    John.. i followed your advice on bringing the swing leg diagonally during the hop phase.. it really helped with the forward rotation that I struggled so much with. Thank you so much

    Hey Coach, I’m the video you mentioned how some jumpers tend to rely on eccentric strength. What Excercises would be conducive to increasing this eccentric strength?

    My goal for this season is to go from 34 to 40 ft, about what speed/LJ distance would i need for this?

    This year i completed my final jump is 13:64... I deeply want to increase it into 17 m..

      Good luck you will need to be able to run around 10.8 for the 100m, long jump over 7.50… and jump over 16m from 10 steps or so. 20m fly time would be around 1.95sec. This will give you some goals to aim for. Do the right training and don’t expect overnight success!

    Sir i'm a long jump i can't hold my knee drive in take off and i also cannot get that proper landing position....what should i do for it?

    2nd phase is killer for me. My 1st jump is pretty far and when I land I lose all my momentum and go nowhere pretty much. Ill try and use these tip’s hopefully I can fix it

      Good luck, we have found using partial bounds and projecting the hips up has helped, also double arm and making sure the hop exit is "correct" you need the foot to be extended so that you can create vertical velocity... so, it's a combination of technical and conditioning work,
