My favorite teeny-tiny detail is at 3:45 where when Crookedstar taps Leopardstar’s forehead and there is no sparkle whereas for all the others there is one. It brings me to one of my favorite lines in Leopardstar’s Honor - “Maybe Crookedstar gave me all I needed in life,” after she didn’t get a life from him at her leader ceremony. It’s so hidden but also so sweet.

FRR as much as Leopardstar's honor contradicted a lot of main arc writing, seeing her and Crookedstar's relationship was so wholesome. Idk if the detail was intentional or not, but regardless it's def a cool one !

The way it says "my *mother* says your whole life's in the hand of God" referencing that Yellowfang is Brokentail's mother??? I love it. And the difference between Brambleberry saying it as in "you'll be okay, StarClan is with you" and then Yellowfang says it as "you will get what you deserve, StarClan will judge you"

20 freaking years and this community still leaves me impressed and amazed by the sheer amount of talent and commitment this book series has done to everyone that has read it. AND EVERYONE THAT HAS PARTICIPATED IN THIS DID AMAZING!

I honestly cannot fathom how this fandom of battle cats turned out to be one of the most hard working communities I have ever seen. The amount of sheer effort put into this single video is so insane and really captures how much hard work and love goes into the Warriors series from the fans alone. I personally even think the community has put in more hard work to make fan projects than it ever took to create the books. (Not to downplay the work of the writers.) The participants of maps and all of the collaborators and editors etc. etc. deserve so much more than just the pats on the back that each comment gives them! I wish I could watch every single animation on each panel of this map at once because I know how long it takes to make a single frame. Everyone did absolutely amazing and I wish I could do more than just write a comment!

This feels like a tribute to every kid that grew up reading Warriors and playing cats with their friends. A tribute to the series and its fandom as a whole. I can't believe how emotional I got watching this...but in a way it feels like I watched a montage of my childhood.
I started crying. Is it just em or when you were younger did people ever wish they were in the story , like creating their own lore and character. Or was I just crazy? It sparked so many memories !
It isss, I follow up with the warrior cats books up to Omen of the stars and Dawn of the clans. I have some special stories like Bluestar's profecy and some mini novels. I left the fandom after that, I kind of grew out of it (not really, never) but for me the saga of my childhood ended when Firestar died. This project stuck to the main plot, while speaking mostly about the clan leaders in a way that allowed me, someone who never delved into sidestories too much, to relive my hours upon hours of reading these books

i am so obsessed with the detail at 5:03 with the skies behind nightstar being clouded over since he wasn't granted nine lives by starclan, and the backgrounds for brokenstar and tigerstar being completely starless since they ended up in the dark forest, i love this map so much

Notice something else, Nightstar as least has a MOON in his sky, the dark forest leaders have absolutely nothing but clouds.

I think its extremely fitting and moving that Starclan's Chosen is premiered 5 years to the day that the Five Giants Map came out. I remember the day that Map premiered like it was yesterday and just goes to show how far the community has progressed and matured over the past half decade! StarClan's Chosen IS this generations Five Giants

oh my gosh this was increidble! i had to rewatch this 100 times in order to see and appreciate every single individual part!! its amazing how much the wc community can do, its always so inpsiring and motivating! everyone here is a super star! this was so amazing, seeing all the animators i would watch when i was little and how much they have improved...! its really so inspiring to see how everyone in this community kept on growing and growing until they came together to create something amazing! every single part has so much work and love put into it, its so beautiful... i cant wait to rewatch this 100 more times! every single person who worked on this map deserves the highest praises i wish i could deposit my thoughts directly onto text to do so!!!

@@jasperzatch610 yes. I very vividly remember that part of the book. "All of that was wasted now....Thanks to Tigerstar." Firestar was pretty visibly upset by the death. Not quite to this degree, but more so pissed off and angry and enraged as well as devastated.

I love how blackstar says "angry at all things I can't change" because he has made a lot of bad choices but still treated his clan very well and was doing the best for his clan.

