FULL KICKDOWN & THRASH | London General Dennis Trident / Optare Olympus | DOE40 (LX09BXJ) | Route 80

Back again with these beasts! A while ago, some of you may remember, I caught DOE5 also on the same route, the 80. That was caned with a mad driver, but the diff on that bus was properly loud which made the experience not as good as it could have been.
A few months later, we have another speedy driver who wasn't willing to hold back. Thankfully, DOE40 is in a much better condition than DOE5, with rapid acceleration and no hoovering at all. On what in my view the best route ran from Sutton depot, this Trident gets floored pretty much everywhere, with constant 1-4's (even in tight residential areas), 40+mph A297 thrash and spritely downshifts all being featured! One full kickdown into 5th down Oldfield Road was the cherry on top, taking me completely by surprise as something I've never had before on these buses.
