Try proactively placing wall barricades, especially when low on HP & meding or reloading.
Players seem so hesitant to place walls, trying to save them, only to die and lose it anyway

As someone who plays rust while im watching my son, a 2x server is much better for my lifestyle. It allows me to progress, get my base built, get PvP, and raid while only playing a few hours a day and taking frequent breaks while playing. It’s very hard on a vanilla server to get the chance to experience everything rust has to offer if you have lots of irl obligations.
You can't watch for kids if you're playing on a video games.. Maybe you should give some more attention to your kid

You need to play a vanilla 2x, that 2x was modded. Vanilla 2x feels better to play because it's closer to vanilla, and the loot you gain is more earned.
Vanilla is gay and for no lives who can spend the entire day gaming

It’s vital/atlas server is straight modded like a 10x (goal of server is to sit in monument for 6 hours and build base, then farm for 10 hours do some raids then log off)
I prefer vanilla because modded feels to easy and the loot is not earned
@@Smd614 Loot can be earned on modded. I like to tell people that Rust vanilla could easily be 2x the current gather rate if FacePunch chose to do so. It could also be .5x the current rates, and if that were the case, people would call the current 1x too "easy" and say that loot isn't earned.
In the end modded is part of the game and people are starting to realize how fun it can be (basically ever since Vital made vanilla feel like 10x before the recoil change).
But of course, totally respect your preferences. I definitely see the appeal in vanilla, it can be really fun.
I only play 10x at this point, I have 6,000 hours on rust and most of them were accumulated 2-3 years ago. It’s just simply the fact that I don’t have all day to play the game anymore it’s more fun for me personally to get onto a server and be raiding and pvping in 15 minutes.
Would love to see a video of you teaching a new player or helping an intermediate player to get to the next level! Great stuff as always!

1.5x vanilla for me solo / duo / trio
After watching crazy amounts of hours of rust, I finally built a pc, been gaming all my life never made the switch learning K&M and work full time.
Not having to worry about massive groups works for me. Slightly boosted as well, wipe days are Thursday’s, by Friday we are well off and have a crazy weekend before jumping off.
Wipe is normally only 4/5 days for us.
Vanilla force wipe is the best most raw rust experience. Just nostalgia and a fun suspenseful grind!

I play vanilla, mostly because I started there to experience how Rust is supposed to be. I've stayed on Vanilla because every server you know almost what you're getting before you get on. The difference is only bp wipes or not and if Outpost and Bandit Camp is merged or not and I really like that. Also just makes the grind more worth when you get the farm/loot back home because it's harder to get for me
2x vanilla is fun for quick pvp if you dont have much time to play but plain old normal rust will always have my heart and when i can make time to play a normal vanilla wipe and fight for that sweet loot and the struggle of solo or the fun when i can get friends together for a wipe is always a better experience

The problem with vanilla is that it requires so much more time and dedication to really progress. Not everyone has the time to do that. You have school or work? Offlined. Sleep? Offlined. Unless you play in massive clans with time coverage around the clock it becomes very frustrating. Modded makes it so you can progress much faster to get into the actual fun parts of the game such as pvp and raiding. Different strokes for different folks I get. As someone who is older than the average gamer, with kids, modded is the best way to go. The vital 2x server you played on is a 2 day wipe. The reason the server lagged so hard is because they were loading in events such as 8v8 koth or maze. There is also offline protection overnight so you get a steady stream of online raids almost every wipe. Great video!