Oh you're right! You can even see his pupils flitting about in sync with the fighting as if he's actually watching it happen
And then some years later he became one of the worse leaders of windclan
I just noticed how in the end, Bluestar in the border part is actually looking down on Firestar and watching his battle with Tigerstar. Initially she looks fearful and her eyes are darting back and forth to follow the fight, but then once Firestar lands a hit, she smiles and looks after him proudly, and then she assumes a calmer expression when Tigerstar dissolves. This is so cool; every individual part looked great on its own, but seeing them together like this just gives it a whole new meaning.
I noticed that to, there are so many small details in this video that ive rewatched it so many times just to see them
@@Joshdaly1 Yeah, you notice something new every time! I just love the precision of the timing in making the events from different panels match up.
a lot of these border parts have those details! you can see some cats glancing to other cats or the big panels and reacting!

@@IronycheinPain I found it really interesting that it's TIGERSTAR who said "nothing has changed, He is the same." as that could be a number of things behind it: he could be talking about StarClan themselves, he could be talking about Blackstar himself, he could be talking about just THINGS in general always being the same.
And yet in the WindClan scene, I think that's Windstar saying it, while Tallstar stays silent, looking at the fight with a stony expression, until Onestar drowns them both then he holds his head up. Almost like he was wondering if he had made the right choice in picking Onestar over Mudclaw-spoiler no he did not lol.
One thing I think people don’t realize about the WC community is how it has the most dedicated artists of any fandom. Every MAP part takes probably a MINIMUM of 10 hours, can you think of any other fandom that commonly is creating art pieces all taking over 10 hours? It’s an insane amount of dedication and skill. Such a great group of people we’ve got here ❤
Have to agree. There are definitely some other good Fandom's out there, but the WC community is in a league of their own. The dedication and passion from Warriors fans is something you'd expect from people who work on movies or television series, not an online community inspired by some books.

The concept of making one of these parts in ONLY ten hours is already a terrifying level of both talent and skill. The love poured into this project is absolutely phenomenal.

I think its because warriors has been around for 20 years, and since cats are well loved by pretty much everyone, it became popular and well.. it still is lol. Since a lot of people grew up with the series, their skills at art likely grew too, which is why we have these animations and MAPS.
@@austinh. I have to agree, maybe it's credit to just how impressive the Warriors community is. A lot of our fans grew up with the series, which definitely helps fuel the passion and dedication. Iam not saying there's not other creative Fandom's out there, but from what I've seen, Warriors has one of the best.
4:04 one of the best scenes I don't see anyone talking about is this one showing Blackfoot staring at his bloody paw in horror after slaughtering an innocent ThunderClan elder (Rosetail). Blackstar is such an underrated character! He's gotta be one of the best ShadowClan leaders (character wise) in my opinion. He's just so unique and carries so much guilt and shame from his past, yet he still became an honorable leader in the end who died trying to protect his clan from the flood.

He wasn't even a main character yet got one of the best redemption arcs in the series. What an amazing leader.
Blackfoot/star really looked at his piece of the world and WANTED to change it for the better. He isn't a good guy, but he tries. That's what makes him so damn likeable
Blackstar is definitely the best ShadowClan leader in the main series, although that's maybe not saying much considering the other leaders were: two tyrants/war criminals, a sickly cat that started unnecessary battles, a kindhearted weak cat who let his Clan disappear (though that's a more complicated matter) or a cat that abandoned his Clan to run away with his mate from another Clan while he was their deputy ;p But yeah, Blackstar is awesome, his novella might have been the best one^^

I've never opened a single Warrior Cats book in my entire life, yet I've been following these animations for years. Putting together the story through all of you guys great storytelling and animations. I just wanted to say I cried watching this, its so amazing seeing the dedication and the growth of so many hard working individuals.
The greatest gift any author could ever recieve is to spark a fandom just like this one, bravo!
Sometimes I think of if I made a book series this popular, and saw people making things like these because of the series. The rest of my life would probably be more positive if I knew one of my own creations drove others to create something this, just because they loved what I had made :,)
@@BobRossCat I’ve always wanted to make 2 book series: one abt society inspired by warriors, and a futuristic racing show inspired by initial D and Pokémon. I’d have a foundation book where people could get ideas abt how these books are read and how to make them as books or animations. It be the greatest crossover when multiple authors are writing at the same time
@@BobRossCat I have frequent daydreams too about reading fanfics, scrolling through thousands of fanart and watching scribbly animatics, full-fledged animations, and wonderful MAP's and PMV's inspired from characters and world-concepts that I orginially created, but now also loved and experienced by others. What a rich and fulfilling life to know that people find comfort in a universe only shared between us.

