healed and connected and my depression of over a decade was much improved to the extent that I can say now that I feel mentally healthy and very much at peace internally. It took time for me to reflect on the depth of my visions and understand my feelings about what I saw because truly, it was awesome and the scale of things I saw was beyond what my human mind could easily comprehend. The closest I can describe it is looking at hieroglyphics or cave drawings and trying to decipher what is being conveyed and pricing it all together to allow my conscious mind to connect with these thoughts in a coherent manner. This is why I believe in a pantheistic approach deep within me. I also believe there is no right approach to god, regardless of what the ‘truth’ might be - god to me now is our own personal relationship to the world around us and how it shapes how we conduct ourselves as we move through it and there are as many ways for that to exist as there are people. We only feel excited when we come across someone else that feels similarly because we feel validated, even though we will never truly know and can sometimes be a scary thought so we tend to hold on to it somewhat tightly.
I’ve never smoked/taken drugs/got drunk but comments like this convince me I need to take some sort of hallucinogenic and have this sort of experience before I die.

love this video. im just realizing i’ve been a pantheism for a couple years. i knew the word but didnt know the meaning. this video helped me understand my beliefs and also a few counterpoints i hadn’t considered. thank you for this
I woke one morning with an epiphany that everything from the smallest to the largest, from the smallest insect to largest body in the cosmos are all part of the same,I even remember the dream as I zoomed out from this world and into space as we know it. The one word that woke me that day was “ONE” It was the strangest moment in my life. That day as I looked through the pages of a news paper on my work break the word ‘ONE’ was spread across the pages. I immediately was taken back to my morning epiphany. The article went on to talk about Chinese Taoism, which I read and thoroughly enjoyed as it made sense of what I was feeling. However many years later after forgetting all about that day I find myself here. I still don’t know what it all means but I feel I’m getting somewhere.
Awesome. I like all your videos but the long form ones (over 10 mins) are just great when you get into the actual point / counter-point mode. I was really surprised you went as far as mentioning 'monads' when discussing pantheism. I like that your videos don't leave the viewer in a glib conclusive stance, but in a frame of mind that opens more deeply to further investigation. Keep up the good work.
I had a crisis of personal development in 2020 when my girlfriend kicked me out and I realized I had to work on a lot of stuff. Anxiety was a big thing that I was trying to manage so I started studying stoicism and Taoism. Both helped but I really preferred Taoism because it was a much more carefree and laid-back approach to being present. And it also kind of became My chosen choice of spirituality. Trying to meditate or reflect on it or Read about it was always comforting. But I didn't hold much belief in it particularly being true outside of the fact that everything is energy. I guess part of me still looked at that without assigning any kind of meaning to it and instead just being like "Hey technically the taoists were right" I fell off kind of trying to meditate or study with it much for a while. But then I started getting into using psychedelics to help with mental health. 6 months into that journey and all of a sudden one night I saw God. And God was indeed everything. And I saw everything. The universe, creation, expansion, consciousness. I came out of that trip and all of a sudden everything made sense. I don't just have a sense of what they meant the Tao to be. I now understand it completely. The comparison in this video to atheism is valid with the exception of atheists missing just one thing about that worldview. That existence is divine. It is not just existence as it is, it is being part of something greater than us. A higher power as people like to say. And that doesn't have to be an elderly looking man with a long white beard dressed in some robes. That can be existence. The Bible calls God spaceless and timeless. As is existence. Since that experience not only do I just have this understanding of this concept, but it has been interesting to study religion in general. As at the very least my mind is much more open to the concept of God.
I think you are spot on with your thoughts on Pantheism. Everything has consciousness but at different levels. We have two types of consciousness whilst alive and come death we gradually lose our Earthly consciousness and continue with our universal consciousness.
I experienced a full blown ego-death epiphany one night in my early 20s while (to put it mildly) contemplating the cosmos and searching for God. I didn't expect the moment to happen. I didn't ask for it to happen. In my solitude I often gaze at the stars, and I often get lost. But something strange happened that night. I began looking inward and outward simultaneously with more intensity than I have before or since; and for a fleeting moment in my contemplations I was suddenly found. For a mere 30 seconds I became wrapped in a warm blanket of infinite compassion, understanding, and power. In a brief and beautiful moment I fully realized how small I am, how large everything is, and how special and rare life is. An understanding of epic proportion swelled over me so profoundly that I openly wept when it flooded my mind. I felt an acute connection to everything all at once. The emotion of such a feeling was too much to contain. I wept, I laughed. I begged forgiveness That fleeting instance was burned into my brain, and then it was gone as soon as it came on. It took me days to recover, and years to digest. As wonderful as that moment was, I am still frightened of it to this day. However, the notions I came away with post-experience ended up being point-for-point systematically covering nearly everything mentioned in this video. I didn't realize the notions I formed over a decade ago even had a name until tonight. Pantheism! Even more so, I didn't realize how long these notions have been around. I am truly in awe that others have also come to this conclusion without ever having heard it before. What a grand and logical theism. Beautiful in its simplicity, incomprehensibly large in its implications.
Beautifully explained 😊 thanks please make more content on pantheism, athesim. The totality will always set you free.instead of denying things accept them as they are ,and then find the truth, the best way of finding the trui is always through, and never by running away from realities.
This is same as Advaita Hindu Philosophy and Upanishads. One can realize supreme consciousness thru various means - meditation being one. The fourth state (Turiya) is where one can realize - but not many people can reach that state.

