It can certainly help with your SEO to improve your old articles, it is normally best to update your content if you plan on editing it so your users gain new or better information when you modify your old post when you can.

If my site already has sutemap under AIOSEO schema and all... If I join search console then will it cause any problem??

Changing the settings should still affect chrome, you mainly need to wait for chrome to recrawl the page if it was a recent change and sadly sometimes Google modifies the meta it displays based on the keywords a user is looking for.
My Google Verification keeps failling and I don't understand why, I am following the directions exactly as the site says. The error reads: "We couldn't find your verification meta tag."
Ensure you or your hosting provider do not have caching active and if you do have caching active, clear your cache to add the new meta tag for Google to see.

You should be able to edit the URL using the default edit option in the post's settings and not need AIOSEO to change that