“Tears at a funeral” IM HERE SOBBING AS IF I DID CRY AT A FUNERAL. The whole map was certainly something to wait for. The concepts, and art, the animation is all so well put together. So many wonderful animators brought together in 6 minutes, it was breathe taking. Each part flown into each other so well

4:13 gave me shivers. Gorsepaw’s death was so tragic and all the animators captured the horror and sadness of it SO well… you did Gorsepaw justice. 10/10, made me cry

Yes, even though I like Tigerstar (as a villain) this was one of the worst things that he’s ever done. He gave Firestar and Windclan so many emotional scars from this moment. (Especially Onewhisker and Morningflower)
Gorsepaw is the only death in the series that made me genuinely weep. Not to say that others haven't made me cry but this was on another level. Tigerstar tried to rule the entire forest yet ripping a child's life away infront of his mother is undoubtedly the worst thing he's ever done for me.

I actually cried. It's not even a AU that has a sad ending (Crookedgoose, Everlasting Night), but today has made me realize how much I love this fandom. My brother calls me weird for having a fixation on these books, but it's because I love them. I love this fandom and I love how much has been done for it. I don't care for how bad the books have gotten, it's the fandom that keeps it alive. Keep on going strong Warrior Cats. Never die.

So amazing ❤️ I watched this on my 65” 4K tv with tears in my eyes. The big screen really made this feel like a professional music video. One of the most beautiful MAPs with such a creative sense of art direction. I was so glad to be able to be apart of it 🥹 wonderful job everyone! Like there are SO MANY incredible details in ALL of this I couldn't possibly mention them all; but this is just to say that the work and effort put into this is INCREDIBLE. 10/10 to all of the artists who worked incredibly hard to bring this into reality; you're all INCREDIBLE.
God I didn't even notice half of these (mostly the border parts because I was trying to focus on the middle panel more). This is such a well done MAP and everyone who took part should be really proud of themselves.

Found myself the most moved by Blackstar's parts.
The fact that throughout his life, he had committed a lot of wrongs and been loyal to some of the most villainous characters in the series, only to realize those wrongs and seek to redeem himself and be a better leader for Shadowclan. Yes, he was deceived by Sol and had his faith tested, but I think what really nails it for me is how his last action before he drowned was to save a kit from the floodwaters. It makes it feel like he was really humbled by all of his experiences in his life.
4:19 Him being stared down by Stonefur and feeling the weight of all his actions upon him. Damn.
wow, literal TEARS man. i am an aspiring illustrator who would never have taken that leap from “kid drawing when she’s bored” to “teen looking up as many art tutorials as possible to learn on her own terms” without this series and its maproject community. 11-year-old me was shocked when she realized that people _my age_ were making animations for big youtube projects _on their phones/laptops._ it inspired me so much, because i realized that becoming a great artist without an expensive drawing tablet/computer is possible. and that if i wanted, i could join this community of teenagers and college students making large projects about a book series they loved
even now that i’ve moved on from this series and drawing cats, i still keep up with this community and it still inspires me to this day. if this maproject was a thing when i was a kid, i’m sure it would have become my driving fuel for becoming an artist/animator. as cheesy as it sounds, to me, this maproject represents the excitement i felt when i discovered the warriors animation community for the first time and saw so many teens around my age who were incredibly skilled at art. in fact, i don’t think i would even have taken art seriously if it weren’t for this community
and not only does this hold sentimental value for me because of that, it’s also SUCH a good representation of the series itself. the parallels drawn between each character is so interesting and unique!!! i especially love the scene where firestar, leopardstar, onestar, and blackstar get their nine lives from their leaders (3:36), especially 4:32, where spottedleaf recites the prophecy in front of firepaw and mudfur smiles while talking to leopardkit, and then firepaw and leopardkit turn into firestar and leopardstar…. MAN
i’ve been writing this for almost half an hour now so i’ll probably edit this later to add more, but for now tl;dr: this community inspired me to become an aspiring illustrator and i don’t regret it. thank you
I watched this with my mom in the dark, and we both had our jaws dropped at the end. This was definitely the best warriors MAP I know of! In my opinion

Can we talk about the awe and breathlessness 4:37 has? Is so magical and really just shows the splendor of the lake. The detail of the owl flying over the group of cats to reveal a giant glittering pool of stars, showing the group where they belong. Its wonderous!!