I absolutely LOVE the way these videos are made. So simple and so respectful. Both sides make the strongest arguments for their POV but I love that the Truth, the argument made on the left, allows the opposition to speak his arguments first before disassembling it logically. I love that the person who knows they are right is so respectful and patient. If only these conversations would happen like this in real life
They could happen in real life, and often, they do. The problem is that most of what is shown to the masses is the complete opposite to encourage more divisiveness. I think tribalism is genuinely the cause because it is easier to control smaller groups. Progress is not had by dividing people but by bringing them together to have logical debates.
Bernardo Kastrup has some interesting ideas on why we feel like individual people having our own experiences. It's because, in a way, we are, while still being part of a universal consciousness. This is possible because our role within the universal consciousness is something like being an isolated personality in a brain with multiple-personality disorder. We experience reality as an individual "alter," which is different from anyone else's experience of reality, and yet we're all part of the same brain, or consciousness.
Each religion shows a pixel of God. Pantheism zooms out and takes the picture to call it God. Individual God in each religion is like picking up rock and calling it earth.
That approach sounds nice, but it doesn’t hold water when scrutinized. Every religion’s conception of God is completely disparate in terms of origins and character traits. Why would you assume that all religions contain elements of truth? What if they are all incorrect?
Thanks for the video and the discussions. It was a great opportunity to explore some thought-provoking ideas. I really enjoyed it and it gave me a lot to think about.

I only recently realized I was pantheistic (about three years ago). I'm also mildly existentialist. I feel my duty is to define me, be it and report back to the the universe what I learned trying to be me. ...Or not. Which makes me also agnostic on a number of levels. ...I think...
I have come to this same conclusion, in a roundabout way, by reading as many versions of the Tao Te Ching as I could find. NOT TAOISM. Taoism is yet another religion trying to explain things they don't understand. Reading the Tao on its own, without commentary's, inevitably led me to this beautiful concept, which I now discover is called Pantheism.
I did not know I was a pantheist when I had a near death experience (NDE) and obtained this knowledge. I believe that most NDEers would label themselves as pantheists if they understood the meaning.

