Hi, I tried with different versions of techstream, and when I click on the smartkey, the utility button is missing. My cable version is 1.4.1, is it possible that the cable version is the problem?
This was a great video walkthrough. I purchased the software and cable for a 2016 RAV4 Hybrid XLE on Amazon and was provided a code for my version. The fob was programmed successfully but the trunk button was not working. Have you had any issues with this or know of a solution?
I figured out why the trunk button doesn't work. Apparently there's 2 versions of the key fob. One is made specifically for Japanese built cars and the other is for non-Japanese built cars. If your VIN starts with "J", that means it was built in Japan. Originally, I had purchase a 2018 RAV4 Smart Key fob (part # 89904-52290) that has a matching "G" circuit board thinking all RAV4 keys for 2018 are the same. However, my hybrid RAV4 was built in Japan and has its own part # 89904-42070. So now everything works fine with the new key.

Get the FCC ID from back of your FOB and buy the same number from Ebay make sure is brand new or program to be virgin, again if is already program with other cars "used one" and not re-program back to virgin it will not work.

If the fob turn on the car is master key, any fob that turn on the car is master.