A comfort, an assurance, a warning, a taunt, a truth!! it's so fucking WILD how many connotations that line took throughout the video!! and often in juxtaposition to each other!!!

This is definitely one of BEST maps I've EVER seen. The mirroring/contrast between Brambleberry and Yellowfang and Crookedjaw and Brokenstar?! "Your whole life's in the hand of God" for Crookedjaw it's saying "Don't be a afraid, everything will be alright." For Brokenstar it's saying "You'll get what you deserve." And the background colors being soft blue and blood red just- AHHH. And Gorsepaw's death?! The panel of Firestar remembering how he saved Gorsekit next to the panel of him sobbing over Gorsepaw's body- WOW. Yellowfang's resigned "damn" as she realizes the life she knew is gone. Bluestar's death, Crookedjaw's leadership ceremony with the symbolic pike fish, every little detail put into this masterpiece is INCREDIBLE. This has gotta be the most talented fandom on the planet 💙
The only way I can describe the feeling while watching this video and being in the fandom for over 12 years now is: it feels like experiencing the "Five giants" all over again. I feel moved, the animation is spectacular, the colors, the music, and the stories are all tied together so perfectly. It feels like nearly every book and scene was seen in the video. This was truly wonderful, and I can't wait to see more
And on Warriors 20th birthday too?? Im gonna cry, such a beautiful tribute from an exceptionally talented group of artists. You all did not just create a group project, but an entire short film worthy of a Tony award!

all the years, losses, deaths, leaders, warriors, sacrifices, betrayals and years were spectacular, the animators did a great job, only those of us who read at least one book will know the emotion of reading the books. This song is perfect to describe the 20 years, and all this because of the fire that saved the clan for the losses of blue star, the adventure of tall star, the crooked jaw of crooked star, the betrayal of tigerstar for the decision of black star . leopard star's claim, thanks erin hunter...
Watch this and remember that this used to be just a bunch of cats fighting each other in a forest.
And animators and Erin decided to give them a lot more life. This is insane, probably the best Warrior cats map out there, and that’s saying something.
I had no clue about this MAP before going in and I thought people on social media were just being overdramatic but no... oh my god I think this is the peak. Like can we even go up from here? Absolutely awe-inspiring, amazing effort from every single person involved. It's things like this that make me think that the Warriors fandom is full of ten times the talented, creative, hardworking & passionate people than any other fandom currently in existence. Massive props to every single person involved with this, no matter how small the contribution. It's MAPs like this that made me love the fandom as a kid, and MAPs like this that are why I still love it.

this made me realize that the animators uploading their map parts is a spoiler, they should always add it after their premier so people can be completely surprised when they see the final product first
@@austinh. I can see your reasoning, but if you don’t want spoilers then just don’t watch the part? Also, animators posting their map parts usually drum up a lot of “advertisement” if you will for the finished product; I can’t tell you how many times the only reason i’ve found a map is through a map part. Not to mention, it’s not rare for a map to just… never get finished, even if it seems like it will, so animators really can’t just hold back their part without knowing if they’re gonna be able to post it or not within the foreseeable future, yknow?

I've been with this fandom since I was 6. I'm turning 20 this year and still, to this day every artist amazes me with their talent of bringing these characters to life. I literally cried because of how beautiful it was, seeing my favorite characters go through their lives in simple yet amazing colorful flashes of art. I love this fandom with my entire heart and I'm so glad to be part of the community. Thank you Firestar and the Erins for giving us a fandom to be proud of when everyone else teases us for it.

small detail but i love how the border parts with the leaders all have stars in the background except for brokenstar and tigerstar’s- and nightstar’s background is mostly clouded with only a few stars peeking through

I'm not part of the Warriors fandom, never have been, but what everyone creates never fails to astonish me. The people in this fandom are so incredibly skilled. With that being said, the amount of talent and skill in this project amazes me to no end! I can tell everyone poured their heart and soul into their part, and together it's turned into one of the most beautiful MAPs I have ever seen. Huge props to every artist in here, you're all an inspiration.