I am one of those and have changed my beliefs since that day.. I am most definitely a pantheist ( just now discovered there is a name to my personal philosophy lol)
This is very close to understand the Law of One. Throughout the age's we have been giving truth, but it has been kept under a veil. In an Infinite Creator the Creator can be both outside and what Creation is. Because that is also what it means to be Infinite. We might be only aware of a fraction of what truly exists.
im a pantheist. because i need to believe something, i cant comprehend that everything was created just because, and this to me is the best reason. there has to be something, that’s what leads me into pantheism
@@redx11x Kind of. I can’t really describe properly why I’m a Pantheist, it’s really hard. “There has to be something” is the phrase that helps me most
I was an Atheist a few years ago. Science was my answer to anything and everything. I was going trough a tough time and a few friends of mine got me to try LSD. I dont know why i just accepted (i didnt do drugs back then). Itmade me think more about me and my situation, where i am in life and where i want to go. After a few trips i had somethin akin to an ego death. I could define the border between myself, my body, the trees and the ground. After the effects wore off i started to understand what i had felt in that moment. Unity. I talked to atheists and religous people alike and found that theres nothing really seperating them in the fundamental parts of their world views. If you relize that science is just theories built on more theories built on subjective observation, there is nothing prohibiting god. All the core physical attributes we attribute to god are present in the universe itself. I for my part just added god into the equation in a way that doesnt change anything.
Growing up as a Christian, I've started naturally gravitating towards pantheism. If you do some searching, you will see there is a spooky correlation between the human brain and the cosmic web. When I found this out, I started taking into consideration on the verse "let us make man in our image". Some interpret that as just sharing the same emotions as God. However, the brain is mostly responsible for giving us those emotions that God allegedly experiences. Just food for thought.
Gospel of Thomas, Jesus said, “the Kingdom of God is all around us, if you split a piece of wood, you will find me. Lift a stone, I am there” Almost sounds like pantheism.

I’m a pantheist, I view the universe as the creation. I view the singularity as the creator. I also feel that without intelligent life and consciousness the Universe would not be able to contemplate itself or have reason for existence. I don’t think humans or any intelligent life are special in any other way other than to have the ability to observe and comprehend. In essence intelligent life is just a synapse of a Universe that is connected to everything everywhere. I am thankful that I have had the opportunity to observe and contemplate. At the end I may even comprehend. This is my belief and it doesn’t require anyone to share it, though it brings me a great comfort. I am nature, I am the universe as I am of the fabric of Universe. I am fundamental particles arranged in a state that gives the Universe consciousness. My unique consciousness is so mathematically unlikely that it verges on the precipice of oblivion. Maybe in the end when the last black hole dies and lights up the universe nothing will matter, not even matter. Or maybe when the Universe collapses and time itself ends the Universe will be reborn and time will continue. Right now those questions would be akin to asking a leaf what the sun is made of. I will contemplate myself until I return to the stars.
One fateful night, I literally kneeled by my bedside (I was an agnostic, but feeling lost) and I prayed to ??? and, somehow through that, came to become a Pantheist without even having known this term. After speaking to a friend about my beliefs, he told me the name of my belief: Pantheism, and now I've just been binging research on Pantheism XD
My version of panpsychism goes like this: humans are conscious as we know a priori, and this consciousness, and the only thing that seems special about the human brain is that is a complex and (relatively) closed system. All complex systems then, could be conscious in varying degrees based on their complexity. The consciousness of the human brain is entirely emergent, build with different rules and different mechanics
One thing most people don't really realize is that there are different types of pantheists. The naturalist/scientific Pantheists are Atheists in all but name. Basically, it's just Atheism but with Religious and Spiritual language thrown in. The other kind is the New Age Pantheist which sees God as a type of mystical energy that permeates throughout the entire universe and that we are all part of this energy called God. These two types of Pantheists have radically different worldviews and such. Their only overlap is they see everything as connected. The New Age Pantheists generally believe in reincarnation and karma and psychic abilities and such. The naturalistic pantheists don't believe in any of that. It's just kind of interesting how they are almost opposites yet both use the same term.
Love this tbh, i believe I never knew the term to what I believe - and also, we definitely share consciousness. In fact, dogma is what Steve Jobs spoke about --- how our thoughts are effected by those around us. Also, telepathy is something I sometimes think of a lot, and I believe just like Albert Einstein thought "A person starts living when he can live outside himself" -- sometimes, i feel that some of my thoughts are originating from someone else besides myself and not just from myself. On another hand, religion says that Judas was destined to fail Jesus. It was destined, so where is there true will there, or maybe it is the intention theory that tricked him into doing so. We are humans, we will never really know. I stopped asking these questions at 16 and got back to them recently. I think we are part of consciousness, and when you are aligned with it and if you work on a high frequency and you are dealing with people with awareness, you manifest exactly what you want - the universe listens to you - God listens to you.

