Starclan Trials|| COMPLETE Warrior Cats AU MAP

- Before anything else I need to give a very special thank you to @rchunee9743 for absolutely carrying the production of this project there’s no way it would’ve been finished without their contributions!
Starclan trials is an Alternate universe I Created for the Warrior Cats series where leaders go to the moonstone to get their nine lives, but instead of meeting with Starclan directly, they’re met with a series of challenges that they have to conquer while they hunt down the starclan cats that give them their lives. The challenges feel like they last about a week but in reality it’s only a couple hours that they sleep. they cannot die during these trials but if they take too long and cannot complete a task they will be turned away by starclan.
Leaders that complete the challenges are rewarded with a star on their chest, but those who fail will be forever marked with the shame of a shattered star behind their ear.
This map follows Bluestar as she completes her leader trials.

Trial 1- Tracking: Bluefur has to hunt down the starclan cat hiding in the woods. She wakes up in a grassy clearing and finds a tall rock pillar decorated with images of stars and cats that appear to have been made by the claw marks of a cat. She climbs the pillar to get a better view and sees the starclan cat in the woods on the other side of the clearing. She runs into the woods and notices a bright light, but somethings not right. She hears and smells more signs of another cat in the opposite direction so she follows her gut and turns the other way. She finds the starclan cat and passes her first trial.
Trial 2- defence: Bluefur has to lead a patrol through a dark eerie forest. Eyes watch them on all sides. Suddenly a patrol of ghost cats appear and Bluefur has to lead her patrol into battle. They successfully defeat the starclan cats and Bluefur passes her second trial.
Trial 3- survival: Bluefur has to survive an unforgiving blizzard. She walks until she can’t feel her paws. Eventually coming across a cave. Shelter at last! She cautiously enters the cave and hears the sound of a kit mewling. She follows the sound through a tunnel in the cave and finds cold, shaking Mosskit. She curls around her before entering the next trial.
Trial 4- fire: Bluefur wakes up in a forest completely ablaze. Two frightened cats stare at her expectantly and she knows she needs to do whatever she can to save them. She leads them through the woods giving them encouragements to keep going despite their burning lungs and aching legs. They’re almost out before suddenly Bluefur sees, oh no. Her sister, snowfur is trapped behind a wall of fire. She pauses trying desperately to think of a way to save her. But she realizes that’s not the mission. Snowfur is already dead she needs to let go and save these cats. She painfully turns away and continues running, leaving her sister behind, but successfully rescuing the two frightened cats.
Trial 5- strength: at the end of the fourth trial Bluefur finds herself at the base of the tallest cliff she’s ever seen. She can see a bright light coming from the very top and knows that’s where she has to go. She begins climbing. It takes what feels like a quarter moon. Nearly slipping multiple times, she keeps her cool and continues the trek. Finally she arrives at the top of the mountain, greeted by all of her starry loved ones. She’s completed all of her trials and claimed the name Bluestar.

Man, imagine if this were canon and all the leaders must complete trails before receiving their nine lives. It would've been so cool.