This fandom is so beautiful. 20 years ago, a kittypet named Rusty stepped “Into The Wild” and everything changed after that. I can’t believe how amazing this community is, and the fact that these people can come together to make this masterpiece is honestly breathtaking. Everyone did such an amazing job, including the host, Nifty-Senpai. This map will be remembered forever, just like the series, which will always be my favorite. ❤

i literally discovered warriors about a year ago, and just 3 weeks after that this map was released, at first when i watched it i understood little to nothing, but as i progressed on the books everytime i came back to watch this i understood more and more of the scenes, and now after exactly a year this map has been released i can now proudly say that i understood every single scene in here

This is such an insane example of a huge amount of animators coming together to passionately create an incredible project that _everyone_ enjoyed and wanted to bring justice to.. you can _see_ the passion and enjoyment these animators had in their work!!! Everyone loved creating this and _I can tell._ So incredible. The direction, art and narrative wise, is just mind blowing. Overjoyed to see something like this come to fruition again. The rewards for something so full of life are incredible. I hope all of the animators and host enjoy it

I ADORE this project. I keep coming back to it not only because it's beautifully animated with a plethora of talented creators, but also because the rewatch value is INSANE. Throughout the entire thing there's so much to watch that you end up noticing something new every time. It becomes a game to pick which frames to watch and I absolutely love it

Im so happy I participated in this map! Everyone did so well and Niftys management was superb. Getting this big of a project done in less than a year is such an achievement!
There's so much love captured in every frame of this map, watching it makes me feel like my kid-self hanging off the edge of my seat at the library reading the books. Really gorgeous work from everyone who participated, especially Nifty - I adore the creative direction in this video, and the thought of managing this many people kinda makes my head spin lol. I can't imagine it was easy, but the final result is probably one of the best multi-animator projects out there! Happy 20th anniversary, Warriors.

I've been into Warriors since I was in 6th grade. (16 years ago, time sure does fly). The series has always meant a lot to me. Embarrassed to say, this video hit hard and made me tear up aha.

i can't stop crying. this fandom. this series. these stories. they mean the world to me. the inspiration and the passion that it drew out of people. i can't. my chest is so tight. this video is a commemoration for everything that has been established in 20 years of writing, but it also is a triumph of creativity and animation, storyboarding and interpretation, symbolism and character analysis. there aren't enough words for me to say about this.
for the good times, the bad times, and everything in between, I am proud to be part of this community.

I’ve ever seen- It really shows the mystery and beauty of the world of warriors. These creations are what inspire me to be an animator
popular opinion: I much prefer the leaders of the prophecies begin. They are much more developed for me. I so love the animation of the moment where Yellofang kills Brokenstar, she hugs him which supports this tragic side of the scene.
I actually shed a single tear. And I don’t usually cry. This just goes to show how amazing this MAP has been, and how breathtaking it came out to be. Each and every animator worked so quickly for their work, and their work is incredible. This MAP truly touched me, after all the years of reading Warriors. Thank you so much.
STOP. BECAUSE THIS IS AMAZING. THE END WAS SO AMAZINGLY DRAMATIC AND AAAA- I love how unique all the border parts are and every animator put so much effort into this part. I have never felt so flabbergastered at a MAP. I also love how this isn’t just events, it’s dipictions of things like Crookedstar turning into water and Mapleshade crushing him, Bluestar running into a huge wave and drowning, Yellowfang having Brokenstar’s blood on her paws and more. And again, I can’t explain how the ending made me feel, it’s just too amazing.

Good grief was this breathtaking! Like my goodness was this worth the wait. I offer the absolute most sincere congratulations to everyone involved in this project, this MAP is legendary and will be a staple to the Fandom, just unbelievable work. Oh and happy 20 years to my fellow Warriors fans, couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate such an accomplishment for our community. There's not a doubt in my mind that a huge reason for the continued success of the series is due to having one of the most passionate and talented Fandom's out there! this map is probably the most impressive one i’ve ever seen. i have loved warriors from such a young age and this video makes me want to cry not just from the stories but from the talent and dedication everyone has for this project. i missed the upload cause i don’t use youtube very much but i remember seeing everyone’s parts as this map was being made and i was very excited for it. this is probably my favorite warriors map. very beautiful!!!!!
Started getting into WC a few months ago and this just left me breathless, yhis is the most beautiful animation I've seen in this internet, and I saw a lot of them...
