Wow, it's still really wild for me to think of Adventure Time (a show that premiered in 2010) as someone's childhood, but I guess it makes sense. For me, AT just spanned 8 years of my adult life, and despite the fact that I went through College and started my post-college life in that time, it really doesn't feel like it's been that long. I guess it just shows that there's a huge difference between 8 to 16 (for example) and 18 to 26. Even still, it does kind of feel like an era has passed and ended with AT's lifespan (not to say that I'm not excited to see what's next). I remember thinking early on while watching the show, 'I'm sure this'll be a really cool/interesting show to grow up with for kids right now', and now I'm talking to one of those people! So what was it like?

Well, even if the show is ending, I think the comic series is still going strong (if not, and you haven't read it, there's plenty there to read), and honestly I kind of feel like as a whole the comics are a bit better than the show--though I suppose they don't have Rebecca's beautiful songs. Apart from the main line of comics also there's plenty of one off series by different writers/publishers. I _highly_ recommend Marceline and the Scream Queens and it's followup Marceline Gone Adrift. I only hope Meredith Gran keeps working with the series.
Rebecca and Olivia had me close to tears with the extended Everything Stays, and then I broke down hearing Time Adventure. Rebecca is such an amazing person and John's speech made me cry even harder. So sad this is the last panel for AT :(
And there I was thinking I could get through this panel without crying... Then Rebecca Sugar comes in and now I'm crying into my pillow. That last song.

It's gonna be heartbreaking to see Adventure Time go. Adventure Time and Regular Show are what saved Cartoon Network from its dark times back in 2010, and now that AT is ending very soon, the only good shows left are of SU, WBB, and TAWOG. This truly is the end of the 2010's era of Cartoon Networrk.... whatever will take place of Adventure time, I'm sure it'll be a success like AT was.... and there's still new shows to debut on CN like Infinity Train... I feel like Infinity Train will be the spiritual successor to Adventure time, and last for a long while. Even though it seems that the 2010s era of CN is coming to to a close, we will enjoy the new 2020s era of it.
I like OK K.O Let's be heroes and Summer Camp Island since both of the creators also worked on Adventure Time, but you're right it is the end of the 2010 CN era 😢 AT will be missed

Great panel. If only CN had treated the show as well as the organization of this panel. These past two years have been a mess of a release schedule for the show and I feel it already died some time ago. I've been watching every single ep since around 2012 and man does the time fly, really hope it ends on a good note some recent eps have been all over the place, C'mon Muto, give it the end it deserves!

I never thought I'd cry over a cartoon. BUT THIS.....was just too much. I've been watching ever since that first episode in 2010 and I just gotta say that this show means so much to me. I never thought I'd keep up with a show for over 8 years and become so emotionally attached to it. These people have created such an amazing world and I'm so proud of them. Its gonna take me a while to wrap my head around the fact that it's really ending, but again, I'm so proud of everyone who's made this show what it is today.
Hands down, the best show to ever happen. Ever. Thank you Pendleton Ward, Adam Muto. This show is apart of my everyday and I just love it so very much. My brother introduced it to me about 9 years ago, and I'm still here, watching it everyday. I'm glad it still lives on in Distant Lands. Thanks Adam for keeping it going. I am not ready for Adventure Time to be over. All the laughs, all the tears all the amazing music that this show gave us will forever be held dear in my heart. I am so happy that you were able to watch this happen. I did not know it would be this amazing because i was young when it started and i stopped at about season 5-6. Then i caught up on hulu and i skipped several episodes because i had to know the end and major character stories. I finished the show this night and made sure that i watched every episode this time. I actually made a version of time adventure and everything stays because i loved her songs so much. Ill try to make videos for them. I intend to wait for distant lands along with you and everyone else.

After seeing an episode because I gave it a chance and I soon realized this show ain't bad at all. i was maybe 11 or twelve when i first sirfed on channels and i found cartoon netwoork.....till then i wathed. all of things but it was while when i first got into the adventure time philosophy this song kept my childhood bright when my parents were divorced and fighting all the time. i had no friends ....i just lived with the hope of spending time with the characters every day.....i will turn 19 soon and still remember my past..and the reason i just smiled at all ❤( its like some part of me died when the show was ove., that child who created a family with the adventure time characters..filled up lonelinesss ). LOVE U FANDOM

