I know, right! The struggle with coding can be so real sometimes! It's like a rollercoaster of emotions-some days you feel like you're conquering the world, and others, it's just.... I don't know if I will ever get comfortable with it, but I haven't coded a chart yet. We shall see how it goes!

My pick is Risk Adjustment Coding because some of those roles are not full code capture. This means you're only dealing with the HCC Risk Ajustment model for Commercial and Medicare insurance holders. RA model CDPS for Medicaid Insurance holders. The best part is that you're only dealing with the ICD-10-CM code set.
Hun, i've coded VA charts. The CPH is 1.87 girl charts are such a messsss! The highest CPH I've had thus far is 8.64. Those charts are a mixture of small (1 page) and large (200 pages)
Do y’all ever get massive charts from 500-3000 pages? Cuz 200 pages is a breeze. I do risk adjustment and lemme tell ya, our charts are ridiculous this week!! Everything in the thousands! I can’t wait til sweeps is over this Friday!
@@zabrinatoney6828Yes we do get very large chart. The biggest I've see was 6600 pages. However I've heard a coder say they have had 10,000 page hospital chart! It also depends on the project(or payer) we are coding for. They cam get ridiculous LOL Sweeps is crazy!
@@Mimi-hn6ivVery Slowy LOL Seriously, You take one encounter or dare of service at a time. It took me 9 days to complete a 6600 page chart. My cph(charts per hour) was trash, but that's to be expected with that large of a chart in my que.
@@iamshe3275 right! When that’s all in queue, you just take it one encounter or DOS at a time. When I have a mixture of big and small, I alternate and chip away at larger charts throughout the week. During Overtime, I work extremely large charts on the weekend because it doesn’t count against our stats/CPH