Not just LSD for me it was various experiences in university that I feel like I could only attribute to God, I've been visiting various churches and temples, to get closer to that notion. I've seen the results, God is real, God is everywhere, God is you.
Simply through life experiences, I think the universe has consciousness and is God, i’m still a believer in Christianity and man’s connections over millions of years with God. I just believe God is the universe with consciousness, and our spirit has always existed, and always will along with the universe
I think I've been a pantheist for a while now. I believe in it because the idea of varying levels of consciousness, and consciousness on a cellular level makes sense. The argument against collective consciousness (what I interpreted from the video) saying that if it was so, wouldn't we be more interconnected? I think we already are deeply interconnected. Everything we experience, others experience and the nature of our language and the connections we are able to develop with others seems to show our collectivity. Also, I think that gives reason to why our language is different from animal communication.
I have recently found myself driven to research philosophy. I have had no interest in the subject previously and today I’ve been getting a strange vibe, like there is a partial idea forming in my mind like a half remembered dream. This vibe led me here. I haven’t watched the video yet.
Wow. The universe seems to have nudged me in this direction. This all seems very obvious to me. People ask for signs of god, there are signs all around. If you want to follow a religion to give it a cultural flavour, that’s fine. All religions say that god is everything and everywhere. When Jesus said he was god he wasn’t wrong. Hindus believe gods reside in cows, this is also correct. Monotheistic religions never give the name of god. They use ‘the almighty’’the holiest ‘’king of kings’ this is so you don’t create a false idol (idea) in your mind of what god is. God can’t be compartmented into a name (a recognised material form) or an idea. God is also all of the ideas. I feel I need to say something more but 4 dimensional thinking is difficult to translate and I fear it will be misunderstood.
One idea: our minds communicate with each other through normal communication. We talk. We call for our dog. Birds sing. These things all influence the actions of the other entities around us. No supernatural web. Just a super, natural web.
11:14 The individual is sharing conscious experiences right as he talks, we call that 'communication'. Two or more creatures indulging in communication is like electrical messages being sent from one synapse in the brain to another, bringing another thought into being.
Do not trust your perceptions. Perceptions are flawed. - Quantum physics 🌟✨ What we see is not the reality! The appearance is mistaken. Thus, there are two truths of the same reality we live in: the conventional truth (that we see and experience) & the ultimate truth (that we are seeking in actuality as the end goal). I think Dante had it right…different dimensions in God. I believe angels exist and prayers/thoughts are caught in dimensions and a response occurs. God goes way beyond Pantheism which is external. God goes internally and is personal. If Pantheism dictates that God is all, then why is God not internal? I have experienced 2 phenomenal miracles that had to have been planned elsewhere, but they were for me and the animals that I prayed for. God is all and not limited as really described by Pantheism.
I lean towards Panentheism over Pantheism... the concept that what we could label as God has minfested it's self into the universe and all forms of consciousness with in it but that God is something that transcends all of this....
Pantheism ties in with infinity.. Everything in existence has a measurement of its intelligence.. that leads to infinity. Everything has an origin with an infinite potential.
I always believed that monotheism share some of the beliefs of pantheism. The Bible for instance does make a case for a single god with pantheistic qualities.
Christianity in a sense, put me on the path to pantheism. It wasn't till years later that I discovered it, but I believe there is truth everywhere, and the Universe speaks to us constantly, through many things when we are ready to see and learn it.
While Buddhism goes perfectly along with pantheism as I've studied it in great detail in depth and systematically since a decade! 🥲👌🏻 It's all about study, reflection, and habituation / meditation on self and all phenomena ✨🌟🌱🧬
For years and years i tried reaching out for help and guidance and i never seemed to get answers, but the universe always spoke when id least expect it, i had no idea it had a name to it. I believe in Pantheism. Universe=God Prayer=Manifestation?
I see the difference between atheism and Pantheism as your belief in the power the “universe” can have on your life. A great example of this is the law of attraction. With the law of attraction it is believe that putting out positive and good intentions into the universe and focusing on that attracts those things into your life. The energy we put out reacts to the energy of the universe to help us achieve our goals. This is what Pantheism is! An atheist believes in nothing. They don’t believe in any power a god or the universe can have on our lives, things just happen for no rhyme or reason. Other then our physical actions in the real world there is no way to send out intentions into the universe to help benefit yourself. At least this is what I personally believe.
Love this. An additional argument for this can be made around the physical Peculiarities of having one's corpus colossum severed, it gives rise to the question of perception of reality VS reality. How can any person know the consciousness of another? They can't, when the corpus coliseum is severed this becomes very evident. To me, pantheism is pure belief and all other religions are just a selling of belief for followers. And in a weird twist pantheism doesn't care if you believe it just like God.

