He (the director) HAD to say that she had nothing to do with the inception on Mamá Coco because they would have had to include her in the royalties...they didn't want to pay her more than 10 pesos... something like 50-55 cents in US money.
I totally agree - if they ever did admit to it, they'd have no choice but to pay the royalties 🥲 Highly doubt that will ever happen 🫢 At the very least, her family has been able to create an entire business out of it, so thats a definite positive 🙌🙏

My husband is from Michoacan and I wish we stopped in Santa Fe la Laguna. We went to Patzcuaro and Tzintzuntzan and Quiroga last year. Next time we fly into Morelia and drive down to Apatzingan we will have to stop.