As somone who has a lot of real life responsibilities, I play modded when I just want to pvp and mess around. Vanilla is for when I can dedicate 2-3 days to actually grind, but the satisfaction of getting loaded on vanilla is unparalleled
75% of players play on modded servers because they can't dedicate their entire lives to the game

@@carloswinchester2623 oil is a good speedrun if you are good, I dont wanna get good I wanna gods goofiest gamer, and not have to run the same meta route every time. Sure hitting barrels -> go outpost, craft crossy nailgun -> buy boat ->oil for guns is a surefire way to progress if you dont mess up, problem is I dont wanna do that every time and getting to play with some more endgame stuff without dedicating 10+ hours to a wipe is more fun. To each their own at the end of the day

I play modded with a vanilla gather rate. I love the custom events and just the overall experience better. All the custom plugins and things like custom outposts and other custom monuments just make each server unique and different from the others
After being a vanilla player for years it was fun to progress and be able to run servers and enjoy the benefits of grinding. However as I get older I find that I don’t have the same time I used to. Nowadays I play 3x’s, and mostly 10x’s to enjoy getting a base down and enjoy pvp.
Im playing now for like 2 years on 2x Vanilla in a 4 Day wipe shedule. Bp wipe is only to force, I love it

I started out playing rustified us main as thats whay my cousins played. Eventually moving to Rustymoose main mid to late 2010's as that waas the go to server for comp players at the time. And eventually finally Rustoria US Main where i prob spent 2.5k hours of my life
you are on a clan server, prob vital. as a clan player myself this server is made to progress fast so teams can go roam the next day with boxes of kits and aks. its easy to get a box of scrap first hour and materials to get base down quick. i wold suggest doing a duo with stevie maby on his 2x servers og play upsurge or somthing. but great vid, keep it up hJune
I usually play modded Vanilla 1.5x and 2x because it still has the feeling if earning loot while not having as much of a grindy feel
PVE servers like Zombieland are super fun, custom raids and all, very good for new players and people who can't sink hours into a normal wipe.
wish I had the time for vanilla, but honestly between work and friends I don't have time for full vanilla so modded allows me to have a one day fun venture.

2x is not only less time consuming, it also is much more forgiving. Losing a roam as a new/casual player isnt as bad, still depressing but its not unbearable. Even if u get camped by s sweaty clan, raided constantly, or anything else, u can just play on another 2x.
I normally play vanilla when I have time for a wipe but I've been busy so I occasionally hop on to UKN or Rustreborn minigame servers to get some quick PvP in.
I have never played rust, but I really enjoy watching rust videos
For me personally, playing modded is good for people who work or do other things and can’t play rust for a long time, you have all the time in the world for these videos and making it a quicker easier process not only makes it worth a bit less it also makes the formation of stories very hard due to not being on the server for long

Depends on the extent of the mods. You also ignored the OTHER segment of rust servers, albeit a small one, the PVE servers though I guess you could lump them in with the modded servers.
I play vanilla servers since it feels more rewarding, and is more fun for me and my brother in general.

i usually play 3x. Its perfect, in between modded, and vanilla. As I am in highschool, workout, and go to work, so i can only play usually for around 2-3 hours, and still have fun. but once its summer, i usually switch to vanilla, and sometimes 2x vanillas.

great content, but note that you joined a clan scene server, which has groups of 20+ on average. Try playing on some stevious or lower max team 2x and the gameplay is pretty similar to vanilla

I play on 2x stevious servers. I do this because it is easier to get loot and it is not as big of a loss if you die with lots of stuff
I work ~80 hours a week in an incredibly high stress field. I absolutely love vanilla and it’s way more satisfying, but I don’t have hours a day to play, which makes it hard. I pretty much only play 3x because I can start a wipe in a night with minimal effort and get t3, and if I don’t get off lined then boom there’s my wipe for the week.
I play on modded servers as I just don’t have the time anymore to grind for 2-3 Hours. So that’s why I tend to go to 5x servers get a base down so some pvp and then start over when I get offline raided. But if I had more time I think I would also enjoy playing Vanilla… also there are amazing modded serves like the backrooms server that are a ton of fun to play
I used to play alot of 10x, but then i switched to 2x 1,5x. just started playing on the Bloo Lagoon servers
I enjoyed the video very much but would like to explain the 2x that you played, it is a more clan centered 2x and most 2x servers are not boosted like that. I would recommend playing a vanilla 2x instead as they are more similar to vanilla per the name.
playing on and off since 2017, solo only 2x servers mainly, lately the wilijum solo only. i do feel like when i reach the level that i want i will be playing more vanilla with no team limit. But for that i will need to play more then one wipe every few months XD
Bloo lagoon 1.5x is a really good middle ground between vanilla and 2x modded. Only components spawn in barrels, so no more guitars and water buckets lol.