An atheist however comes into the universe/existence out of the universe/existing things. Its no different, just different language
Yes, I would further that a pantheist acknowledges the potential and wonder of the universe. And in fact a thing worthy of celebration and awe, a spiritual totality within nature
. An atheist feels put upon to a large degree by a hostile universe, somewhat trapped by thoughts of division rather than connection , and often nihilistic compulsions.

Pantheism differs from atheism is that an atheist sees it self apart from the ''all'' and pantheist see him self as part off the ''all''

Disagree. You can deny the existence of a theistic god and be a philosophical pantheist at the same time. In fact, I’d argue that many pantheists are secular people who don’t follow religious rituals, despite having an interest in spirituality.
@@typicallymoody yeah that's me
@@typicallymoody I'm not sure I understand your point.
@@typicallymoody nope. Pantheism and atheism are mutually exclusive.

Absolutely brilliant!
we went through the same exact spiritual journey
Your post should say "the dissimilarities between atheism and pantheism are large"
Your assertion that the word "God is the only thing that separates atheism and pantheism linguistically" is false.
So do you pray, or talk to the spiritual world? But not like expecting life to go a certain way because you prayed, or expressed your hopes.
That’s very interesting, I never thought about it like that.
Just like neurons in a brain.
If free will is influenceable then it isn't free will. Just a cog in the machine of long time cause and effect. Every thought is preceded by prior thoughts, actions, environmental factors etc. Free will is an illusion.
@@DatKiddLj Free Will might be an illusion, might I'm happy to be alive at least.
Exactly my same experience
Drugs are great for this!

Thank you for this write up.

Thank you very much, happy to hear you enjoy the content!
I guess part of me still looked at that without assigning any kind of meaning to it and instead just being like "Hey technically the taoists were right"
I fell off kind of trying to meditate or study with it much for a while.
I have been looking for a word or a title for my beliefs . Thank you . 💜
You're welcome, hope you enjoyed the video.
Atheists live in a constant state of denial...appeals to negative minded people
This is same as Advaita Hindu Philosophy and Upanishads. One can realize supreme consciousness thru various means - meditation being one. The fourth state (Turiya) is where one can realize - but not many people can reach that state.
I’m glad I know this exist now

A religion that takes less than a paragraph to convince you... I'm in. I like it. Great video guys!.
I’m so happy I just discovered my belief had a name! I have closure!
Each religion shows a pixel of God. Pantheism zooms out and takes the picture to call it God. Individual God in each religion is like picking up rock and calling it earth.
Great explanation!! I fully understand it! 👏👏👏
That approach sounds nice, but it doesn’t hold water when scrutinized. Every religion’s conception of God is completely disparate in terms of origins and character traits.
Why would you assume that all religions contain elements of truth? What if they are all incorrect?

I only recently realized I was pantheistic (about three years ago). I'm also mildly existentialist. I feel my duty is to define me, be it and report back to the the universe what I learned trying to be me. ...Or not. Which makes me also agnostic on a number of levels. ...I think...
Yea, I’ve given up on existentialism, it’s too much focused on beliefs of the rational mind only
I have come to this same conclusion, in a roundabout way, by reading as many versions of the Tao Te Ching as I could find.
NOT TAOISM. Taoism is yet another religion trying to explain things they don't understand.
Reading the Tao on its own, without commentary's, inevitably led me to this beautiful concept, which I now discover is called Pantheism.

Therefore god is eternal.

I almost died when I was in my early teens, shit crazy fr i came to this realization without knowing what pantheism is
This is very close to understand the Law of One. Throughout the age's we have been giving truth, but it has been kept under a veil. In an Infinite Creator the Creator can be both outside and what Creation is. Because that is also what it means to be Infinite. We might be only aware of a fraction of what truly exists.

I for my part just added god into the equation in a way that doesnt change anything.
ive been confused all my life.. thanks to this.
Lift a stone, I am there”
Almost sounds like pantheism.
Christianity is just Greek Pantheism mixed with Judaism,
There is a subtle but important difference between god being ‘in” everything and god “being” everything. Pantheism proposes the latter.

