I though pit bull at first but doesn't have that shaped face. Maybe part bull terrier? I hope you will tell us. I love it when a dog finds a home without having to step foot in a shelter. Thanks for picking him up!

I think part English Bull Terrier. The nose, paws, and disposition, along with the mannerism of covering his nose with a paw are very EBT. Lots of possibilities for the mix, though. Wish we knew about his litter mates and parents. They probably need help too!

No kidding. I've watched dozens of rescues where they keep filming dogs in the most dire circumstances, and I want to shout, 'just pick him up, put him in your car and give him something to eat on your way to the vet!'

A sweet hound girl I rescued from a puppy mill was terrified of grass as well. It took a long time to get her used to it, but her final acceptance of it came when I brought her to our weekly local hound & human get together at a dog park & she realized that although there was grass she needed to walk over, there were also plenty of people who wanted to shower her with pets & snuggles - two of her favorite things. 🐶💜
You don’t rescue dogs from a puppy mill. You buy them.
@johnathant6375 They probably got it from a shelter who had rescued it from the puppy farm. For some reason it’s just how people phrase these things. You hear it all the time, “I rescued it from the Cats Protection/Dogs Trust etc.” they didn’t rescue it, they got it from the people who rescued it. I assume it’s what they meant?
Sure, but they still rescued her by adopting her from a shelter. If they hadn't adopted her, most likely she would have been euthanized...unfortunately it happens every few seconds...@@Shaz4Mark

I was the founder of a dog rescue & I worked with the son of the mill owner for over 2 years to get her to give up all of her basset hounds because we kept getting dogs who had come from her mill into the rescue & they had all sorts of health issues.
We took in all of her 10 bassets, which included 9 girls & 1 boy along with a (happy) surprise surrender of her 3 beagles as well, which the local beagle rescue took in.
Unbeknownst to us, one of the females was pregnant with 12 puppies. She never would have survived & several of the pups would have likely perished as well, which is why we think the mill owner finally agreed to give up her stock (with only 24 hours notice to us). It was a difficult birth that took the assistance of 4 volunteers & 2 vets. The momma had Lyme disease and couldn’t nurse, so I had volunteers around the clock in my living room feeding hungry puppies and lovely people who donated what seemed like a ton of formula & supplies. The pups were fostered for 12 weeks until they could be spayed/neutered & then adopted out in pairs to people who had experience with the breed, since they can be challenging. 😺
The mill owner signed an airtight legal contract that she would never own those breeds again. It’s been 25 years & she stuck to it, as well as eventually giving up all the other dogs she had the following year. Our rescue worked with other local breed groups to take them in after she surrendered them.
I assure you I did not buy any dogs from that woman. 💜
@@Kenny-yl9pc Well the correct phrase for all shelters is to adopt them but, unfortunately you are indeed correct. The two shelters I’d listed above are both “no-kill” shelters (unless it’s for the animal’s benefit) but the RSPCA (& no doubt other rescues too) do euthanise animals every day & allegedly… (I say “allegedly” because it’s something I was told by someone who had worked at the RSPCA, not something I have witnessed myself) .., sometimes it’s just to make space for those coming in, which is just sad. If only the novelty of Pets wouldn’t rub off when they stop being kittens/puppies etc. And if only they would get their pets neutered we wouldn’t need so many shelters. That way the only animals going into shelters would be those whose owners have a valid reason to give them up, say the owner’s situation has changed & they can no longer responsibly care for their animal for whatever genuine reason they have/had. Not because of their own fuck-ups I.e. they bought a breed for it’s looks without checking if it would be a good “fit” for their home/lifestyle, which is a classic excuse! Of course while ever there are “free to good home”😱🤬 ads & while ever you can get paid for your pets offspring, I can’t see the situation changing anytime soon, people will indeed “rescue” animals from certain shelters… which is so very sad.
Man sees pup on the road and thinks, "What is this?!" Pup sees man and thinks, "Oh, good, he's FINALLY here!" This adorable baby was waiting, and wow, was it ever worth the wait! He's adorable. Thank you for saving him and loving him. ❤

I know that feeling, thank you for saving him. I did the same thing a fw months back. I found a starving, dehydrated, flea ridden baby. We spent the weekend at the vets and its been a roller coaster since then but hes 4 months old now and healthy as an ox.

I don't understand the ignorance of some people !! I have a special needs kitty that spent 3 years in a crate out in their unheated garage because their other cat didn't "like" her... I learned of her and begged the owner to let me take her. She has a few mobility issues but it doesn't stop her from living her best life free from bars and neglect😁.. Oh, this is beautiful! You're an excellent dog dad and your puppy knows it. Rescues are so wonderful, just the gratitude you see in their eyes, it's like they know you saved them and now they just love you forever. We have a little blind terrier we rescued almost 10 years ago, and she's such a peach. She has her ailments, but it is so worth it just seeing her all calm and happy knowing she's safe in her forever home. What you did for this pup is a true gift of humanity, and I hope you guys have a beautiful life together.
