Hey gang, I had other things planned instead of this video but the weather didn't allow for it. I figured that I may as well swap out the crystal of my SNKE51! Come watch!

1. Car's clutch died. Replacing on Wednesday. 1600 dollars (ACT Stage 1, street flywheel, everything cleaned, seals and bearings replaced)
2. Jury Duty summons. Just great.
3. Dentist. Filling replacement, nice.
4. Oh look, Car registration is due. Super rad
5. Hey now, Motorcycle safety inspection is due. Sweet.
One time long ago, I went to a girl's house party. There wasn't a whole lot of people and we all knew each other. Still, we raged!
There was a girl who was hanging on to me all night. Then another girl started getting close. I was like "THE GAME IS AFOOT". They were both vying for my attention and I loved every fucking second of it. lol. We all got drunker and drunker and things started getting crazy. I don't remember much else from that night after that...
The next morning, I woke up in bed with the second girl. In the bed next to us was the first girl and the second girl's boyfriend. We both (other due) woke up at the same time, looked at each-other and said "OHH SHIT" silently. We exited the room quickly and I told him I was sorry for banging his girlfriend. He said something like "I'm in trouble, I banged her best friend".
They were best friends. OOOPS.

Collwyn Jones With you on that. Replaced the battery successfully in a Swiss Military and cracked the sapphire crystal pressing the case back on - doh! I could see me cracking a new crystal while pressing it into the case.

Awesome, I'm slowly getting the urge to sapphire all the things but I need to practise on my used cheap seiko 5, I'll end up pressing the crystal dome into the case or the wrong way all together.
I practiced on a busted up Seiko 5 first. It's a good idea. Have patience, get the right tools, prepare and take your time! You got this! Once you do it, you'll be like "well that was easy".

Im new to the mod scene for Seiko 5s. I love all your vids. Question because I never heard you say this. Do all Seiko 5s dials fit any case size? I want to do a dial swap but im not sure what route to go with. Id also love a tip on what time I can buy stock dials from. I found 1 but only had a few legit dials.

All my new Sea-gull watches have Sapphire crystals.
My vintage watches all have acrylic.
So less to worry about.
Acrylic polishes up easily with polywatch. Cheap to buy and replace too.
I was given a Seiko with a hardlex crystal and scratched it badly within 6 weeks. I don't use it in case I scratch it again.
I will get a Sapphire fitted soon.
Your mods take less expensive watches over the top. Really looks great I want one now lol.

I dropped my beloved Seiko 5 SNZH57K1 from about 5.5 ft.!! The glass is all scratched up and the seconds hand just swings around. I feel so stupid for the way I hung it on the coat hanger. 😞 I hope it can still be saved. They're not selling this model anymore. 😖

I have a citizen divers but citizen tells me the model does not come with sapphire only hardlex.

What do you think would look better on a turtle X padi with pepsi bezel, double domed, extreme double domed, top hat ? also the AR, since the dial is blue should I go blue and maybe lose a little bit of the red of my minute hand or maybe purple so it play well with the red and the blue ?

How do you get the crystal, only saying the brand and model of the watch or you must say the diameter, height...?
How much do you press to insert the new glass? I have a screw press, I think I should press until pressure needed become very big zn glass do not longer moves.