Amazingly well-explained and summarized, thank you.
Glad you enjoyed :)
Very good explanation of panthiesm, but i would think that everything can have infinite consciousness when it realizes its godness
Very nicely done. Especially making the necessary connection between pantheism and panpsychism to differentiate pantheism from atheism.
Thank you :D
You're so good at explaining things. Pantheism is definitely fascinating.

14 Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out,
15 And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:
16 Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.
17 Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.
Acts 17:24-31 God Is There and Reachable
24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.
30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

So happy to have found this video and finally be able to put a name to what I believe
acid led me to pantheism. or advaita vedanta. the moment i fully absorbed that everything is ONE thing, everything finally made sense.
Really that is interesting on LSD you can see the universe breathing.
Not just LSD for me it was various experiences in university that I feel like I could only attribute to God, I've been visiting various churches and temples, to get closer to that notion. I've seen the results, God is real, God is everywhere, God is you.
It's interesting how a drug can make something like a religion, make more sense just by an act of extraordinary.
Simply through life experiences, I think the universe has consciousness and is God, i’m still a believer in Christianity and man’s connections over millions of years with God. I just believe God is the universe with consciousness, and our spirit has always existed, and always will along with the universe
Pantheists matter ! Or should I say Pantheists/Matter ? Get it ?
@IZ Digital Piano And all threw time.
I believe it's not a hive mind. It's a dissociative experience of one large consciousness/universe.
One idea: our minds communicate with each other through normal communication. We talk. We call for our dog. Birds sing. These things all influence the actions of the other entities around us. No supernatural web. Just a super, natural web.
that’s a really good way to put it
This was great video i really appreciate it and the fact that you took time to elaborate and state feelings of both sides. Deserves props.
Glad you enjoyed :)
Wow...very well explained 👏🏻🌟
Thanks 😊
11:14 The individual is sharing conscious experiences right as he talks, we call that 'communication'. Two or more creatures indulging in communication is like electrical messages being sent from one synapse in the brain to another, bringing another thought into being.
Thank youuu!! This video is awesome.
You're very welcome.
Loved the video, would’ve also been interested in a short segment on the Fibonacci sequence and the golden ratio.
This is really the only thing that makes sense
Do not trust your perceptions. Perceptions are flawed.
- Quantum physics 🌟✨
What we see is not the reality! The appearance is mistaken.
Thus, there are two truths of the same reality we live in: the conventional truth (that we see and experience) & the ultimate truth (that we are seeking in actuality as the end goal).
Keep exploring and studying 🥲🌱✌🏻
I think Dante had it right…different dimensions in God. I believe angels exist and prayers/thoughts are caught in dimensions and a response occurs.
God goes way beyond Pantheism which is external. God goes internally and is personal. If Pantheism dictates that God is all, then why is God not internal?
I have experienced 2 phenomenal miracles that had to have been planned elsewhere, but they were for me and the animals that I prayed for.
God is all and not limited as really described by Pantheism.
Psychedelics brought me here.
I was a hard-core atheist until DMT. Pantheism now seems like the logical answer for me.
My question is how does change emerge from an unchanging substance? Was there a first instance of change? Or is change an illusion.
I lean towards Panentheism over Pantheism... the concept that what we could label as God has minfested it's self into the universe and all forms of consciousness with in it but that God is something that transcends all of this....
@A Wanderer the fact? What's is this fact?
It's all about study, reflection, and habituation / meditation on self and all phenomena ✨🌟🌱🧬
Pantheism is the only thing I found to be more logically sound than Nihilism, I'm glad it feels like I can't go back :)
Try to learn more about Penentheism, especially Panendeism.
It makes sense to me.
Me too. It makes sense to me than any religion. Its the most logical explanation.
For years and years i tried reaching out for help and guidance and i never seemed to get answers, but the universe always spoke when id least expect it, i had no idea it had a name to it. I believe in Pantheism. Universe=God
Prayer=Manifestation?
As a kid I had no idea other people shared "panthiestic view" in 2002 when I first saw an oxygen atom. It clicked almost immediately
“Yes”
“Great”
“Interesting”
“Very Interesting!”
I can't help but think this would be better if this guy were more than this ...