I wish it was canon that StarClan had trials to see who was worthy of being leader, it would’ve been a lot more interesting
It would also keep bad cats from being leaders, like the first Tigerstar and Brokenstar.
Not inherently, bad cats could still likely make it through. However I do think this would resolve the issue of Nightstar not gaining his nine lives, whilst also potentially giving us some more characterization of him if we find out why he failed the trial. Overall a pretty interesting idea.
IT TURNED OUT BEAUTIFULLY!!!! THE PART WHERE BLUEFUR LAYED WITH MOSSKIT BUT MOSSKIT TURNED INTO A STARCLAN CAT AND FADED AWAY BROUGHT ME TO TEARS IT WAS SO SAD THIS MAP TURNED OUT AMAZING AND WAS WORTH THE WAIT!
This is genuinely a very smart idea. Having trials for Bluestar to actually become leader is so creative and unique, I absolutely love this idea. Everyone did an amazing job on this, and it’s amazing to finally see this come together. Also the part with Mosskit was so sweet but sad :(
I absolutely love this MAP! The concept explains in a much better light than in the books the way cats should be able to receive their nine lives, because Starclan would know that being a leader comes with hardships, and each leader should be tested before experiencing those, and this AU would give the nine lives more of a reason to be in the books other than just the climax of a leader suddenly being : "Hey I am on my last life" out of a sudden! Great concept!
Edit: I forgot to mention the fact that you choice for Bluestar being in this MAP other than Firestar or Brambleclaw id very toughtful, her life was full of hardships, and it would make sense that these trials made her stronger!
This is actually a really good idea because it would probably help prevent cats like brokenstar from ever becoming leaders. but also everything is very pretty the animators did so well!
My idea was actually that it makes villains like brokenstar even scarier because in this AU all canon leaders are still leaders so that means starclan put them through hell trying to prevent their leadership and they still exceeded and took power

Ooo such an interesting concept! Now I kind-of imagine that Nightstar faked his symbol after failing the trials (perhaps Starclan even refused to give him any) to try and put ShadowClan's mind at ease
I love how this is about bluestar having to face endangerment to her clan she is about to lead and using many qualities of a true leader to solve it.
This was so amazing.. I really like this concept, it would be better I think then how the actual books have it! It would make more sense for it to be a trial of some sort to test the leader before receiving their nine lives. This is beautiful too! Amazing job ❤❤
Honestly Trials for leadership make everything so much more interesting! Especially when you think about how the original Tigerstar could have manipulated his!
I really loved the AU of clan leaders having to face challenges performed by the cats of starclan who are giving the leader their nine lives.
This was an amazing map posted with the Next Up Forever map with breathtaking anamations made by animators who have worked so hard on their part!
This warriors map was worth the wait!

Gorgeous!I like the fact that this portraits how Bluefur(star), had to leave Snowfur, even tho it was painful, she continued her life as a warrior, this map shows that she moved on with the trial. awsome map!
Oh my StarClan I wish this was canon! The idea of having trials that each leader has to undergo before they can actually become leader is genius. Great job on this! I really hope you expand on it and do more leaders' StarClan trials :D

This is such a cool concept! It would’ve been so cool to canonically see this in a leader’s perspective in a book! All the artist also did a really good job! They showed what was going really well

AAAAA I CANT BELIEVE THIS IS DONE!! I remember seeing the map call and hoping it wasn't dead, as the idea was amazing and unique. The environment and emotions were captured so beautifully by all the artists that worked on this. The scene in the dark forest where bluestar battles was definitely my favourite. I wonder if the trials take place in starclans territory, or if its a figment of the (hopefully-) future leaders imagination? All of the trails are so thought out and the fact mosskit and snowfur are used to taunt her is chilling. Definitely a favourite map of mine now.
This was so well done and I’m happy to see it finally finished! All the animators did such a good job.
This is one of the best MAPs I’ve ever seen of Warrior Cats, maybe the best of all. I love BlueStar so much and I love to see such a creative idea and accurate representation of her character. THIS IS SO UNDERRATED ALL OF Y’ALL ARE SO TALENTED

There was some kind of watch party event for maps being posted back to back this wasn’t actually part of it but it just happened to be on the Saturday after I finally finished editing so I decided to post it today anyways and 😅
I CAN'T BELIEVE I MISSED PEAK?? THIS LITERALLY TURNED OUT SO GOOD I WISH I SAW IT SOONER!! I CAN'T POSSIBLY THINK OF ENOUGH ADJECTIVES TO DESCRIBE HOW AMAZING EVERY SINGLE ANIMATOR DID!! it's so fun to see how such a simple change can do such a world of amazing things for the narrative this genuinely should be how it works in the books

