Pat so right about just not letting people play if they don’t follow rules. So simple.
The worst part about these debates is that everyone forgets where their paychecks are coming from. The viewer experience should be the #1 priority and EVERYONE in the league should be doing everything in their power to make the game more enjoyable to watch so the league continues to exist and new sponsors want come in. Sacrificing the viewer experience to make the game 4% more competitive is so stupid and shows why this league is struggling

Parasite is so right. I’m sick of the pros just refusing to adapt to anything new or attempt any change. I don’t even understand it do they enjoy playing with the same 2 guns the whole game cycle? Same 2 tacticals? Only 1 perk combo? Just so lame, accuracy was literally the embodiment of that this episode. Ntm cod is just the only esport that does this.

I don't remember when it happened - probably the switch to PC, but everyone always knew that CoD wasn't a competitive game, was designed for consoles and controllers, and was run by devs that used to be the trolls you pubstomp against. The point is to make it fun to watch so it stays a league worthy of viewership. We know the devs don't care about any of it. If the players don't want to make the game more engaging for viewers then they are their own worst enemy when it comes to the downfall of the scene.

Aches is absolutely right. “Casual players” are not going to have their experience ruined by adding a cool down to crouching to stop snaking. If someone is snaking and has cracked movement that would be ruined by a cool down I would argue they are not a casual player. Everyone likes to try hard and play competitively in call of duty but then when you bring up the fact they are trying hard they pretend like they are casually playing.

remember in bo3 when you put on cwl snd or hp in custom gbs it restricted certain items and attachments and character abilities, you could easily add ats to those restrictions but nowadays we dont even have those cwl mode customs
you can restrict ATS in private match....
Didn’t Cold War have that snaking patch where you couldn’t snake and there would be a cooldown and then the pros didn’t like it and it just got reverted back

To me it just makes no sense that the pros get to decide what gets banned and what stays. There’s no way the competitors should be the ones making the rules for the league. I get it’s gonna be hard to get the right people in that spot but if teams are gonna ban something that’s not in there favor they shouldn’t be in that seat making that decision. It’s crazy at this point idk what’s worse the cod devs or the ga chat

I think the size of prize pools and the fragility of the league have contributed to the current state of how things are (win at all cost mindset of a lot of the pros).
The current GA system clearly doesn’t work. There’s a need for GA’s to be integrated into the official rules and for dev intervention to address snaking.
Must be a better way than GA’s for the entire comp scene being decided by a shady group chat on twitter, where half the decisions either haven’t been tested or don’t seem to make sense. We’ve seen multiple times how the pros backtrack as soon as public opinion puts pressure on certain GA’s, the system is broken

A slow down in the crouch stops it immediately, maybe 200ms to crouch 300 to stand up again on first crouch action, then an extra 50 ms added to each if repeated within 5 seconds on the same spot, or not repositioning...
GA decision making should be outsourced to an unbiased party. Have them monitor scrims etc.

@@xTheHairyPalmx I'm aware lol. I'm half joking, but GA's are literally things agreed upon by players (gentlemen) to not use. If we are going to make it more official, having people other than players do it then they might as well be implemented into the official ruleset as bias will be removed and ensuring things are followed will be easier in the official ruleset - obviously limiting how many tactical, trophies can be used is much more challenging but possible with developers help (which we won't get).

One point that I was waiting for these guys to make about the GA chat is that it took a Flank episode for them to GA the freaking M4 last year. Gun was an absolute joke and these guys were running 8 ARs on the map. Something as blatantly broken as the M4 took outside involvement to finally get GA'd. Anything outside the normal GA's stand no chance.

They don’t even need to add a delay, all the have to do is make the crouching and prone animation take a little longer, that way you can still snake but it’s less effective and means you can get zapped if someone is holding irons at the heady.

Pros need to start breaking every GA if one gets broken if u can't support the structure its gonna crumble. And if it's broken that obviously that individual will be labeled as scum and hopefully no one plays with scum ever again cuz it's what it deserves
A big problem is the players make all the say in whats ga'd and whats not. Anytime a team finds something new that works. Instead of adapting and figuring out a way around it. Its just them running to the ga chat. In what other franchise of sports do players control everything that is and isnt allowed. I think players have too much control and we need a team, like they talked about, to control what can be used. The players shouldnt have 100%of the say of what can/cant be used. They cater to what works best for them imstead of learning how to adapt and become a better team
