- In this video we reflect on all that we’ve done in 2023 from garden projects to flower shows and visits to various gardens. The people we meet and places we visit has a direct influence in shaping our own garden, allowing us to grow not just flowers and plants but also our experience as gardeners and people! This channel has enabled me to do so much more than I could have dreamed of and I thank all of you for watching and for your support.
Wishing you a happy and healthy 2024

Wow, you've accomplished so much in 15 years. We've been here over 10 now, but I only discovered gardening in 2020 so lots of catching up to do. Thank you for so much inspriration and looking forward to your plans for 2024 coming to fruition!
Thank you so much, it’s becoming a bit of an obsession now, you’ll be hooked on it too in no time! 🤣 happy gardening
Jenny
@@MurphysGarden haha already hooked. I've added several gardens over the last few years, planning to build a 16' x 24' greenhouse with raised beds in front this year, and would like to do a parterre garden (similar to yours) in front of that area. I'm sure I won't be stopping there 😂
So much accomplished in 15 years! Amazing!
Thank you
Loved the recap! Looking forward to seeing the new projects come to life in 2024! Happy new year!
Happy new year to you too and thanks for watching
Jenny
Lovely channel. Loved watching! Thanks Happy New Year as well to all who love gardens and gardening. I think we are a lovely bunch!
I have never met a horrible gardener! It teaches us so much about life not just gardening. Thanks for watching
Jenny
Wishing you all a prosperous new year. You've had such a busy festive period. Your dried flowers on your Christmas tree is a beautiful idea. I don't like a lot of baubles so will use that for inspiration.
I look forward to following your 2024 projects.
Thank you, yes, I’ve just gone right off artificial decorations and this is so much more personal and fun. A happy and healthy new year to you too
Jenny
I enjoyed hearing your year end review and plans for the future. I already have plans for my garden next year and will probably spend the winter refining them. Can't wait until spring to see how we both do!
Thank you, it’s easy to be over ambitious as everything takes longer than you think but we will see how it goes.
Good luck
With your plans too
Jemny
Wow what a great home. Would love to see a home tour ❤
But then I would have to clean the house and I’d much rather be in the garden! 🤣
@@MurphysGarden true! I’m behind with the laundry cuz I’m out everyday gardening since it started to get warm.
What a wonderful year you had! Keep having fun.
Happy New Year , love the renovation to your home, that wall paper behind you is beautiful. Have you ever tried drying peonies?they turn out wonderful. Looking forward to all your upcoming videos,I’m sure you have lots of plans. I’d like to borrow that Alister for a bit ,he seems to bring all your ideas to life. Does he have a brother? 💐
Happy New Year to you too. I haven’t tried peonies but now I will, they would look fantastic on the Christmas tree! I’m so sorry but Al is not for hire, he’s got too much to do for me 🤣, unfortunately he hasn’t got a brother and if he did I think I would have him working for me too, we could get all these jobs done twice as quick!! My plans would be nothing more than that, it’s him that makes it all come to life but he’s very modest and doesn’t like being on videos!! Thanks for watching and happy gardening
Jenny
Happy New Year! 2024 sounds like it will be an exciting year, as was 2023. I discovered you through Danielle and love your garden and tours! Your indoor renovations are just as lovely as your gardens! Can you please share the names of your wallpapers? They are both the loveliest I have seen: Serene and warm, traditional yet with a modern, updated look! Can’t wait to see the rill! It’s going to be perfect in that spot!
Wallpaper can really transform a room, the new wallpaper in the dining room is by Morris & Co and is called Pure honeysuckle and tulip in grey/blue.
The one in the kitchen is by Sanderson and is called Chestnut Tree is sage/blue. Another one which we have and I love, (it’s just visible behind the presents I wrapped up and decorated with flowers) is also by Sanderson, Zoffany and is called Woodville and is a classic chinoiserie layout of a peony trail with blossoms and birds.
Hope that helps
Jenny
Happy new year. Love watching your garden evolve.
Thank you and wishing you a happy new year too.
Hi, I'm new subscriber after taking an interesting in the garden in the last few years. We have a few topiary trees already that was inherited but want to add some more. Do you have any suggestion how to look for these additions? Are there specific businesses notoriously known for the topiary stock? I don't mind travelling for a good selection I can look through. What a great channel you have created!
Hi, I haven’t bought large pieces of topiary before so I can’t recommend individual nurseries. However, I recommend finding a local nursery, by that I don’t mean garden centres. Our local nursery has a great range of topiary and if you buy locally the transportation cost is a lot lower. Alternatively buy a bushy plant and have a go yourself, especially if you just want balls or spires it’s not hard to do and is a lot cheaper. There is a company online called Paramount Plants that have quite a good range, I’ve never bought from them but if you want an instant impact then check them out.
Hope that helps
Jenny
@@MurphysGarden thank you, I will have a look at paramount plants, and also start exploring the local nursery near to me. Many thanks!