I actually like this little add on to prove a cat is TRULY worthy of being leader of their clan they must through 9 very DIFFICULT trials in order to receive a life instead of just sitting in a circle surrounded by 9 StarClan Warriors that touch their nose to their forehead and that cat is suddenly the next leader. I wish the Erin’s would consider these 9 trials and make it a thing in future books. I can actually see Ivypool completing these trials with swift ease and becoming Ivystar in no time flat. 😻

SO BEAUTIFUL!! Ngl this is one of those map calls that got me into warriors origionally so this map will always hold an incredibly important place in my heart! I am so happy it got finished and it looks absolutely beautiful, and all the parts flow together to amazingly!! This is absolutely beautiful work!
I so hope we het to see one for mightstar where he gets the syar behind his ear because Brokentail sabatoges him, but running nose helps cover it up with Ash or moss and uses mud to make a fake one and it could be about him repeatedly trying again, only to get sabotaged each time by brokentail, whike trying to face the challenges in the waking world too as his clan falls apart
I do have a whole concept for nightstar but I don’t think I’m ever gonna have time to host a whole map about it so I’m thinking about just creating a big storyboard because I have SOOO many thoughts about him and this AU

I like the theory that it's not enough to be a deputy to be a leader. You have to pass several tests (maybe 9) to be given your life. This would save clans from incompetent and just awful leaders. Such as Onestar or Brokenstar.

I wish the trials were canon, they add much more interest to the ceremony and allow leaders to prove that they'll use their extra lives in service of their clans. Each part in this turned out so so well, it's wonderful to see the project completed and brought to life!

Ohhh my gosh.This has to be one of the most gorgeous Warrior Cats M.A.Ps ever.I've been waiting since the storyboard was announced and it was so worth the wait!The concept,the designs,the everything!Everyone did such a fantastic job!
Trail 1: you can see the black and white butterfly lead Bluefur to where the starclan cat is
trail 2: two black and white cats
Trail 3: Mosskit turns into the black and white butterfly
Trail 5: you see that same butterfly that was Mosskit and it flies with her until she gets to the top.
Anyone else thinking that Mosskit was helping her mom get through the trails to become Bluestar?

In my actual story the leaders and medicine cats actually have to go through a series of 9 trials to prove if they’re worthy to be leader or a medicine cat so I find this map absolutely beautiful that someone also thought of a concept similar to that! ^^

This is an AMAZING concept and would have been so much better and cooler an idea!! so many amazing parts!
Would also explain why brave and strong cats like Brokenstar and Tigerstars could still earn their lives but a more elderly, fragile cat like Nightstar couldn't. Imagine hiding the "shatter" mark with mud and "paint" a chest mark with a daisy petal poultice or something.
@@amberestie6605 YOU GET IT YOU GET IT!!! A lot of people have asked me if starclan would intentionally fail tigerstar or brokenstar but NO they just overcame really intense challenges which further proves how scary and dangerous they are

I love Bluestar. I've been since 2012. Warriors were with me since then more or less. But all the time. It's such huge part of my life. Just like Bluestar. And this made me feel like this little kid from 2012. And as this little kid I would want to thank you all so much for bringing this... art here. It woke up the kid I longed to in my heart. Thank you - also as now adult me. It was incredible. Lol I'm in so mant emotions now. I don't even know how to properly say it. But thank you once more for this trip to my emotions from my beginning of this adventure with Warriors. And Bluestar. I may be back here soon, when I'll finally be able to speak something more. I'm literally speechless. I'm afraid I will now end up drawing illustrations for this lol. ALSO! I absolutely love this idea of meeting Starclan. It gives 'only worthy cats will lead their clan' vibe

Bruh it would be so cool if there was another map like this with the same storyline but with night star it can show him not completing the trials and waking up with the broken star
I do have a whole concept written up for him actually!! I don’t think I’ll be hosting anymore maps at all but I’m currently brainstorming some kind of storyboard for nightstars concept because I have so many thoughts about him and this AU…