I play vanilla only, and because I play only one wipe per month (adulting doesn't allow for more loss of real life) it means I fully commit to the grind. That also means gather rates favour me rather than people who just hop on for a couple of hours and leave. On modded servers grinding doesn't pay off.
I am playing solo most of the time but still pref. to play vanilla rustafieded eu main because the server isn't dying after 3 days like most of the modded and it feels way more rewarding
Me and my buddy both work 9-5s so we can't plau vanilla and have fun like we used to, now we just hop on a 5x server pvp all night then give away the base each night no stress
I used to love vanilla and shit on every sever I played. However now i only play 10x/5x. But you can’t just play any one it has to be vital or atlas for the maze, roams and koth events as they are fun. Also the online raids are way more common and better if you ask me. But yeh plz try maze for a vid it’s so fun

I got my 7950x 2 weeks ago and i sanded the ihs on it for better temps and it is insane. 40k in r23 with pbo set with 85c tjmax.
I generally play on modded 2x, but only because with work and a 6mo bub I don’t have time to grind like most people. I still enjoy vanilla when I have the time though
personally i like bloo 1.5 because it’s about as close to vanilla as you can get with not having to grind as hard

I really like to play the 2x warbandits servers cause its just perfection of time 4 videogame. You dont have to care that much about farming and recourses and the smeltingtime is just way better than the vanilla way which takes you like 1 hour to cook 2.k frags

I play on modded because it takes 1/4th of the time to get to late game “I work” and it’s a lot less stressful if you lose gear or get raided 🙏
I mostly play modded 3x. Less grind, more pvp. I mostly play with a group from 2-4. I enjoy it more because in the vanilla servers you have alot of huge groups and i never really played vanilla in the first place.

If i play modded its usually just because i want more AK PVP so i just hop on a 10x for a few hours with friends. 2x2 with the floor full of boxes is a vibe
I wont lie I mostly play 2x gather. My reasoning is the biggest group I play with ever is a 3 man and the grind on vanilla is just a lot.

they both have their upsides and downsides but i thnk the main takeaway from playing modded vs vanilla is depending on how much time you got to play. Like if you dont got alot of time and you want to get the most out of what time you got, then modded is better (especially for content creators who dont got time but want to get some content) but you can also expect to get raided since farming is 2x faster... Me (as a viewer) likes watching vanilla more and watching the progression and the struggles of war for a single LOADED body xD... but this is just wat i think, id love to see what others think apart from myself!
Modded then vanilla. Had to see what it was all about after I figured out how the game works. Losing loot on a modded server doesn't hurt as much as it does on a vanilla server. Either way both are equally fun in their own way

it depends on what type of wipe do you want to have, if u want a 1/2/3 days max wipe modded is better but if youw ant a longer wipe and really want to feel the game go vanilla ( fear of losing fights and kits etc overall harder ) makes you feel the game better.
2x minimum with friends for Vanilla, 3-5x if I’m looking for a faster paced pvp oriented gameplay. Strictly Vanilla was my thing but it took up way too much time. Solo is just not enjoyable to me because I like to feel the satisfaction bringing loot back for my friends to progress and have fun together.
Statistically more gamers in general are "casual" players that want fun over rewarding experiences so i think it makes sense 75% of the playerbase plays modded. But nothing beats that rush of making a wipe changing play in vanilla. Vanilla the GOAT
i wish you redid this and went on a actual 2x vanilla rate server map that this looks like a vital map super wierd with nodes everywhere and just clan bases nothing else lol
I play mostly like Stevious 2x because it’s a faster than straight vanilla and because work I don’t got time for vanilla like that
I definitely play modded. Mostly just a 2x, sometimes I'll mess around on some crazy modded servers. Have a busy work life and 3 kids so don't really have the time for the vanilla grind.