I remember sitting down and watching the first episode with my little sister when the show first aired...after watching I remember just being filled with such joy. My sister and I made it a tradition to watch the show every week when a new episode came out, and we really bonded over it. Now all these years later, I feel like I’ve really grown up along with Finn in a weird way. And now it’s ending...it’s still kind of weird to think about tbh.
I can as a kid that has grown up through like about every great cartoon era since the 70's that Adventure Time has been the only cartoon series that continued to resonate with me and I relate with as it covers like everything in its story universe/legend that I always found interesting in reading about as far as myths and folklore and sci-fi and kinda horror stuff to and combined absurdity and humor on different levels with like serious sad tragedy and drama and deep philosophical ideas. But it remained interesting and ever changing and the characters changed and grew and learned and ya really wanted to see what was going to happen to them as time went on. I don't think there will ever be another cartoon series like it and I hope that they maybe take it back up again and start telling stories of the new incarnations and descendent characters in time....but in some way it wont be the same feelings related to certain characters that ya got used to seeing each episode. Like without Jake and Finn and Simon and Earl of Lemongrab many other regular characters, it wont have the same emotional ties but I would still be interested in seeing how the new ones went on. With as big as Ooo was, there were places that never got explored too much and maybe they can do some retro tales of past adventures featuring the original characters. Niki Yang was like total BMO there..lol that's all I hear when she talks is BMO. so funny "My Art Is A Weapon!"
this show was a gift. I remember when I first saw the promo for the show and I was like "that looks mega stupid! it could never be up there with grim adventures or fosters!" but I was so wrong! I gave the show a chance (its only fair to give everything a chance even if it doesn't seem like ull like it. its the only way to have a real opinion on the matter) when the first episode aired and with every episode, it only got better and better. the show is both hilarious and deep! you really connect with the characters! you laugh with them, cry with them, and even get scared with them! (seriously, the Lich is the scariest cartoon villain!) plus this show had very adult moments! this is also the show that got me through high school while I was bullied. do I place it up there with grim adventures and other classics? no.....I place it higher! this show means a lot to me and I want to thank everyone behind it for giving us this masterpiece! I KNOW im gonna cry during the finale but I know all great things must come to an end. so again, thank you for the Adventure! (I was strong during this whole panel until I saw ma boi John crying X'DD now im crying like a baby! Jake is my favorite character!)
I have this really, really odd and bad, awful feeling that someones going to die in the final. I have this feeling that somehow bubblegum is going to die. I really hope I'm wrong. I really, really do. I want Marcy and Bubblegum to live. It's just that song that gets to me "we will happen and happen and happen again." And then it ends with something like "we will always be best friends" I really hope not. ;_;

I cried so hard 😢 after watching this show is related to my childhood and it's sad to see it ending. Well every good thing has to end sometime..... This series will be in the Hall of Fame of the greatest series ever created!
I remember sitting down and watching the first episode with my little sister when the show first aired...after watching I remember just being filled with such joy. My sister and I made it a tradition to watch the show every week when a new episode came out, and we really bonded over it. Now all these years later, I feel like I’ve really grown up along with Finn in a weird way. And now it’s ending...it’s still kind of weird to think about tbh.

It’s like my childhood made sure to end with a bang. I’m not ready for this. ;-;
I can as a kid that has grown up through like about every great cartoon era since the 70's that Adventure Time has been the only cartoon series that continued to resonate with me and I relate with as it covers like everything in its story universe/legend that I always found interesting in reading about as far as myths and folklore and sci-fi and kinda horror stuff to and combined absurdity and humor on different levels with like serious sad tragedy and drama and deep philosophical ideas.
But it remained interesting and ever changing and the characters changed and grew and learned and ya really wanted to see what was going to happen to them as time went on. I don't think there will ever be another cartoon series like it and I hope that they maybe take it back up again and start telling stories of the new incarnations and descendent characters in time....but in some way it wont be the same feelings related to certain characters that ya got used to seeing each episode.
Like without Jake and Finn and Simon and Earl of Lemongrab many other regular characters, it wont have the same emotional ties but I would still be interested in seeing how the new ones went on.
With as big as Ooo was, there were places that never got explored too much and maybe they can do some retro tales of past adventures featuring the original characters.

this show was a gift. I remember when I first saw the promo for the show and I was like "that looks mega stupid! it could never be up there with grim adventures or fosters!" but I was so wrong! I gave the show a chance (its only fair to give everything a chance even if it doesn't seem like ull like it. its the only way to have a real opinion on the matter) when the first episode aired and with every episode, it only got better and better. the show is both hilarious and deep! you really connect with the characters! you laugh with them, cry with them, and even get scared with them! (seriously, the Lich is the scariest cartoon villain!) plus this show had very adult moments! this is also the show that got me through high school while I was bullied. do I place it up there with grim adventures and other classics? no.....I place it higher! this show means a lot to me and I want to thank everyone behind it for giving us this masterpiece! I KNOW im gonna cry during the finale but I know all great things must come to an end. so again, thank you for the Adventure! (I was strong during this whole panel until I saw ma boi John crying X'DD now im crying like a baby! Jake is my favorite character!)
If they throw this show on adult swim in 5 years i wouldnt be suprised and the end theme should be the extended version of everything stays

I have this really, really odd and bad, awful feeling that someones going to die in the final. I have this feeling that somehow bubblegum is going to die. I really hope I'm wrong. I really, really do. I want Marcy and Bubblegum to live. It's just that song that gets to me "we will happen and happen and happen again." And then it ends with something like "we will always be best friends" I really hope not. ;_;
